What are your facepalm moments that you only have yourself to blame for?

My biggest facepalm is not knowing a ranged taunt like Inner Fire existed when tanking the Twins at vMoL.
Each time the Twins needed to be switched out, I ran over to stab the other Twin with Pierce Armor, chased by the other Twin + party... and then trying to get back to ' our' half.

Hmmm....every time I die from fall damage.

When 10 seconds earlier I knew it was a risk and probably a bad idea to jump.

Or when I'm midair of a high jump thinking "ooh ***...0.0..will I make it??? This was probably not a good idea..."

I have a few friends who did that. I’m glad I read up on it enough to know to snag quite a few cheap ones before the chapter hit, and keep the ones I already looted. Not to flip them, but to use them. Those 50-100 gold maps are now anywhere between 2000 (if you’re lucky) and 10,000 gold (more and more common).

I saw improved performance the weekend after Update 26 launch so I bought it and resubbed knowing full well people were busy doing antiquities, which are likely low stress on the servers. I should have known better.

I need a new hobby so I dont get sucked in to hope for this game.

Died in Eld Angavar and respawned with a teammate. I was caught on the wrong bar and instead of buffing and teleporting down like they did, I streaked through and past the pad. I just fell to my death on top of them. Not sure who got the points for that kill.

I’m pretty sure I win the stupidest noob title. It took me about four days to notice the “use to learn recipe” instruction. Till then, I’d been destroying recipes to make space in my inventory.

I remember a moment back in 2015. I always played with the same 3 friends. We all had no idea of the game and builds like i was playing a magsorc with 2 daggers and only hardcasted c-frags xD But we all had the same goal: CoA on veteran. Back then was no version 1 of the dungeon, we all wanted that sick looking valkyn skoria helmet. We tried soo many times and always failed on the ash titan boss. Then, probably already 2016 i think, eso introduced the golden vendor and one weekend she really had the valkyn skoria helmet omg i was so happy. So i plundered my Bank. 100k gold Was so much money for me back in the days, took me like 2 or 3 months to get that much gold, only from selling stuff to the NPC vendors, still had nö idea how guild traders work or what farming was^^ so anyway i bought that helmet, i was sooo freakin happy to finally wear it and show everybody how cool i was. So i ported back to mournhold. Before standing cool next to the wayshrine, let me just do my writs and check my analyzes... Oh cool i can analyse a heavy infused helmet, i didnt really pay attenttion what i do cus i Was sooo hyped and happy about my valkyn skoria helmet! So i went back to the wayshrine and wanted to equip my new fancy helmet and show every one how cool i am but hey... Wait where is my hemet??? I checked my Bank, checked my inventory 10 times, logged Off and on again, and the it Hit me in the face like a hammer... I analyzed my helmet... Today i run vCoA2 in my sleep and kill the valkyn on the 2nd platform but still every time i pick up that helmet in the final chest it reminds me of that one day and that evrybody once was noob one day and reminds me to be more patient and nice to new players

In 2016 I improved two daggers to Legendary. But shortly before it, I made skills respec and forgot to put points into some crafting passives

Only after improving both weapons, I noticed that I have very few Tempering Alloys left. Then I realised that I just spent ~40 of them...

...Since that day, I never used any other dual weapons on my main character, only these daggers. One does not simply forget about all those Alloys

I did that with gladiator set...around the same time ....i still got the set lol....
