Guys - you are looking at this situation all wrong. This is a chance for us to skill up our forum points and earn some badges on here. Relax. As @Taven said - they probably can't make heads or tails of the situation. Give them some time to figure out "what broke this time?"
Get off their nuts dude.. wow lmao

Also, as a developer, i've never seen a bug that an entire team of developers can't squash together in less than 4 hours. So my advice? Just say its gonna take the highest amount of time recorded for ZoS developers to fix a bug (they should keep tabs on how long it takes to develop features/fix bugs) and be done with it.
If I client calls me in the middle of the night saying his software stopped working, or has a serious vunerability that needs fixing ASAP, I am NOT ALLOWED to not give him an ETA. Really, if I don't, I lose my client forever. So I just give him some random big time range in which Im confident i can fix almost any possible bug, and hope for the best. Most of the time im able to fix it in less than what I said, and my clients actually get happy because I did such a great job!! And if I happen to not be able to fix it in time, I apologize and give another ETA for him. If it was my fault to begin with, I also give him a discount or don't charge for maintenance hours.
Edit.: Oh yes, almost forgot: I also inform him that the issue was correctly fixed, and promise he will never have the same problem again (at least not the same one). I also deliver a decent technical document describing exactly what the problem was and how it was fixed.

I can understand this, but they did have a lot of emergency issues they had to work through.Nyphrodelub17_ESO wrote: »Yeah, it would be nice to have an eta. But what I have a problem with is this: who the hell shuts down for maintenance on a Saturday night?!?!?!? Wouldn't it make a little more sense to do this on a Sunday, starting somewhere around 1:00am and going on from there? I guarantee it would go over a lot smoother with the community. I, for one, am really pissed off about this. Saturday night is my down time: no dinner, no laundry, no getting anything for everybody, you know Mom stuff ? And it's when everyone in the house KNOWS it's my time and to leave me alone. But what about people who work M-F and need to be in bed early? The weekend might be the only chance they have to stay up late and play. You screwed the pooch on this one Zen.

Um, wrong.
Problems w/ zoning and login were going on long before these idiots recognized the issue to bring down servers.

Most mmos do this type of string you along bull. They never admit it's server overload.. cause they won't spend money to add capacity when they know a month from now it just won't be a problem anymore.

Like last night for example. Early this morning would have been the time to fix these issues. Because they're pre-existing problems.
Edit: When I say early, I mean like 3 or 4 AM
