    They haven't fixed this problem. Baoran I have not even had 1 email yet after 3 days of trying I get in sometimes just luck I think.

    Day 4 of not being able to login due to the game asking for an access code that is not being sent to my email.
    Reported it to CS 4 days ago, but it's still not resolved.
    First I had to wait 1 day for them to ask me more information like my game code and secret question. If that is needed for a support request why not ask for it already when you file the support request.
    Day 2 they claimed that I was already in game and said that my issue was resolved then. I was not in game and had still not received one single email with an access code.
    Day 3 they ask me to make an yahoo account and send that to them so they can change my accounts mail address. Why not put that functionality in the account management? Just send and authentication mail to the old mail address before changing to the new address.
    Day 4. Still waiting for them to change my mail address on my account. Still no access codes on email.
    How long is this going to take?

    Anyone tried asking for a refund for the game because you paid for it but they are still not leting you to play because of this whole code thing?

    My account has been locked since 8th April, I tried to log in and that annoying pop up window telling me my computer was not authorized, i have yet to any emails with the code in it, i can receive emails giving me my fist post badge , customer service survey, even replies to the customer support tickets i have raised but NOT ONE email with the access code.
    My wife's account is fine, she sits next to me playing, our rigs are identical and both our game emails end in outlook, she doesn't have any problems, i tried logging in to my account on her PC and that pop up appeared, even tried my sons laptop and again the pop up appeared and still no emails. So it cant be just the computer not authorized as i tried 2 others and it was locked.
    I have received an email code once that was dated the 4th before that patch that broke everything so i know i can receive them, nothing my end has changed.
    This tbh is really not acceptable, i know its a new game so you expect problems but not something like this with no feedback advising us that they are actually looking into this account locking problem rather that completely ignoring us and giving us copied and pasted general crap emails from support with no clear indications that they are actually doing anything!

    Why wasn't the temporary access code functionality tested during Beta?
    I would have been so much better for everyone if the problem would have shown it self then.

    I am also locked out due to this problem, never once have I received an e-mail with the access code. So after being patient I finally went on forums this morning and posted my problem. Ironically I just got the e-mail saying I made my first post.
    Can't you guys at least disable this feature until you find out what is preventing hundreds of your PAYING customers from accessing your product? (yeah you guys have already billed me for 2 accounts despite the fact I'm supposed to get 30 days free).

    Well I did get a customer service response about the access codes. but nothing worked. they apparently upgraded my status and pawned me off to some one else. still no response. when will they fix this access code deal. I paying for something I cant play. i don't know how hard it is just to disable the access code request. but please get rid of it. its not working. i just want to play. Im lucky if i can log in. but Majority of the time it fails. tell us something like eta when it will be fixed.

    Omg i got a comment badge.. and it came right to my email... send me an access code next time with that email. i got that one just fine. sigh...

    If you are lucky to get in but need to log out. log out to the character screen and window your screen in settings and minimize it to the tray. that way you can come back and just click play. with out risking the gamble of not being able to play.

    same, 4 days now "computer not authorized" no emails sent to me with a code, no reply from support except to close my tickets indicating the issue was resolved. It obviously was not. Can we please get a resolution on this? Or at least an acknowledgment of the issue?

    Changing email from personal domain to gmail.com has work for me, now I have complete access.

    Had the same problem. Here is what quickly fixed the issue for me:

    1. Goto account.elderscrollsonline.com and login
    2. It will ask you to validate the computer as well but will use a different code generator (I assume based on the code and email given)
    3. Checked my email and this code immediately arrived
    4. Use the code to authenticate the computer/browser
    5. Go back to the game and request a new code
    6. Check email

    Hopefully that works for some of you that have been stuck and cannot play.

    The problem is you get the same message when you try to login to your account on the website. It prompts for an Access Code.

    Try resetting your password on your account - that got me back into mine on the web. I haven't been prompted for an access code since in-game either.

    (Is it a fix? I don't know. Not complaining though that my luck seems to hold for now).

    It's funny how many "workarounds" users seem to come up with.
    Change HT in bios, change the password for the account, login on the web.
    When the real problem is somewhere in ZOS code.
    The only workaround that actually seem to work is to change you email address to gmail or yahoo, but that we can't do our self, but have to wait for CS to do for us.

    day 5 now, no emails with an access code. completed all suggested "fixes" with no luck. the first 4 days I was able to log in occasionally without the code by simply waiting and trying later with the log in screen up. but now I cant log in at all for the last 24 hours. All my tickets are closed as resolved or ignored. asked support to change my email to a gmail account and waiting on that for 2 days. dont know what else to do except wait it out. I thought it may be a email issue on yahoo's side but my friend has yahoo email and he got his email no problem. so I dont know...

    I dont have a problem with increased security, I have a problem with the email taking longer than 10min to get to me with a 10min duration of code validity.

    I have had huge log in issues for the past ten days. Every time I try to log in, I am apparently using a new device (not) so need to authorise it (what again??). It takes over one hour for an "automated" email to send me an already expired code.

    Over this past ten days of emailing and contacting through the site, including requesting phone calls, I received 2 responses telling me my issue had been passed to another department. The first response tells me “We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 120 hours” The latesr response tells me “We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 168 days” 168 days....for real??

    So finally I manage to log in last night, only to get booted out and face the same problem.

    Today I log in without issue for short period of time. Tonight I am back to having to wait for an invalid code to be mailed to me.

    This is ridiculous, and the "support" is non-existent.

    I feel like I have wasted £70 of my money on this, I feel ripped off. On top of this, I learn that if I set up a subscription it "should" solve the problem. Well I tried, but could not log into my account online, never mind the game, because of the same "unauthorised device" message. Finally I manage to log in, I set up the subscription, and this allowed me to log in last night.

    However, I am charged for the first month despite supposedly having 30 days play included in the purchase price. So now, not only have I spent £70 on a game I can't play, I have spent and additional £9 for a month of not being able to play.

    This is crazy, frustrating and disappointing. In 9 years of playing World of Warcraft I have never experienced such frustration - or poor customer support!

    Thank you, though they have taken my first month's money already and not applied the 30 days free play in the first place. Seeing these pages of people - paying customers (!!) - having the same issue, you think they would have done something by now. If this was my company, providing a service, I would be hugely embarrassed, and the very least I would do is publicly apologise and resolve to fix the issue. It feels patronising, I imagine they are sitting there thinking gamers are another breed and prone to /ragequit, the reality is this a a business to them and a supposed pleasure to us and we should be treated with much more respect.

    What they should do, is the same as Blizzard did with their mobile authenticator - put the responsibility on the individuals to protect their own accounts and not treat us like children by doing it for us.

    I cancelled my subscription. Way to take our money and run Zenimax. See if I buy another Elder Scrolls game. Your customer service sucks, and you can't even disable a feature that is obviously broken until it's fixed. You screwed all of us over.
