Probably because the one thing that can be said to be consistent about it is that the timing of the listing is inconsistent. Predictable to a certain extent, based on past experience, yes. But nonetheless inconsistent.

There is always a thread in the News and Announcements category, and if they really want to know, just Google "ESO Crown Store May 2020". It's a lot easier than asking the forum then waiting for replies to do the job for them.

If you are unhappy about Cyrodiil, if you are not happy with all the bugs and issues that make the game unplayable at times, if you are not happy with "server optimization" instead of ZoS spending money to buy the required and much badly needed server upgrades/resources then don't buy anything from the crown store, do not support a broken game managed by a company that refuses to do what is needed to fix problems and issues that have existed for over 6 years.

Don't give them any more money until they fix their broken garbage

So I'm guessing you think working at a computer at home, is different than working on a computer at the office?

I ran a distributed help desk of 3 people who worked from home, in 3 different states, who used their computers at home and did the same exact job as they would if they were in the office, just less travel time to the locations that were geographically closer to them. They covered 167 remote locations by the way, and rolled out all new software and hardware for retail systems in all locations in one year.

I also managed 5 programmers who each worked in a different state, from home, and were able to do all the required coding to get the job done, this meant coding for an AS400, for FLEX register systems OS, for NT, Windows and all integrated. ALL from home.

I hired coders who were students in college, in a different country who were able to code proprietary software that each location used.

Ever see the message at the bottom of your receipt that says "You Saved xxxx" we were the very first retail company to ever write that bit of code, we did it then others followed after, and the people who actually did the coding all did it from home.

We were able to do this while updating all those computer systems software for the date problem in 2000, where the code needed to be changed from xx date format to xxxx date format, when everyone thought it was going to be the end of the world. And those who did the coding, did it from home.

As a matter of fact, from 1998 until 1999 all of these people did all these things while connecting to a bank of 28.8k bps modems, we didn't install a T1 until late 1999.

So no, you are wrong, it doesn't matter if these people are working from home. If we could do all this 22 years ago, there is no reason in the world why ZoS cannot do it today. And today it's far easier, there is video conferencing, and collaborative software that makes it super incredible unbelievably easy.

Anyone that tells you that the reason why ZoS is lagging is because of people are working from home? Well they just don't realize how many of those people work from home anyway, or what it actually means for them.

So no...

Anyway, it's not the people doing the work that are to blame, they only do what they are told to do. It's the management, it's the people calling the shots. You know, the same people not providing a budget to purchase more server resources. The people calling the shots that tell the people doing the work "just optimize the server, don't fix the problem" and then tell other people "just tell them we are optimizing, that will be enough" while all the money, effort and energy is spent on new content that only adds more problems.

Stop blaming the poor people doing their jobs, blame the ones not doing their jobs, their managers, the shot callers, call them out specifically. Blaming anyone who is just doing what they are told to keep their job is not cool.
