Are you aware that people are using in game gold in attempts to buy crowns? If not you should be.
I do not know any company that sell things on their store, and then let players totally undermine the sale of said items by allowing this type of garbage to happen.
it's bad enough players abuse mechanics, but now you're actually allowing players to get out of paying for actual items.
I also want to point out that, people have been banned for using CheatEngine mainly because it allows the duplication of gold. So if people are going to be banned for using cheat engine, what's to stop them from doing it again and dropping all that gold off to another character and deleting the character it was done with. Then buying infinite crowns with that duped gold?

Dont really know where I stand on this. Its a benefit to players that cant afford crown items but on the other hand It does let people basically buy gold.2 -
Could you kindly rephrase your sentence to detail what program they are using, and how they are using it?
I wouldn't be worried on whether this gives someone idea's or not, because ZOS will be able to track it if they are coherently told which direction to look at.0 -

Like Ackwalan mentioned, selling Crowns For Gold has been OK'd by ZOS, but as with any in-game transaction, you have to be careful not to get scammed. There are respected ESO organizations that can help assure a safe exchange, such as the Tamriel Crown Exchange (TCE).3 -

You have it exactly right. It is not against the TOS if it is only game currency changing hands (crowns for gold). Any real-world currency exchange is against TOS.3 -

I don't have any problem with GW2 system, it's awesome The exchange rate for gold is higher for few weeks now, since their Winter sales started - cause there are lot of nice offers constantly going on, and they return old items all the time, one item after another. Of course people are buying lot of currency with gold now 
Even 140 gold rate is really good at the moment, and I wouldn't expect the rate to go down to 125-130 gold any time soon...
I really hope we'll have some similar system in ESO!
Or at least they will allow us to insert crowns into trade window, just as we can insert gold there. 0 -
