They already came for tanks multiple times. We figured out how to adapt though. Can you?

They don't know how to turn off the GD winged pet.
Biggest pain in everyone's arse, being blocked from using a crafting station, being blocked from being able to turn in items.
Being able to use the bank, being able to use a wayshrine.
That one is a bad one because some twerp goes AFK and the GD winged pet blocks use of something.
5 yrs of this crap.
Well, with this ZOS attitude, I am going to use my Wardrobe addon and switch to dual pet every time I go in town and I will fully go AFK over craft shops.
All sorcs should do so, in protest for ZOS lunacy and incompetence to balance PvP at expense of FUN and PvE.
A bunch of petsorcs will become crafters anyway so... to enjoy some company they will keep both pets up...at those crafting stations
I have Scamp and dragon toy pet too, it's awesome to flood everywhere with flappies
Yeah cos the Zoo Sorcs and the "12k crit heals getting, while LoS breaking behind their Purple Flying Crutch Chicken" Sorcs shed a lot of tears (other than laughter) and felt so so bad for ruining other peoples game experience.

I guess you could call me new to Sorc, but I’ve been doing just as well after patch as I did before. But I’ve always played a dps / healer hybrid on my Templar. So I’m kinda been doing the same with my new Sorc. Pet, for me, was never about the dmg, but the burst heal to 3 people.

well that maybe because the change has Zero effect on your game play, where as it does to ours

Very likely so. Since I knew that surge and regeneration were changing, I was already back barring a resto staff and also using Entropy. So I had a bounce in overall self-heals after patch. I agree that it sucks to semi-forced into using non-class skills. But Structured Entropy for major sorcery is a nice heal every 2 secs. And even the new Radiating Regeneration ( formerly Mutagen ) is a solid heal. And I'll prob stick with Ward Ally instead of the Sorc shield. The shield is more of a reactive use rather than proactive so you get a bigger shield. (similar to a Templar play style )
So...it really isn't necessary to use the pet burst heal I guess. But you'd be much better off using a resto staff for sure.

i dont want to run a resto staff, i didnt make a combat healer i dont want a combat healer so why should i be forced to make one? and FYI i dont run pets in PVP

I get the not waning to run a resto staff. I really do. I won't engage in arguing that point. All I'm saying is that Structured Entropy, the new resto regeneration heals, and the resto shield are solid heals for self. That is all

So, as I thought, the jerks who rejoice are, as per usual, PvPers. It doesn't even occur to you guys that the patch also affects PvE.

He needs to do a parse with NO PET. He had his MagSorc page setup as a one-pet build and I still didn't like it cuz I tried it. I hated it.

Schadenfreude is the only sensation most of these trolls crave, recognize or desire.
I'd gladly amp up my own shadenfreude by driving a shovel to the face of those jerks.
Yeah, pets are awful in this game. That comes from a person who mained pet classes in MMOs for almost 2 decades, except in this game. No direct control, not even a health bar without mods... What were they thinking ? Yet, they exist, they can be fun to play, and morons who rejoice at seing other people's fun ruined will probably be whining over and over again when their oh-so-precious character gets nerfed too, at some point.
And when the day comes, I'll have some popcorn ready.
