What is the deal with these one shoulder armor pieces? It looks like your character was too drunk to properly put on their armor and forgot a piece as they stumbled out the door. Nobody in their right mind would armor only one side of their body, unless they were always crab walking into battle.

It's the shoulder you have facing the enemy? extra bit of armour on that side while not restricting the mobility of your weapon arm?

I was curious now and had to check what kind of clothing a "Duster" actually is. In the German translation, this costume is referred to as tailcoat, which in my opinion fits better.

The usual term for a "duster" in German would be "Staubmantel". Basically the typical cowboy/outlaw coats from western movies like "Once upon a time in the West".

Yes, I found that translation too and it doesn´t fit to the constume imho, "tailcoat" seems more appropiate.

The thing that made me LOL hard was when I put it on a male toon and saw why ZOS is so committed to crotch flaps. Like, they don't want to deal with any resemblance of male "junk" on these char models so, yeah, just have the crotch be the same for both male and female toons.

Let me say, I am MORE THAN OK with ZOS giving us costumes that are the same on both male and female toons. I want that, yesterday. That gender policing BS for RPGs was already passé when Skyrim came out. But it's just absolutely ridiculous that they would alter a costume by character sex (for example, the duster's buckles are for some reason shinier on the female version because I guess shiny buckles on males frightens people?), but they won't alter it so to suggest a male toon has anything downstairs in the way of cisgen junk. In a game that's already rated M. Silly, silly ZOS.

I still like the costume overall. It clips on certain hairstyle, and the bottom is a little puffy, and it makes my male necro look like he's the master of The Tuck, but it's way better than other leather-y outfits ZOS has given us. (Disclaimer: I got mine in a guild auction so I paid gold for it and not my own IRL money via Crowns)
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

Well, I'm not a big fan of male characters wearing sports bras (Timbercrow Wanderer). It just looks silly to me. They've gone out of their way to make his and hers versions of other costumes (Dark Shaman, Nordic Bathing Towel, etc), so it's annoying that they won't be consistent about it.

I do agree that the crotch flaps are a fake modesty thing though. Ironic when you consider that both male and female werewolves sport the same "package". They didn't have to draw that in there, but they did. Go figure.

Sorry to hear that. I do wish there was some kind of 15 minute trial outside of the preview just to see how things work/look while being animated (not just walking, but combat too). It'd also help show people how things dye as well if they got ESO+. Though given that there's been some hilarious bugs coming out of the Crown Store previews, I think that's probably one reason why.

It's not a bug, though. They just fix bugs. If this was something that needed to be changed then there are like 10 other costumes and styles that needs to be fixed.
The only "proper" error the costume have is the bugged buckles on the female version.

This is 0% about quality and 100% about opinion. You can't expect everything to appeal to you specifically just because you paid for it. Everyone has different tastes, so it's literally impossible to make a "quality product" if your definition of a "quality product" is that it simply appeals to your standards.

This costume appears puffy on the back only when used with certain personalities/postures :) Jester, Duchess, Beast... With normal posture, it looks much better:

For comparison, here is permanent puffy back of Day of Release Roisterer:

From a model design point of view, they left the phantom ass floof on the backside to have it fit better while riding mounts? Can anyone tell me if the real slit works or does the ass still stretch while galloping the lands?

Actually, it works well :o Interesting! I didn't understand this design decision at first, but after you've mentioned this detail... Now I see that it has the real purpose for the rider.

      I agree!
I would make some changes in every costume just for my taste, but overall there are many good costumes. And this costume is awesome, especially on female characters (thanks to silver buckles)!

The real negative side, for my taste, that this costume looks good only in default colors, or in the same color for all channels. I just don't like dye channels on it :/
But it has no annoying hip flaps/crotch flaps <3
Somebody might not like asymmetrical shoulder. I actually like this detail :) For the same reason, I like Bloodspawn and Mercenary shoulder styles in my outfits.

It's been long time since I loved a new costume as much as I love Dremora Deceiver Duster.
...Well, during it's recent return, I've finally purchased Gem Prospector costume, and my main character is loving it too. But that costume was first released a year ago, so it's technically not new :D

Yup. I think it's fine. Honestly the "butt puff is less bad than some others, like the Day of Release Roisterer @Fischblut mentioned. I mentioned that one too in my thread about this costume in the Crown subforum. Also it's more or less pronounced on certain personalities and body types.

It dyes quite well, I've noticed no body morphing or weird glitching. The only big issue is the bugged buckles on the female version which I hope will get fixed.

As for the aesthetic with short sleaves, one shoulder armour etc, that is a matter of taste and opinion, not quality. Some like it, some don't.
Even complaining about the name and definition of "duster" is a bit odd to me. It's a dremora's duster. A daedra. Looking at all other daedric styles we can see that practical to them is often something different from ours, if not nonexistent. It even got a pointy metal bit right at the bottom of the deep open cleavage/collar. I doubt protecting against the dust of Oblivion was an idea. Could they have called it a coat? Yes, but duster fits nicer to the name.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!
