Wait- I thought scheduled maintenance was on Tuesdays?

Please realise that while unavoidable these maintenance schedules fall during the prime (sometimes only) play time periods for SEA (Australia/New Zealand) players which means 3 of the last 5 nights have been unplayable. That's a 60% unavailability statistic for those who happen to be unlucky enough to only be able to play nights. Never the less thanks for the update ZOS_Gina so that we know that figure wont get worse (for now) for us poor souls.

A day early, but had the servers back running within a good time frame. Love that they continued with the same time of day as scheduled. And very happy that they are working out these bugs, while only having servers down a few hours this morning. Thanks ZOS.

At this time, we are doing the scheduled maintenance one day early, and tomorrow's maintenance is taking the place of the regular maintenance on Tuesday.

So much for that? I see there's maintenance incoming again for Tuesday. :( Edit: Or did I read that wrong originally? Timezones are hard.

While I thank the staff at Zenimax for working the long hours and through the holidays for the patch, I think a better way to make the "pre-maintenance feels" better is to give an estimated time as to when the maintenance can be finished instead of "we will let you know once it's done".

Taking WoW for example, Blizzard gives a 8-12 hour limit on how long it's maintenance will last. It usually comes up in 5-7 hours unless complications arise. In such a case, they will have another post (an hour or 2 before they hit the limit) informing the player base of difficulties and that it will be extended to "so-and-so" time or will be completed in X amount of hours.

Comparing ESO to WoW may be a bad choice but it's the little things Zenimax can do that will make playing ESO a much better experience for everyone, from every time zone.

As opposed to the game being launch ready and the best gaming experience from launch?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the US have Easter Monday as a holiday. So a normal working day for ZOS I think

With all the maintenance going around, I wouldn't be as pissed, but why are you guys fixing things really slowly and by bits? and nothing is improving about loading screens where you guys said you "FIXED" 3 maintenance ago...

Like I said the first time I'll believe it when I see it. Obviously the left hand is not talking to the right hand.

It's stuff like this that leaves players no choice but to not believe anything the dev's put out. More often than not it is still wrong. On top of that you never see a dev acknowledge when they are wrong either.

People shd really chill the f out. Dont complain about bugs if you dont want hotfixes/maintenance. I'd rather have a 1 week maintenance but a very good gaming experience than a 1 hr maintenance with s*** gameplay

    1. We are on pace for 3 maintenance periods a week, not one, even when they promised one was taking the place of the other.

    2. The first time they did "scheduled" maintenance that was only supposed to last 3 hours turned out to take half a day and ended up causing more problems than it helped with people having to re-download the entire 30GB client because their launcher sucks.
  • cisadanepajsuxrwb17_ESO
If zos promised a once-a-week 8 hr maintenance, while lets say the duping bugs ran rampant, would you rather them wait for another week to address the issue if they have the hotfix now?

Keeping tracking of server maintenance times is becoming a full-time occupation around here. Like I said elsewhere, Zenimax should just identify a block of time (maybe an hour) each day for server downtime and upkeep. Eve Online does it, and the community is used to it. Why can't ESO? This would solve about 99% of the bitching about irregular downtimes, emergency maintenance, etc.

Because EVE has had 10 years experience doing it and ESO has had 2 weeks, give it time, I doubt EVE had it perfected in the first few weeks either. Have some Patience.

lol they put the maintance during the morning so whats the problem.
Maintance gives them time to see if something needs to be changed or updated.
Or even if they have a patch to roll them out so what is the problem here stop complaining.
Maintance is most of the time for the better, its just that every time everyone needs to keep on complaining about everything.

Even if evrything would be fixed ppl will still keep on complaing because they need to make them self get heard.

Are you referring to the maintenance they said they wouldn't need yesterday? Also, last time I looked out the window it wasn't morning here.
