Have you seen any improvement in FPS performance this patch (5.2.5)?

i definitely have seen an FPS boost.

I'm running and older mid-range system and FPS for me in cities has improved. I would normally sit around 20fps, now I'm at about 35-40. I haven't been to Cyro since the update so I can't say how I am there.

I don't normally have issues with ping in pve land so I haven't noticed any significant change. I'll definitely be trying Cyro this week to see what it's like.

Yes, a lot in maximum details. Also the blurry textures bug seems gone forever.

I still have FPS drops at certain areas in Vivec city (both bridges, both city entrances while approaching bank area, where the majority of players are). So far I don't see improvements... :/

No, 99 FPS before the update, 99 FPS after. No improvement, and I can't turn on any more details in the game.

I didn't expect better, since I have a newer PC and 32GB of RAM. If anything, it's worse in Cyrodiil.

I think the target was lower spec PCs and consoles.

You don't average 99 FPS at max settings. I can bet all my gold and crowns on that.

In the brief time I managed to get into the game today, my fps was all over the place, but mostly settled at 10... Hoping this was because of the server problems and not an issue with my PC :disappointed:

Poor performance in ESO is never a PC issue. It's a game optimisation/server performance issue 99.9% of the time.

My PC is old and could only manage 30fps at best. Character movement looked always jerky, now it's smooth for the first time!

I can imagine 90% of this community have PCs that they don't know how to optimise manually, I used to get crashes all the time on my 3600mhz ram until I realised Ryzen 2700x doesnt support it, down clocked to 3200mhz with super tight timings and the game hasn't crashed once in about 3 month, I think memory problems are a user fault rather than a ZoS fault, people buy random sticks of ram and expect them to work, they don't... as for over all performance it has gotten better over the years, I do finally get over 60fps in mournhold and davons watch now before this patch, I'm still yet to test it... I just dont like people bashing performance loss on a company when it's not their fault... also I'd imagine a good 50-60% of the player base have the bare recommended specs or lower to play this game... now I know in cpu heavy places in eso can send my gpu into about 20٪ usage even at 4k with a frame cap of 165 and every single graphics option maxed and reshade added on top... the game looks beautiful but the engine is letting the game down... 60fps with 20% usage means I've a massive headroom for performance once the ACTUAL multi core enhancements hit

Yes, actually. I've not experienced any long load screens, crashes or stuck in combat bugs at all. My ping and fps have also been significantly more stable.

That said, I know the EU Servers are having some serious troubles.

For the most part, no. However, there have been short bursts where the FPS improves greatly for me, usually in combat.

I often do poles and just exit but I want to leave a comment.

No change on our newish machine (an I5). But on the old machine (12 GB RAM Athlon II X4 635 and AMD HD 6950 Vid) FPS actually got worse. I now get in the upper 20's FPS in house Psijiic Villa. Used to be 40s.

If they keep improving performance like this we will have to retire the old computer.

I am consistantly sitting at 20-30 fps less than scalebreaker and spike down to below 20fps regularily for no apperent reason (not affected by volume of players and paricles on my screen)

    Diddnt enjoy PvP today 😭

Haven’t noticed a difference at all. A little more hurky-jerky in menus but nothing to write home about.

Weirdly, my ping has improved, but my fps has dropped from being over 100 consistently to varying between 30 and 70, just jumping up and down.

i take this terrible comment back, the game constantly stutters and drops fps.

the longer i pvp the more i hit these stuttering spells, they used to be common around certain locations now they just happen from regular pvping. These stutters also happen every time i sprint when ive been in cyro a few hours, so no the performance is actually worse

Yes, much better FPS, and I'm being kicked much less often. Only 1 crash so far, and I think that was my computer not the game.
