I know we're not the majority of your customers and sure it's not like as if it's 6PM for us or anything but it's really not the point. When it comes down to it, we pay more for your service than most anyone. I don't think it's too much to ask for it to be available in our prime timeslot.
actually 6pm would be a hell of alot better then what we have now.. atleast after 2 hours of maintenance its still a reasonable time to play the game.. and at 6pm we are sitting down to eat dinner with the family.. probably even watching neighbours or whatever..
i would love it to be 5pm(2 hour maint.. back playing at 7pm after dinner) our time but the time of the maint isnt the main issue here.. its the Day that matters is Friday is the wrong choice.

Well, really you guys should have your own Megaserver IMO, located in Sydney or something. I feel for ya, you guys get screwed almost every MMO release because they don't want to spend the money (I understand why, but it still sucks). Maybe down the road that will change, who knows.

why?
because no matter what time they do anything, someone will be effected in a bad way. whether they do it wednesday midday, or 4am on a tuesday, time zone is pretty irrelevant someone, somewhere won't be able to play.
suck it up, find something to do for several hours, and move on.

Actually you are wrong here... if it was 3am EDT it wouldnt affect anyone (except New Zealand).. since anyone it would be affecting would be playing on the EU server .. and Fridays are universally bad for Everyone.. and that is the point i wanted to make with this topic.. change the day from Friday to any other week day and its aok..

Zenimax dont care about oceanic players. They only care about not pissing NA playerbase.
Remember the previous maintenance schedule was on Sunday? That would *** off the NA playerbase so they changed it to Friday Morning non peak timing.
Why are we paying the same price as NA when our prime time is used for maintenance?

Not that I have a problem with what you have posted, I actually agree somewhat. I did have a post closed down of my own 2 days ago for calling someone out in the forums by using their @tag. It is apparently a breach of ToS to use forum threats to call people out or personally target them in a negative way.
Who knew.
I agree that having the maintenance days be someones Friday night is not good. That being said one does need to take into account that they can only change these days around so much and that no matter what there will most likely be someone that is unhappy with whatever time the the servers are down. People are always trying to play ESO just like WOW, and there will always be people that angrily get denied access into the game while the ZOS team does what they need to do to make the time that we are playing better. Everyone is not on the same clock and it is next to impossible to meet the needs of every single time zone.

If they are up playing at 3am.. unless they are shift workers it is probably time to go to bed like good hard working people that actually pay taxes and stuff...
yeah it might *** off those shift workers.. but thats gotta be less players then a whole country or 2..

Right now, with typical downtime estimated from 8am-12pm EDT, here's what it looks like (for an "average" person who sleeps at night):
NA West Coast - downtime 5am-9am - morning players screwed.
NA East Coast - down until noon - you work afternoons, you're screwed.
Aussies (all 3 time zones) - downtime starts roughly mid evening and ends around midnight. Everyone's screwed.
If server maintenance were at say, 2am EDT instead, here's what that would look like:
NA West Coast - downtime starts 11pm - you can't stay up all night playing, but you get a few good hours in.
NA East Coast - servers are up at 6am - you lose nothing unless you're a night person.
Central Aussies - your downtime is from 3pm-7pm - you start your play time a little late, but now you have all night.
A 2am EDT start seems to me to minimize the impact all around.
It doesn't matter what day or what time they do it it's going to interfere with someones schedule
