Don't remember much sympathy when Templar got nerfed into the ground, and I remember quite a bit of "overjoyed" ranged mag and Stam users when dk wings were radically changed. What goes around comes around.

sorcs were nerfed at the same time, fwiw.

it's been going around for a while, now, with no end in sight.
Just remember all you negative posters. You didn't speak out when they came for pet sorcs, eventually there will be no one left to speak out when they come for you. Just saying....

They already came for tanks multiple times. We figured out how to adapt though. Can you?

they did it again, this patch.

movement cut by 65 percent with immovable up?

    just *** brilliant.

Yes, you're right, there were so many sorcs coming to the defense of Templar and dk when it was their turn under the nerf hammer. /S

    Get real.

Matriarch is getting replaced by scamp and sorcs are doing crazy dps on PTS, what are y'all on about "pet sorc is dead"?

Dude seriously did you even run anything serious with that underhealing petsorc? First decent NB is going to DESTROY you, cleanse your streak, block and cleanse your meteor and then proceed to outdamage your pathetic heal by a ration of 1:4
Good luck, I will come back when either ZOS have fixed it or the ingenious community have found a way to mag a sorc viable beyond the glass cannon clad in a wet paper bag it is currently.

It's pretty disheartening to see people overjoyed at changes that deprive others of their own fun. Sure, pets in town are annoying AF, but that's no reason to laugh with glee at people who are disappointed by a massive change. I love the theme of a pet-based caster, and I'm disappointed in the nerf, but I'm far more disappointed in the community's reaction to it, and the general lack of empathy. But that's the internet for ya.

I cancelled my sub, it may not be much but it's my way of saying I may not fully agree with your nerf to the class I am playing.

Biggest problem with pet sorc's is >>>>>>

They don't know how to turn off the GD winged pet.

Biggest pain in everyone's arse, being blocked from using a crafting station, being blocked from being able to turn in items.

Being able to use the bank, being able to use a wayshrine.

That one is a bad one because some twerp goes AFK and the GD winged pet blocks use of something.

    5 yrs of this crap.

Well, with this ZOS attitude, I am going to use my Wardrobe addon and switch to dual pet every time I go in town and I will fully go AFK over craft shops.

All sorcs should do so, in protest for ZOS lunacy and incompetence to balance PvP at expense of FUN and PvE.

A bunch of petsorcs will become crafters anyway so... to enjoy some company they will keep both pets up...at those crafting stations :)

I have Scamp and dragon toy pet too, it's awesome to flood everywhere with flappies >:)

    Yep gonna do the same.

Yeah cos the Zoo Sorcs and the "12k crit heals getting, while LoS breaking behind their Purple Flying Crutch Chicken" Sorcs shed a lot of tears (other than laughter) and felt so so bad for ruining other peoples game experience.

So, as I thought, the jerks who rejoice are, as per usual, PvPers. It doesn't even occur to you guys that the patch also affects PvE.

Well deserved nerf, at least now we're not going to see matriarchs flapping their wings everywhere we go.

I'll not only be using matriarch more because of the surge heal, but I will make sure to stop stashing it in towns just because of this comment and others like it. ;)

Everytime I see posts like this, the one thought that keeps running through my mind is this.......

    STOP ASKING FOR NERFS

And not just for your most hated class, but for any class or skill.
Sorcs whine for NB nerfs, NB's whine for sorc nerfs.
    Enough....

We need to stop this, y'all. Yes, the devs have ultimate decision power, but let's not forget to look in the mirror, because we, as a community, deserve just as much blame.

I hope you all uninstall the game.
I hope ZoS then closes down the servers.
I hope all those griefers and their wallets suffer in the end of it, I assure you, it's their life and a life goodbye that it will be!

I guess you could call me new to Sorc, but I’ve been doing just as well after patch as I did before. But I’ve always played a dps / healer hybrid on my Templar. So I’m kinda been doing the same with my new Sorc. Pet, for me, was never about the dmg, but the burst heal to 3 people.

well that maybe because the change has Zero effect on your game play, where as it does to ours

Very likely so. Since I knew that surge and regeneration were changing, I was already back barring a resto staff and also using Entropy. So I had a bounce in overall self-heals after patch. I agree that it sucks to semi-forced into using non-class skills. But Structured Entropy for major sorcery is a nice heal every 2 secs. And even the new Radiating Regeneration ( formerly Mutagen ) is a solid heal. And I'll prob stick with Ward Ally instead of the Sorc shield. The shield is more of a reactive use rather than proactive so you get a bigger shield. (similar to a Templar play style )

So...it really isn't necessary to use the pet burst heal I guess. But you'd be much better off using a resto staff for sure.

i dont want to run a resto staff, i didnt make a combat healer i dont want a combat healer so why should i be forced to make one? and FYI i dont run pets in PVP

I get the not waning to run a resto staff. I really do. I won't engage in arguing that point. All I'm saying is that Structured Entropy, the new resto regeneration heals, and the resto shield are solid heals for self. That is all

I do both PvP and PvE... vet trials are fun... i enjoy all group activities... solo questing on the other hand.. ugh...

My magsorc was my PvE dps toon (with and without pets), until Wrathstone... then i swapped to magplar dps and ran a pet-less, ward-less mag sorc for PvP. Until they nerfed resto ulti, without Major Protection ward-less was a bit too much. Still can clap in BGs but much harder to survive.

It's always easier to adapt in PvE than having to deal with broken skills/mechs in PvP...

says who? i've not seen one post or vid to confirm this, in fact you only have to read the forums to see the opposite is in fct the case

Trouble with links... 94k dps pet sorc in scalebreaker pts...

    https://youtu.be/Y6mho25B63I

He needs to do a parse with NO PET. He had his MagSorc page setup as a one-pet build and I still didn't like it cuz I tried it. I hated it.

again......a cheese dummy build with zaan's is hardly reflective of true trial/dungeon DPS where you actually have to take damage, heal, roll dodge and block,

For the longest time I've been of the opinion that sorc pets should go back to being utility pets for healing and tanking, not damage. Matriarch used to be a pocket healer, clannfear used to be a pocket tank. I think they scrapped it because they didn't know how to implement good pet controls, so they turned them into a weird passive dps thing. I don't think that's a good design decision, but you know how it is with ZOS.

I'd gladly amp up my own shadenfreude by driving a shovel to the face of those jerks.

Yeah, pets are awful in this game. That comes from a person who mained pet classes in MMOs for almost 2 decades, except in this game. No direct control, not even a health bar without mods... What were they thinking ? Yet, they exist, they can be fun to play, and morons who rejoice at seing other people's fun ruined will probably be whining over and over again when their oh-so-precious character gets nerfed too, at some point.

And when the day comes, I'll have some popcorn ready.

Much of the hatred towards pet sorcs is because of their complete lack of common courtesy in towns by not putting their pets away.
