I like them both tbh. Choosing one over the other, just depends on my mood.

True, but I am sitting on top of millions of AP like many other players and I can not find anything to buy with AP.
Golden vendor is meh mostly, wish we had more options...

Disclaimer: I’ve only briefly tried both so far, but I’ve played PvP matches in SWTOR and GW2 and WvW in GW2 seems similar to Cyrodiil in ESO.

I like the intensity of BG’s and getting right in the action. In Cyrodiil (or WvW in GW2), I’m supposed to do what and go where??? I finally get there and... die... or die on the way there... No big deal in BGs and you’re right back in the action. But Cyrodiil feels like it takes a lot of time to not accomplish anything. Maybe it could be fun with a group, going around and meeting objectives but clashing zergs doesn’t have any appeal to me.

Most definitely.
Especially something like Mothers Sorrow, or Briarheart, or Spriggans.
You can make a small fortune.

Just make sure it's a tradable set. Hate to see you spend your AP on something that's bound.
Deadly Strike weapons, especially axes, are also a good investment for AP/gold exchange. I've seen a Deadly Axe, in Powered no less, going for 100k.

You can definitely make use of your AP!

Where do you find these people? In zone chat or trading guilds? Will I just say something like WTT AP?

In cyro I have feeling like im just here to make the group ball look bigger. Only when playing healer it seems Iam actually helping.

In bg it doesnt matter what char I decide to play and it always feel like I can do something about my team winning the game.

In Cyro I capture keep, return 2 hours later and keep is gone and so is my satisfaction. In BG once you win - you win.

I prefer Cyro because I prefer open world PvP and in particular medscale organized group PvP, but I also like BGs (only the Deathmatch mode), they can provide fun fights and you don't have to go far to find the fights

I do both but I do BG's way more because:

15-minute matches! If I only have 30 minutes or so.. I can probably squeeze in a couple of matches and get some good PVP before having to log off.

Instant action! No horse simulator trying to find fights. The match starts, and you're fighting within 10 seconds. If you die, you're back in the action in 20 seconds MAX.

As much as people like to complain about premades, the odds are 100000% better than they are in Cyro, where there's always a good chance of encountering a 20v1 situation. If you do get outnumbered, you at least have a chance to get out of it or survive it.

Scoring! I can clearly see how I stack up against other players. I got X kills, Y Deaths, Z assists. I can see how much damage/heals I did compared to everyone else. I can see how I've improved over time because my match scores are getting better, which is nice

PERFORMANCE! Doesn't matter what time of day or how many players are on, BG performance is smooth as butter. Cannot say the same for Cyro. Of course it would be even better if the Group Finder wasn't so borked.. but that's another discussion.

I enjoy both but prefer Cyrodiil:
- I prefer Cyrodiil's large-scale battles, (when they don't lag to Oblivion or obliterate my FPS), especially when they last a long time. Brings back fond memories of 2014-'15 PlanetSide 2 when hundreds of players frequently converged onto a battlefield spanning kilometres, all contesting a single outpost. Huge sieges look cool, I find defending/attacking keeps equally fun when both forces are large and balanced, (despite the inevitable performance drops), and taking a Keep after a long siege feels rewarding.
- More community spirit. A lot of BG teams I get placed with are usually pretty silent; Cyrodiil /zone always has a sense of banter or familiarity, which I like a lot. Enemy Alliance-bashing is fun, and the vibe is generally fun while appropriately serious.
- I find BGs get repetitive quite quickly as they're far more structured. While the endless Keep-exchanging gameplay in Cyrodiil is at its core quite repetitive also, it feels more nuanced; population, map control, Alliance tactics etc., can have a huge influence on whether the outcome of your endeavours is successful. I also like the juggling of objectives, (Scrolls, important Keeps, pushing/preventing Emp, etc.), while - again - BGs have a much simpler objective which I get bored of quickly.
- I almost exclusively solo-queue in BGs, and I face a lot of very effective/possibly premade groups. I find it frustrating when the randoms I'm placed with either aren't as good, are less coordinated, or don't play the objective, (or when the MM makes 4v4v3 games). In Cyrodiil, there are always other options if you're not having a good time, whereas in BGs - if there's one/two coordinated, effective groups playing the objective while your's splits up and each member does their own thing - you're pretty much doomed.
- The feeling of fighting for a faction rather than just as part of a random team. I'm not a faction zealot by any means, but I like that facet of the lore/gameplay.

Leaving technical difficulties on consoles out of consideration, all-in for Cyrodiil because:

• Cyrodiil is the most unique element of ESO in my book. Trials, dungeons, story, BG... all that can be found in so many other games but the PVP in Cyrodiil is exceptionally unique.
• It's more chilled. Queue up, play some, take your break whenever, play some more.
• No worry about the whole matchmaking process. Once queued, just play. No need to restart the matchmaker over and over.
• I like the size of Cyrodiil, I also enjoy what a lot of players hate: the riding from keep to keep.
• Cyrodiil has more to offer than just PVP. It has one of the most beautiful zones to enjoy, it has delves, quests, dolmens...
• Cyrodiil scales with your group size. You can solo or run with big groups to your liking.
• If you take it seriously, you can fight for many different goals: your alliance's points, emperorships, scrolls. You can be involved in pushing groups or groups of other purposes. You can cut off reinforcements aka ganking, play offensive or supportive. There can be a lot of tactics involved depending on how deep you wanna sink into it or you can just play pvp super casually and just do whatever you like to do.
• Sieges! lol

I just wish Cyrodiil would work flawlessly. Disconnects, bluescreens, tremendous lag, server desyncs and whatnot spoil the fun tremendously to the point of cba to play anymore.

Battle Grounds are fun. It is a good place to go if things are bad in PvP.

Actually, WvW in GW2 is almost identical from what I’ve heard (I’ve not played either much), but GW2 isn’t available on console.

I would enjoy the riding about if there was more to see and do in between. The part of the zone I saw was quite plain and boring IMHO and I assumed it had to be to accommodate when there are a large number of players. I much prefer forests and grottos — like Elden Root, playing that dungeon last night I was thinking how much I would like such a property to build in, but I digress...

Are there delves and quests one could complete by oneself in Cyrodiil and earn AP? Or do they all require groups? I very much enjoy group activities too, but to find a group much less keep up with them (mount speed < 30) is just a pain in Cyrodiil. Perhaps I should try it more but I have no idea and just get frustrated with it. Why, it’s even a pain to leave and I don’t know why I can’t just port out to one of my homes (controlling entry makes perfect sense but why exiting?).
