Midyear Mayhem Achievement broken?

Hand of the Whitestrake - collect 25 Midyear boon boxes.
I’ve just done all Imperial City daily quests, 3 Cyrodiil daily quests, and a random Battleground. Acquired a total of 10 chests but only two of them counted towards the achievement?
Anyone else experiencing this or am I missing something? Thanks in advance

Misamati✭Edit: just done another Battleground and got a boon box. This one advanced my achievement. It appears as if only boxes obtained from Worthy mail counts towards progress on the achievement.1

✭✭✭✭✭There are two boxes that are dropping during this event. They have identical names, but different IDs.
Generally, when ZOS re-runs an event, they create new boxes. Same name and appearance, but different IDs. This is their way of preventing new items from dropping from old boxes that people might have saved up.
Item ID 175563 is the new box for the June 2021 Midyear Mayhem and it drops the new fragments for the banner weapon styles. These are dropping from quest rewards.
Item ID 171535 is the old box from the February 2021 Midyear Mayhem. These are dropping from Rewards for the Worthy mails.

- The new box does not advance the achievement; only the old box does.

In this case, many would agree with you. After all it isn't our fault someone messed up with the boxes thus making an acheivement virtually impossible to get. I was hoping to maybe make progress on getting the laurel this year but that's been blown to smithereens by this little bug. I suppose there's always next year lol1 -

Yep. There are two separate bugs here.- The bug where the achievement does not recognize the new boxes adversely affects people seeking the achievement.
- The bug where RftW is rewarding old boxes adversely affects the collection of the emblems required for the new style pages.

vellectraSoul ShrivenAlso having this issue and submitted a bug report in game (not sure if that'll be helpful), but today, even a mailed Rewards for the Worthy boon box didn't count towards the achievement progression. I've received and opened probably about 20 boxes so far from Cyrodiil quests and none counted. The ones received from BGs and keep captures did. Now none of them are counting.
A hotfix and probably an extension of the event would be for the best here.1 -

✭Got the same problem. I got more than 25 boxes today on one character to get the achievement, and somehow only 2 boxes counted.
Since I was doing this only for the achievements, I can quit the event now.

It's because they quietly fixed one of the two bugs without fixing the other.
Specifically, they fixed the issue where RftW was dropping old boxes. I just looked, and my latest RftW mails are the new boxes.
But the other bug--where the achievement has not been updated to recognize the new boxes--hasn't been fixed.
It's pretty disappointing that they didn't fix both of them together. Yes, it's good that they fixed the RftW bug, since it will make collecting the parts of the new style page a little easier, but that bug was also somewhat mitigating the achievement bug, and now the the achievement bug is more severe as a result.Edited by code65536 on June 29, 2021 4:09PMNightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

SkyMagpie✭✭✭Writing as of June 29th as people can see on the post but now NO boxes count towards the achievement. Tried with RotW boxes, quest boxes, daily quest boxes in both IC and Cyrodiil, special quest boxes NOTHING counts. I hope this is fixed soon because this is a very time sensitive matter, considering the event only lasts so long and people want to get the Laurel Wreath and the title from the achievement.2

javajedi✭✭✭Experiencing the same thing and have been stuck at 11 boxes since Sunday on one character still trying to finish that achievement. I had 13 boxes in the last 24 hours that didn't count no matter the source...RftW, quests reward from Cyrodiil, Battlegrounds, or IC. None counted. I have an open support ticket but they don't seem to realize what I'm telling them is already a known issue and they just asked me to submit a video showing the problem. I'm sending them a link to this thread. LOL0 -

I have the achievement on a few characters, but for those who don't have it or who want it on all their characters, you're expecting people to be patient for a year six months??

You could just close the event now and return it when you find a way to fix it. I know that most players just want the extra XP on PVP, but most PVE players were only trying to get the achievements. I think that delaying the event for few days or weeks would be better than just tell us to try next year.3 -
