I have hand stretches I do 4-5 times a day. Mine are just about permanently half closed from years of holding drills and drivers for 10 plus hours a day lol. Bright side is Xbox controller fits the curve perfectly 😉

Ohhh. that would wear on a person.. sorry

I don't have arthritis, but I had a bad fall and landed fingers first on the sidewalk last October. I had fractures and sprains in both hands. Since then, my fingers haven't been as agile. I hit the wrong button a lot less often, and I find using abilities and kiting at the same time almost impossible.

It's ice and ibuprofen for me. And, if they're not working, then I need to have a break day or two.

I play with a controller instead of M and K. It's less painful for me.

Same. Also doesn't irritate my carpal tunnel as bad as keyboard either.

Yeah, I have carpal's too and the controller is so much better, IMO. Also, an occasional 'toke' doesn't hurt, either. :)

ok so what are some of your best controllers for hand comfort?

I love my ipega 9021's but they seem not so comfy.

I splurged on an Xbox Pro controller. The racing sticks make thumb movements a lot easier, and my hands cramp less. Also being able to move bar swap to the lower paddles is much more comfortable for me. Doesn't make bar swap happen better, but hey, at least I'm not twisting my hand in an uncomfortable way to do it.

Maybe in march i could try that... ish? around then. those are like 100$+ each? I'll give it a shot thank you.

these had higher than a 4 star rating so trying them now. just got them delivered in the last hour

got to go. goodnight all. thanks.

tried thes 4+ star rated compression gloves overnight. they pinch the skin between my thumb and forefinger. sending them back.

i am left handed, mouse in left hand, and using the wasd with my right hand when playing, but also at work.

using map on m ingamre as example while walking, rotations in raids but also key combinations like ctrl + c, ctrl v, ctrl a and so on have a really bad influence on the health of my right hand. the right outer side of my right hand already has chronical issues (moving the little finger leads into snapping - idk the english name for that, tendons are chrincally swollen and snapping where the joints are, leading into limitated mobility) and is reacting pretty fast on too exzessive gaming (some raid evenings in a row or work where i have to copy-paste a lot), also had to make a break from work years ago for 2 weeks years ago with bandages, the pain starts wandering up from outer of hand till elbow joint.

i tend to use something cooling it then in the evening as soon and try to get rid of the influencers doing that problems. means: less raiding, improvising way of getting around that kind of work which is starting issues in my right hand. and if it worsening again bandaging to immobilize the problematic parts of my hand to give it some rest.

Get Stuff like this (but not this stuff)

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The 360 and Dual Shock 4 are both pretty nice. Not sure how well ESO takes to the DS4, though. Generally speaking, I don't play ESO with a controller, but I do use them in other games.

Psst! If you use something like Unified Controller Remapper (UCR) or Interception, you can remap the inputs from any control system to suit your needs. Absolutely can be a gaming lifesaver for people with chronic hand pain.

I've been trying out UltraCell CBD Oil Creme. It seems to alleviate a lot of the pain.

I have arthritis and Fibromyalgia. A CBD tincture taken regularly throughout the day is what enables me to game and basically, to live with my pain controlled. The right CBD tincture will work wonders!

Passionflower extract and pretty much long breaks from doing anything intensive. My arthritis is in my spine and I tend to hunch over the keyboard when I do group content so I can managed maybe one trial or one vet dungeon before I'm physically tapped out and then I go to crafting writs or decorating.

I don't have arthritis but cubital tunnel syndrome. And sometimes other pains in my hands when I play. Some things I do to help avoid or alleviate issues:

    - never use arm rests on chairs or lean on elbows
    - heal or tank
    - pet sorc DPS (heavy attack rotation)
    - Razor Orbweaver
    - I moved "move backward" to a mouse button

    compression gloves.
I use compression gloves, but I also have to be really careful about exactly how much gameplay I do.

For me, I've found holding down keys messes me up the worst, so any game that REQUIRES you to hold W to move forward is pretty agonizing. Fortunately ESO has auto run so I use my mouse for most movement which saves my fingers a lot.

And then it's just a matter of monitoring pain levels. Some days after doing a lot of questing or dungeoning my hand or shoulder hurt so I just wait it out til I feel better and try to do less next time.

My right hand and wrist are so fkd up. I wear a brace. I used to skate back in the day and used my hands to keep me from hitting my face if I fell. Also almost completely severed the tendon for my thump with a throwing star. That hurt so bad I passed out amd woke up to my friends doing first aid.
