14 * 15 minutes per match. = 210 minutes...

14 * 15 minutes per match. = 210 minutes
~15 minute queue times (which is what I'm getting) x 14 matches = 210 minutes
Total Time per character = 420 minutes = 7 hours
Endless hate tells because I'm bringing a character with minimal skills unlocked.
20 characters across 2 accounts who are not at Assault 5 (16 who are there, so I've definitely done my share of PvP)
7 hours x 20 characters = 140 Hours.
140 Hours of game time. Game time I could be doing other content I enjoy more. Whereas the majority of players who NEED vigor are primarily PvP players anyways.
Because Vigor, a skill less than 30% of the player base can even use in a build (and only then in solo play, on certain classes), needs to be easier to unlock.
This is about ZoS trying to sell more alliance skill line tokens, and to say otherwise is disingenuous.

I'd rather keep Rapids as the first in Assault and put Vigor as the first in Support. Siege Shield could get moved back to third in Assault and still be okay, as it's more often used by experienced players and groups who siege keeps.
Yeah, not looking forward to the abuse I'd get just because I'm not as good of a DPS as other players. Some of us want to play WITHOUT abuse.CMDR_Un1k0rn wrote: »14 Battleground games, tops. You know how long it takes to level undaunted, psijic, fighters guild and mages guild? Not to mention all the time spent of farming monster helms/shoulders, dungeon specific sets and ability altering weapons.
That's what every pvper has to go through.
And you complain about a couple hours at most, spent in pvp so you can unlock vigor on your stam chars.
I leveled my newly created second necro I created with Skyrim in one day in baby PvP.VaranisArano wrote: »Yeah, grinding AP in Cyrodiil to unlock Rapids is gonna be painful on a slow horse that keeps missing big fights and AP ticks because its so darned slow.

I've only put one horse over the 5+ years i've played this game up to max....
Running in cyro from keep to keep more important than heals.... PVEers should have to grind up to vigor...even if i see these new stam players dying left and right because they don't know vigor exists i the game...
and by delaying the speed of a horse....certain things become more favorable in certain areas....

This is almost exactly the response I was going to give (same math and everything), except I have probably some 40+ characters to grind. This Alliance War adjustment is the single most maddening change I have seen for this game. Anything that makes the game less alt-friendly brings me closer to canceling the Plus membership I have on four accounts and saying screw it to putting much into the game anymore.
I'm still questioning the wisdom behind the whole horse thing. What does it accomplish? The bag space makes sense. The lack of speed doesn't. I remember before I got my horse trained up there was rarely any reason to bother with it for at least the first month. I didn't have gold to be spending on some horse that ran as slow as me. Really a fast horse just gets you to what you want to play so restricting that is just weird to me. Why not just up the price of purchase but have the speed already on it. It felt like decades by the time I was able to purchase on and when I did it was DOA.
I'm glad the OP sees why the swap is good.
You can get Exemplary Swift (+6%) jewelry without level restrictions for a easy +18% movement then add the Steed for another +10%; beginning at level one (1); There are many other options available to low level characters to ease the go here, go there leveling experience.
You just have to expand your horizon.
truly breaks my heart because I used to be afraid of "abuse" as well, and it's just... not there (or at least not as much as one would imagine). So really, don't be afraid and try it. BGs is the most easily accessible PvP game mode this game has. And even you don't end up enjoying it, you don't have to do much of it. You won't even notice when you've got your Rapids back. Just like I didn't notice it when I got Vigor yesterday.SydneyGrey wrote: »Yeah, not looking forward to the abuse I'd get just because I'm not as good of a DPS as other players. But if this change goes thru, I’ll be taking my 4 new low level (I.e.11) alts with hardly any skills and no appropriate gear into 14 BGs (or whatever it takes) each, running around madly with no clue what I’m doing, inadvertently handicapping whatever poor people get stuck with me, losing and (so people say) getting AP anyway. I might even have fun, but I doubt any of my teammates will.

Which new player is going to get that? Have you seen how many mundus stones Greymooor has?
