It really saddens me that i had to do 20+ runs of vma for a weapon that now isn't perfected.
why werent vet vma weapons people grinded perfected?..
I can't afford eso plus anymore so i can't do orsinium now. the dlc costs 3000 crowns... to make things worse , i have the thieves guild dlc + imperial dlc, however i noticed the guild 4 pack price doesn't drop , not that i would be able to buy that 4 pack even if it costed only 2000
Why was this a choice... it feels so punishing after all mine and other players efforts. I don't mind doing vma again , but i just can't

Perfected weapons are barely any better... atleast for the staff and bow which is what most people use.
the arena weapons weren't "perfect... ified?" when the "perfected" weapons came into the game because reasons. you're not the first one (nor the only one) to feel sad about that. we voiced our outrage back then, they (ZOS) didn't care. so you have to grind vMA again if you want that little bit of extra the "perfected" weapons give you..
and an easy way to get the orsinium DLC is to grind gold and then buy crowns with it (through a trusted source, there are plenty of them out there). it will take some time, but it's an easy and, most of all free way to get your desired Crown store stuff..

i'll try to find a gold making guide... i'll need like 1300 000 k... my max till today was 400k

Instead of doing the above, PMs chose to (as far as I'm aware, correct me if I'm wrong here):
1. Create a new piece of equipment that matches the old-old versions of vMA weapons (or buffed versions of existing vMA weapons for those who are not familiar with them), and added these to the loot tables for veteran.
The same guildmate explained that the weapon used to have a static stat but was replaced with the ability to enchant the weapon. I expect that means the current perfect weapon is superior to the original design since it has a static stat and can be enchanted. They may be incorrect as I am merely repeating what I understood from their explanation.
The change to vMA weapons made it as if we never did the arena on veteran before - all our previous veteran weapons became normal versions. It's unacceptable to defend that. It's total disrespect to everyone who had those weapons before Greymoor.
Also, it would be no problem to replace those weapons - sadly, it was just one person's decision specially to not replace weapons for players

The introduction of “Reconstruction” soon after the perfected sets further decreases the need for old sets and repeated farming.
Lastly, internal stats most likely showed that individuals who completed VMA often did so over and over again without issue. Combine that with events like the Orsinium 2x drop and Reconstruction and the extra coding wasn’t necessary.
Yes it would have been nice in the short run but in the long run absolutely unnecessary. Much like the stink that rose about pre Summerset jewelry not being deconstruct-able. It just doesn’t matter now.
I played Destiny - the real Destiny, not the hot garbage that is D2.
In Year 1, the weapon to chase was the Gjallarhorn. And it was an utterly random drop from a limited number of sources - unless you bought it outright from Xur very early on the one week he offered it.
Then Bungie capped Year 1 gear and we couldn’t really bring the weapon into the new expansion.
Then came the Year 3 expansion and the reintroduction of the Gjallarhorn - which we had to re-earn (thankfully this time as a questline reward rather than a super rare random drop).
...but they did not upgrade any of our Year 1 Gjallarhorns to Year 3 stats.
Moral of the story: this ain’t anything even remotely new or unique to ESO. It’s pointless to pretend otherwise and feign outrage. It just is what it is.
Yes the arena weapons lost stat bonuses back then got transmute, however you could now enchant them with an enchant you wanted, previously enchanting them would destroy them. And obviously you could change trait and before that the sharpened meta.Time is money my friend. Instead of making new good content, they finds ways too force the playerbase to redo old content.
VMA staff got introduced
VMA staff lost its stat bonus
VMA staff gained perfected version with stat bonus.
Hmm, weird how people got salty over that right? Same with the master weps. They had stat bonus, it got removed, then added again in the form of perfected.
Some did predict this change after perf asylum weps got added and the extra stats removed from older weps, but we just got told off as that was something they would not do.
And since I am already whining about zos, I can also mention all that xp I lost when they changed the CP system. One level for me was over 1,4mill. logged on after change and one level was 300k something. What happend too all that xp I had farmed?

Also the new perfected is the strongest version ever, the firt version to get: enchant, weapon effect AND stat bonus
Arnoldthehawk wrote: »ZoS have a way with making players to RE-EARN their rewards.
The argument of "you didn't grinded for that weapon specifically" is ultimately stupid, since this is an MMORPG and we're talking about the same content that before that update was just as difficult and grindy as now, the reward changed, and basically told everyone who worked his bottom off for the desired one, to go get it again.
They did this again with the champion points.
I'm just wondering what will be the next thing I already own and will need to get again from the same content I got it from months ago.
Imagine this:
Tomorrow ZoS will half your mounts skill level and says that is the new maxed stat for mounts, you can only level them higher by completing this and that.
Or...
Tomorrow ZoS will introduce a new account wide achievement system, but to do that they simply erase every achievement earned before Imperial City, because let's say technical reasons. Now go back and do everything again.
Seems extreme?
Before the vMA weapon fiasco the idea of what they planned to do seemed also extreme.
This is ZoS' new game model.

Made a video on this when it happened... 50% of the player base didn't like it and 50% don't care. Honestly... ZOS has shown a pattern of disrespect to older players... I don't expect them to value my time anymore.
Example... CP2.0... it also could of been implemented by retroactively giving existing players a exp adjustment but instead... Nothing... Again... Poof... 60% of possible exp that WOULD of been gained if we just didn't support the game until later is gone... Didn't have to be... But it is gone...
Put a 1000 hours of exp gains into the game pre 2.0... cool... That would only take 400 hours now... Could they have retroactively gave us that exp... Yep... Did they?... Nope... Why?... Because we are dumb enough to keep playing (myself included... Albeit less...) And if we need to do more... Like gain more CP we would of already earned or redo tired old content for weapons even though we already earned them... Well that means we are online...https://youtu.be/saNukVjlLxI
I still tell my friends to try ESO but I don't insult them by pretending the developers care about our efforts...

You’re not supposed to reach 3600. Singular purpose combat potential is supposed to max out around 1700 next patch. If you want to grind to 3600 for no reason that’s on you but it’s pointless long long before then.
