I pay for a craft bag and the dlcs but rest is meh performance is sh** lag etc but after this many years I've come to learn zos sucks and they can't make it work so enjoy it when it works and unsub and play other stuff when its at its worst.

I don't sub, but I'm curious where you're getting $200+ from. If you buy a full year, it's $140. If you buy monthly (which would be silly if you're planning to have it all the time), it's $180.

(I subbed the first three months I played, back when I got it in 2016. Since I was going to be playing a lot, because it was New!™ to me... I usually only sub to an online game when I'm going to be dedicatedly playing just that game. If I'm just going to be popping in and out as the whim takes me, no reason to spend $.)

Implying I pay for the whole year and don't take the most minimal amount every once in a while for the craft bag refill.

Another one of these threads? If you don't like the game or the performance speak with your wallet. ESO+ is not a requirement. What mostly ruins the game for me is people complaining constantly about it regardless of the changes they make.

The game has been UNPLAYABLE since the last patch, with minimal updates from the team about fixes. Almost every trial instance has adds doing 360s, skills won't fire, and the game just flat out refuses to work. This issue has carried over from the Harrowstorm patch onto the Greymoor PTS, with no fix in sight.

The fact that there hasn't been any clear communication from the devs about this problem is what is very worrisome for most people. The truth is, the game is completely UNPLAYABLE with the "desync" that seems to be going on. Last night we reset our vSunspire instance 12 times and only got one "okay" instance where adds weren't doing 360s and blastbones would fire...

There are people quitting in droves, and many people on my trial progression groups have refunded or don't plan on buying Greymoor because of this performance. People were even joking last night that they'd rather have to raid with only 10-20 fps again then have to deal with these bad instances.

These instances seem to get no better on the PTS. In fact, the performance seemed even worse which is very disheartening. I know that you have stated you are working on it, but to what extent? We as players, are very frustrated about the games state of performance. Getting this issue fixed should be the NUMBER 1 PRIORITY.

What I ask, and think we deserve, is for communication at the very least. Give us a weekly update on the status of the issue, something to let us know that you are putting every resource available to get this issue corrected. The game would be in such a great state if just this one bug could get fixed.

Less than US $140 per year for me and well worth it. Easy choice for me since I only play one game at a time and for the last several years that has been ESO. It is a beautiful game of massive scale and enjoyable combat. Performance is adequate for my PvE solo requirements. My 'end game' includes soloing most alliance zone WBs and soloing a fair number of alliance zone group dungeons.

The craftibag is very helpful but also very much enjoy dying costumes and having double bank/house slots.

The perfect game for me would be medieval fantasy, massive scale, beautiful areas, fun exploration, open world, single player.

ESO fits all that except it has the drawback of being multiplayer. My problem with multiplayer is not really the presence of other players; rather it is the neverending frustrating skill changes in a futile attempt to 'balance' things.

Prior to ESO, I played Skyrim, then Oblivion; both are great games but fall short in terms of massive scale. But being single player, I did not have to 'adapt/adjust' to forced 'balance' changes.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

I don't have that many performance problems, but do experience the ability desync. I can log into and play on both PC NA and PC EU. It is clear to me that ZOS is investing in the game, and it is not abandoned. I am still getting daily enjoyment from the game. My craft bag and bank space work. I am getting my Crowns. I am getting my crafting skill and XP bonuses. I am feel getting what I paid for out of ESO Plus.

I'd put it differently. If you don't like the game or the performance then don't play it. If you don't play it, then don't pay for it. If you enjoy the game enough to keep playing it then it's worth paying for it.

As for me, the year is going fine, and I've no reason not to continue with my two subscriptions. As a solo/cooperative and non-competitive PvEer without add-ons the game has been running fine for me on PC EU and NA, as it has done since launch. I realise that's not the same for everyone, depending primarily on individual playstyles.

Today was the worst performance in cyrodiil that I've witnessed to date. How can the performance change so much based upon the time of day or day of the week?

simple answer - server load and player behavior (ball groups) - in case performance would increase, then how long will it last?- People will tell others that performance is better now, more players come in and performance will be where it was before, just with a higher player number and increasing lag again - and the complain game will start anew - this is a sisyphean task.

It's not that silly. It gives you the option to quit when you like without losing money. And the direction this game is going and the on going persistent state of poor performance, only paying monthly seems like the sensible option atm.

I came back, last time i played before Murkmiren patch.

I thought i'd give this game a change again and so far performance has been okay and i feel i'll enjoy enough to keep subbing and playing.

    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

It's not the complaining that does it. It's the screeching and hyperbole that annoys people, then the bickering that follows.

Very happy with sub. (And does not cost me as much as stated!)

Performance has improved - was atrocious on ps4 pvp at start of year but much better now - even with what must be increased traffic due to more playing because of lockdown. Pvp is actually fun again.

Trials are also fine. Not had any major issues.

So on the whole, all pretty ok, and well worth the weekly cost of about £2.50. Half the cost of a pint or even a cheap bottle of wine. Not much else out there gives me this much fun for that amount of money.

Since I have no issues playing the game I'm perfectly happy with paying ESO+ sub for two accounts. My enjoyment of a game does not rest on "endgame" or especially pvp (the complete opposite in fact) so since what I have fun with works just fine (including I might add on EU as well as NA) I have no problem subbing.
