I think we should talk about 3 regularly scheduled maintenance periods a week.

It's becoming more than half of my potential playtime is occurring during maintenance.

this post is about moving the Regular maintenance day from Friday to Thursday (or basically any other day that is not a weekend)...

no matter when Maintenance is, someone will be unhappy. its always peak/prime time somewhere. be happy that the game is getting things fixed. silver lining, bright side, etc...

at least two Sandbox games I know of do a DAILY maintenance that last 1-2 hours a day... think about that.

I always expect to lose a night's play to maintenance in Australia - its clear that companies will not inconvenience their larger US player base. However, two nights a week scheduled maintenance is just really stupid. Zenimax is really showing how unprepared and out of their depth they are. No game should need two windows scheduled in per week.

Thats actually better internationally. I'd rather lose two hours daily than two days a week completely lost..

I'm not paying monthly for those games. Friday is a day that should not be in a maintenance rotation. I work for a software company and if anything goes wrong maintenance will spill over into the weekends, that is bad business. Subscription based MMO should maximize time played or not count time unless it is played.

Agree with Moving Maintenance to another non weekend day other than Friday. Also avoid doing maintenance on Holidays, as paying customers they need to know our green zones (our usage time(s)).

No fighting words here but given that one of your staff has already closed off another thread on this matter (odd my original thread hadn't been closed off but that one devolved quicker than a new politician!), ZOS are certainly aware of the issue they have created here.

Are you looking at this with any degree of seriousness? Doing this to such a large volume of customers (please nobody start the minority/majority thing again) is far from the level of service anyone would expect from a company who is charging a subscription for a service. Nor is it something I would expect from a company who is on to their 3rd MMO release. Even Blizz keep maintenance out of prime time unless they seriously break something...

The simple fact of the matter is you're taking a paid service down during your customers prime time. I know we're not the majority of your customers and sure it's not like as if it's 6PM for us or anything but it's really not the point. When it comes down to it, we pay more for your service than most anyone. I don't think it's too much to ask for it to be available in our prime timeslot.

I would really appreciate it if someone from ZOS chime would in on this thread and give us some level of assurance that you will do something about this.

I totally get that this is a freshly launched game and you have a lot of issues on your plate which I am more than happy for you to address as priority. But... I'm sure it wouldn't hurt you to at least communicate with your oceanic customers. Even if you're going to stick to your guns and leave it as a flat out no (I'm sure you're bigger than that ZOS), say something and stop leaving us feeling like we're paying money to yet another company that doesn't care about it's subscribers.

Again, no flaming, no QQ or anything like that here. I simply think it's fair that you talk to us and do something about the major inconvenience you've put on us.

I had to post this somewhere and here seems to work for me. I just wanted to say that I agree with what everyone is saying across the board... Yah the maintenance times are bad, they are long, and a nuisance. However they are also necessary and in some cases the maintenance times effect none. With that said this week has been a steaming pile! I attempt to login on Tuesday and server maint, well no biggie guess i wont play on Tuesday. I picked up my grind yesterday for a little while and dinged a few levels, which was cool. So when I go to sign on this morning im greeted with a down server, looks like I wont be playing today which sucks because well I wanted to grind it out today. Even if the servers come back online during midday as they say ill likely have lost interest in grinding, i might jump on do some quests and call it.

My point to all of this is not your typical "f this im not playing anymore", QQ BS. It's simply with all the downtime I experienced im not as excited to hop on and play, its rather mundane right now. I am your semi casual player who likes to raid a few hours a week, I have been playing MMO's for a very long time (RS,WOW,RIFT,LotRO,TSW,STO,EQ,UO). I was a beta tester for the majority of these games and upon launch I became very disinterested in them when I couldnt just sign in and play, much like ESO now. What eventually happened is I had so much downtime in the first few weeks after launch I just kinda stopped playing those games, and cancelling some of the subscriptions to them as well. I cannot be the only one who feels this way. I hope ESO figures that out soon, I have high hopes for this MMO and really would like to see it succeed. Flame away Trolls!

actually 6pm would be a hell of alot better then what we have now .. atleast after 2 hours of maintenance its still a reasonable time to play the game.. and at 6pm we are sitting down to eat dinner with the family.. probably even watching neighbours or whatever..
i would love it to be 5pm(2 hour maint.. back playing at 7pm after dinner) our time but the time of the maint isnt the main issue here.. its the Day that matters is Friday is the wrong choice.

+5459792 for this. I cannot even fathom why they chose this time let alone this day. I'm very busy and this time nearly cuts my weekly game time in half, I don't get to play much. I'm sure I'm not the only one..
