Add-on for placing furnishings

I am trying to build a structure using Alinor walls (fences). My problem is with aligning the pieces seamlessly.
Unfortunately I have a strong "be perfect" driver, which makes me spend a lot of time micro placing furniture until they are perfectly aligned. I waste a lot of decorating time with this, especially for this project, because in this case, the walls clip and don't look good if not placed properly.
I have a small add-on which allows changing the X,Y,Z, coordinates and the angles on each axis, but what I would like is a feature like in Fallout 4 where you could "snap" pieces together.

Is there such an addon? I want to connect the fences seamlessly without this endless tweaking.

If we could input or upload object coordinates, or use some kind of hash or something, a dedicated editing program could be used to decorate things much more easily. (Unless the add-ons mentioned are already powerful enough for that; I tried them and found them lacking, but it might have been just me.)

EHT has an option window for item coordinates, pitch, roll, and yaw. I forget what it's called though...

What @sueblue said - the default key for that is Q.

@ACaptiveMind Don't think EHT is lacking anything, really. It's an extremely powerfull tool for building. And yes, you can fiddle with coordinates: single item and whole/partial build alike.

@kind_hero , one thing you may find helpful, if you haven't already been there, is watching the tutorials on @R_K 's youtube channel. Very very clear, easy to follow instructions and mind blowing examples of what his addons can do.

@bayushi2005 That looks great. I was thinking of something without any restrictions (such as having your view centered around a character) - like a level editing program. I'll settle for add-ons for now if I can still make things look that good, though.

@ACaptiveMind if you think about free camera mode, I don't think api allows that. It would be heavily abused in pvp. There is Camera Control addon which allows you to add keybinds and easily swap camera modes, but that's all I know of. On the other hand EHT deals with it using two distinct editing modes - relative (default setting, where your char's position is the reference point), or absolute (N,S,W,E). It is quite ok with max zoom out.

I tried EHT, unfortunately it doesn't play nicely with the PS4 controller. When I tried to look at items in the furniture merchant the items where place in different spot so I could not see them.

When in preview window, there should be 4 teal arrows to adjust the position of the item on the screen.

I looked in preview window and saw the teal arrows and they adjusted the item so I can see it. Thanks for the info! Now I need to look for some good tutorials on EHT.

Thanks, trying to find a tutorial on the painting/mural fx and How to put them walls. So far when I try to put murals on the walls they seems to be in front everything including myself. It looks like its floating.

@AngryGremlin Fx only work properly if Sub Sampling Quality is set to High (game's video settings). I think that may be the reason for what you experience.

I set Sub Sampling to high and I still get the same problem. I'm probably doing something else wrong. I am new to this so there is a lot of ground to cover. Maybe I have to adjust the grid or something else. I'll look at some more tutorials and get back to it.

P.S. Adjusting the grid is always a good idea, by default the fx and builds' initial position is grid orientation dependent.

I got it to work. I had to uninstall EHT, then reinstall it. Changing Sub Sampling to High after EHT is already installed, did not fix the problem. So I uninstalled EHT including all save variables. Then with Sub Sampling set to High, I re-installed EHT. Now it's working like a charm.

I spoke to soon. I ran it today and the FX was floating above everything. This time there was no fixing it. Perhaps my old laptop's graphics card isn't up to snuff. I'm using a 2013 MacBook pro with Geforce 750M gpu. I'm using bootcamp to run the game in Windows but the Graphic GPU which was never a power house is getting old in the tooth(more like rotten in the tooth). I need to upgrade my computer but I can't afford it. So for now I'll decorate my home the old fashion way.

Mac! I know there are some issues with Macs (more on EHT site on esoui). Wished I could help more, but I don't speak Apple well

You still can use EHT for placing and builds even if FX don't work.

With bootcamp I am running Windows (no Mac OS). It’s the low end graphics card that’s probably the issue. I really need to upgrade.
