Main Story Quest "Messages across Tamriel" Bugged!

Vixus✭✭Patch did not help/fix this issue. I am Veteran 1. Vanus Stands at Wayrest wayshrine and is is unable to be interacted with. this has been bugged for 4 days now for me with no help. I have tried, /camp /reload UI ... load french and german clients. Travel to cold harbour and go south. Trying to port to people in Veteran content, Repair, etc etc etc.... I NEED a GM to Manually MOVE me to Auridon where I can start to play the game I paid for!! I have had guildies who have had a GM transport them so I am extremely frustrated as I am getting NO response. This is a MAJOR issue needing immediate support!!

HadlisSoul ShrivenThis was still bugged for me after today's patch. So, I went to cold harbour, traveled south through the portal to leave cold harbour. This sent me to wayrest. I then was able to talk to Vanus. Not sure if traveling backwards fixed it or not, but i was somehow able to progress.
Where do you travel south from cold harbor?0 -

We're at a point where all the crucial and meaningful information has been disseminated already, to no avail, what more do you expect from us?
We're not just going to sit down and let the thread vanish if that's what you've had in mind.
A temporary solutionhas been given a few times, which is for a GM to forcefully abandon the quest for the affected player, and have the player talk to the projection when it 'stalks' him or her for the first time again. -- This would be OK while the devs work on actually fixing the quest.

EVERYONE I encourage you to please try and switch your language to german or french in the launcher, restart the launcher, (in my experience i didn't have to let it update fully, i let it update for about 2 minutes then got impatient) change it BACK to English, launch the game and find Vanus standing in Ebonheart and he SHOULD be able to be interacted with. This worked for me and I have seen it work for others. (Note this is for those of the ebonheart pact, im not really sure of vanus' location on other alliances.)1

This solution does not work for AD players. Vanus will just stand there in Grahtwood unable to be interacted with. Plenty of people have attempted the language 'switch' trick already.

Milky✭✭✭I have the same issue. Although, I was able to talk to him in grahtwood after the patch today, but he said 4 words and then it closed the window by itself... and again he was unable to be interacted with. If you're able to talk to him, I recommend spamming 1 to skip all the dialog before it closes =/
I have put multiple tickets into support about this with suggested solutions. I get the standard copy-paste reply from a Khajiit and no further responses once they say they're moving it up the list to someone else.
I'd like to play the game. I'm in coldharbour now, but I missed a big chunk of the story, have no idea what's going on, and I can't do veteran content. GAME BREAKING. Where is the fix already? This bug is from the 2nd of this month, 13 days of a game-breaking bug, with no fix. Hmm. I hope I didn't invest my money in the wrong place.1 -
notbread✭I had this problem too. If you finish the main quest-lines of all the zones, the prophet pops up and gives you the last main story quest. After you do that you can go into different alliance zone.0

Maylinh✭✭✭Abonding the quest i had in Coldharbour, I was there to do grind some xp and took them because they were offered, worked for me. Or it was the traveling outside Coldharbour through the portal on the south. I relogged, in front of Vanus Galerion. And I finally was able to speak to him.

YOU are bugged because you are my in game husband so now my curse becomes your curse!! No but for real this bug is just plain awful and if you have it too wolf then i feel for you because I have been extremly frustrated as you know. Meanwhile german/french client changing on Daggerfal has not worked for me but thx for the ideas and the other things suggested has not worked. We NEED a GM to manually move the Veteran 1 player to the Veteran zones so we can progress! not sit here in game waiting for a response hoping hoping someone will help us move to play where we belong.

Milky✭✭✭A GM responded to me and told me they could move me to Reapers March. I'm from AD, so a lot of good that would do. Apparently that's the only place they can move me... I asked.0

qwaurck✭✭The quest is also bugged for me. I am stuck at the first part of this quest chain (Varon will not spawn).
I have tried all the possible fixes u guys supplied, but alas nothing worked for me.
I am still waiting on a response from support, been waiting for a day now.

Sharon✭I have had no worthy response still so have uninstalled my game and have been re-downloading it. still have some 40% to go. After my obvious frustration a guild mate and I got to talking on mumble trying to think of things to fix this and it turns out I was using the old beta client which had not properly updated to the live client so i am hoping when i log in with a brand new client tonight after work all my nightmare issues with this quest are gone
I still stand by - we need either the quest to be changed so it can be deleted - option. Or have a GM staff available to move players to the next Veteran zone to progress. *5 days now of no game progression* for me = /sad. 0 -

It's the last zone before coldharbour for Aldmeri Dominion, by the time of this quest, the player has already been in, and done a lot of things in Reapers March. The GM could have said "I can move you to your starter island" and that would have been just about as helpful to me as being moved to reapers march.....Where is reapers march? is that a vr1 zone?

Actually Milky you were wrong. I completed the quest with out a problem. I went to daggerfall as the quest instructed. proceeded to head to the mages guild, waited for the two npcs to stop there conversation and then the elf appeared. I spoke to him and boom off I went to speak to the alliances leaders, I am now in cold harbour questing.
So it looks like they fixed it now. So lets hope you guys that are stuck still get treated as a number 1 priority!

Again to be clear. I never spoke to him, just had the quest in my journal for a few days from the time i first posted when you claimed, yup i would be bugged. After that I decided because a guildy is also stuck to see if i would have he same issue, and luck enough for me, no, quest was fine, hence my update.0 -
Zythos✭✭Same issue, submitted ticket, my situation is the vision or whatever appears, I kept going, he doesn't show up in Ebonheart or Mournhold (it says capital city, which is Mournhold for EP, but apparently he shows up in Ebonheart). I've attempted staying logged out, changing language, just about everything hinted with countless relogs.
Not Fixed, cannot progress, cannot get to Stirk, there's no wayshrines in Stirk, so you're unable to port to anyone there.Dunmer Dragonknight - Wabbajack0
