If you could revert the game balance to an old patch which would it be?

No wonder most people picked pre Morrowind. There is also plenty patches to chose from before Morrowind. While game was never again close to what Orsinium was. I did consider One Tamriel to be abomination at it's times, now I wish it never ended. Especially when I think about the garbage we are dealing with now...

Game balance since Morrowind has been basically trashed and we lost a lot of players in our guilds because of it. The nerfs to sustain were horrible and they sucked a lot of the fun out of the game.

I liked 1.5 - 1.6. It wasn't perfect, but all the old classes had their identity. The game was the smoothest I can remember performance wise.

I'm stating my vote on a non exiting option in this poll. The game as it was pre-Imperial City. That was when the game was most stable. Not only that but each class was powerful in its own way. Provided you knew how to use its skill. Sure weapon Ultimates didn't exist but they weren't necessary.

As soon as IC hit the game started going downhill slowly as each DLC was released.

Homestead probably had the closest thing to "balance" as far as PvP is concerned. Proc sets were absolutely rampant but compared to every other meta since then, it was way more mitigable.
    Dalek-Rok - Argonian Sorcerer || Dalek-Shād - Argonian Nightblade || Dalek-Shul - Argonian Templar || Dalek-Xal - Argonian Dragonknight || Mounts-the-Snout - Argonian Warden || Dalek-Xul - Argonian Necromancer || Two-Spires - Argonian Arcanist || Dalek-Nesh - Argonian Sorcerer || Dalek-Kör - Argonian Dragonknight
Don't incorporate bugs into your builds, and you won't have [an] issue.

Bashcro was epic :D but honestly probs 1.1 if it meant that the lag went away from reverting the botting / netcode and lightning changes that went in.

Balance is very low on the priority if you cant even play the game.

Wrathstone was probably closest. But every patch has had some good and some bad.

I was mostly questing and clearing easy normal dungeons when morrowind hit, but still felt the impact of sustain changes. After that things just got wilder each patch, powercreeps, op classes rotating per season, which is probably how things were and would have been anyway. But with the amount of new active players increasing by the years, the server performance got noticeably worse. The biggest enemy in pvp were cp500 guys, not a loading screen.

Thinking about it more I'd may've choose pre-morrowind because of the reduced cost champ passives and my Sorcerer would be a world boss. But summer set, which was the patch they nerfed crystal frag stun (R.I.P,) brought jewelry crafting and the Pijjic line which pushed my Stam Sorc over the top. My build was dissected and nerfed in later years, but Summerset was interesting.

One Tamriel, at least everyone was OP. Now the game is strictly stam, and warden and necro.

Killing a stam warden or stam necro on mag NB is not fun at all. Well, at least it's not fun until they die and rage about it then you see them come on forums saying NB is OP :D

    Morrowind
Game started going downhill after they tossed TES Bosmer lore out the window and started nerfing Swift and Major Expedition sets. Then there was hope with the werewolf buffs of Wolfhunter, but that was soon reverted until werewolf was rendered irrelevant again.

Also, performance and lack of bugs was at it’s best with Morrowind, but starting with the switch to 64 bit only has only deteriorated, with the worst performance ever introduced with Update 25 and the chronic stuck in combat / skills and weapon desynch of today.

Morrowind was the beginning of all the bad changes. It included so many changes not wanted by players. Imo you have to go back before morrowind

People never include a "none of the above" in their poles.

I would honestly just prefer they fix the issues and move on, rather than reverting back. I like all the new content, I'm only bothered by the performance issues, and the changes to vampire I'm not too keen on...

I like the balance the way it is now
As far as balance, I think it is the best it has been. Stamcro could use a slight nerf and NB (both) could use a slight buff.

Performance is another story... That said, if performance was fixed, the game wouldn't have been any better than it is now.

    Edit: speaking of PvP.

Morrowind wrecked stamina sustain, which was the final nail in my solo stamdk tank's coffin. I spent two years developing that character and ZOS just wrecked it overnight. Still not happy, Jan.

I think the addition of jewelry crafting was important for this game. Summerset was a decent patch. PVP lag was pretty bad on that patch though, so I quit PVP around then. PVE combat was really good on Summerset.

The one before refreshing path was castrated, when my magblade was still tons of fun. Back then my bosmer stamblade was also properly stealthy...
