    This is ridiculous. I never get any of the e-mails they supposedly send. Now I am locked out of a game I am paying for. I guess we play at their leisure instead of ours.

    I simply had Support change my email from my personal domain to a gmail address. It worked the first time. Took a while for my ticket to get answered. I don't know how they prioritize, but I requested an address change. They asked for my secret question/answer and the new address I wanted. All fixed.

    I have never received emails then sometimes I retry and get in.This morning expecting an access screen I got straight into game.Had to go out now back and the usual access code required problem.All the things to do in the support threads make no difference at all.

    I had to endure this today, and no my IP did not change...nor did the computer I play on.

    It's a hassle, at least most other games give you the option to disable *** like this.

    Not to mention that the code did not work, and still locked me out of my account for 10 minutes.

    Maybe contact Bioware and see how long this lasted before the outcry overwhelmed them. Most people have dynamic IP addresses and don't want to but in a code every time Charter decides ti switch it, if the issue is not resolved soon you win because you got my $100 but loose because you won't see my $15. P.S. I get the email instantly each time and I still think it is ridiculous.

    Yesterday (GMT) CS said a fixed IP would solve the game login code issues and changing to a Gmail address would sort my account access code issues. I now have a fixed IP, it does not appear to have helped. I am still waiting for a response regarding changing my email.

    My ability to log in, or not appears completely random. Currently, unable to access the EU server but NA server OK. I have NEVER received any codes an have not been able to access my account (store, purchase history) since this issue started.

    Well tonight has been the worst I can usually login after about 20 or so minutes not sure why I never receive a code it just stops asking for one after a bit. but tonight it has been a couple of hours with no luck at all I have replied to the original email requesting to change my e-mail to my unused g-mail account of course no response to that so I sent another e-mail referencing the original hoping that might shake some trees. I don't think they care if they lose some of us if they did they would get this figured out quickly not just leave us hanging. This is the first time I have run into such a stupid system it is flawed so badly most folks have dynamic ip addresses and while they should not change often they do change when they do all of us unlucky enough to not get the e-mail will be stuck like chuck unable to enjoy the thing we have paid our hard earned dollars for. I got my statue and right now I feel like I'm the little guy being squeezed by zenimax

    Maybe they are focusing on solving the subscription issue first. I mean, it affect people's money that do not belong to ZeniMax. They need that solved fast before it becomes legal problem for them. They should just disable the ticket system for now though, until they have time to work out the kinks.

    I'm getting Access Code prompts from my desktop but I was able to log right in from my laptop. I was able to enter a Access Code when logging into my account from a browser.
    My guess would be that there is a bug in the game client that throws the Access Code prompt when it is not needed.

    I've worked this out. The access authorisation check is related to change in client config. I disabled HT in my BIOS, got prompted (did not enter code) re-enabled HT and did not get prompted.

    It's like Windows activation. Far harder to defeat than IP based alone. Every device in your PC is an authentication factor.

    Tried the HT thing sad to say it did not work for me I've been stuck since last night now not sure what these folks are doing but they better get it done fast as I can hear the screams of all the people canceling their subs

    So what you're saying is that these gold farming bots are ok to farm dungeon bosses over and over with no security hassles yet legit players get done over for logging out or crashing? Stupid.
    Never asked for heightened security measures for my accounts.
    I keep getting this stupid 'lockout' with no emails being sent until close to 12 hours later.
    This should be an optional self imposed toggle not at your leisure type deal.
    Turn this off for my account please.

    This security isn't working right. I keep getting the message and nothing gets sent to my email. Sometimes it will accept my login and sometimes I get this stupid Access Code stuff and no email is sent. Please fix this ASAP! I haven't been able to play when I want to because of it. You should give everyone a free month for this debacle!

On a unrelated note EVERY other MMO works fine, sad that after waiting for so long for this game to launch and investing money and time to play it...the company that continues to bollocks the whole thing up, days after the launch isn't the time to go making changes... that crap should have been sorted well before the end of this phase in the cycle.. but oh well

    Meh. Maybe or maybe not.

    They scan your system quickly upon startup but to what end they use that information is not known. They may be trying to identify the exact system or they may just be recording your configuration for use if you have a bug report.

    If every single time you changed your system like that the IP filter freaked out, then yeah, I would start getting interested. Just because one follows the other does not confirm causality.

    The IP address should be simple to determine from the server side, unless there is some sort of IP blocking proxy in the way that hides the true IP address.

    I suspect that if there is a detection bug, it is server side. It may even be related to overflow servers being used at peak times. That might also explain delayed email notes.

    Update: Getting Access Code prompt on my laptop also. After a few tries it let me in the game. I still have never received an email after attempting to log into the game client. Correction I just got an email with an Access Code.

    Update: Entered Access Code played for a while logged out. Tried to log back in and I am getting Access Code prompt again.

    This thread is just full of players complaining which is totally reasonable considering this issue is ***. However what is NOT reasonable is that we are getting no help/response from Zenimax.

    Why does the game need more security than my bank? It is a ridiculous system even if it worked flawlessly. I had to enter a code because my connection times out because I had someone come unexpectedly to the door. Last one for me, one more connection reset and I cancel.

    Agree. I ended up playing WoW for an hour hoping this would be resolved. Nope. Inexcusable. I'll play this game (if and when they let me in) for the 4 months that I signed up for and by then the next WoW beta should be out and I'll just cancel this one. Shame. It seems really promising, but if this is their idea of customer service (where's the "blue" post, folks?) then I'm out. I'm a customer and I'm being poorly served. With all the free to play games you would think the last thing they would want to do is to alienate a brand new potential customer base.

    To clarify: I log in. Get the access code message. Check my email. Not there. (What kind of system doesn't send emails virtually instantly?!?!) About a half hour later the email arrives. I put in the code, it's expired. Rinse and repeat. Then I play WoW.

    EDIT: LOL! OMG! I just went to check my email again and there was an email from ESO - I rush to open it, thinking I only have a minute or two to log back into the game, but no! It's this:

    Irony? This is not my first comment, and I already earned the "badge", AND the email was sent VIRTUALLY INSTANTLY!!!!! Unlike the access code email, which would actually allow me to play the game. I better see some time credited to my account like WoW would do if they screwed up my playtime unnecessarily.

    Tried to login at 10:29, got the access code error. Checked my email, it came in at 10:37. Great, right! Nope. Denied. Shutting this crap down for the night. Didn't play all day, getting really grumpy. Want my money back.

    I thought the update would have fixed the problem . Getting into the game is like flipping a coin and betting on heads but getting tails 99% of the time :(

    I'm not geting any e-mails for those codes. First it was just problem for my laptop and I couldn't play in my laptop because of that and now it is asking code in my desktop computer as well and I can't play at all. I tried contacting e-mail support and I got just copy/paste of some random nonsense about firewalls and spam folders. I don't have any such folder where those e-mails could hide and e-mail server is not at my home so my firewall could not block any e-mails. What I should do that I can actually play?

    They haven't fixed this problem. Baoran I have not even had 1 email yet after 3 days of trying I get in sometimes just luck I think.
