That is what AvAvA is all about. There is also plenty of play for small scale, i.e. BGs and unlocked campaigns.
No there is not, bg and unlocked campaigns are dead after 10pm. The only campaign there is action on is the 30 day cp campaign.
And were not role players fighting for the queen or whatever, and campaign scores are nonsense because the rewards are ***.
So why would anyone care about camp scoring.
Well bud I do along with a PvP guild of 400 others.
We don't like Cyro being turned in to a farming simulator.
I dont care what you want, for all I care you can keep zerging keeps with 400 people, we just want to pvp with a group if 5-10 ppl max.
Not for farming not for the campaign just for open world pvp.
Likewise I don't care what you want either.
You were given a whole other mode to play small scale in.
Good news we have faction lock back finally.

Yeah there was. If a character was in a certain alliance and entered a campaign, no characters on the opposing factions could enter that campaign
VinayExile wrote: »when i log in, i look what faction has the most people, and not to play on the winning side gives me alot more action.
this also goes for the group i play with.
I didnt start this game or pay money to be told to play the same thing for 30 days without any chance to change.
I want to pvp whenever i want, where i want, and not be limited to for example EP if they have the upper hand and there is nothing to do on that faction at that time.
Then i want to relog to another faction, and pvp on that to be able to play on a map that is totally red.
A simple solution would be to be able to play the campaign, but not to be able to get any ranked points.
Just normal ap, without being on the ranked list.

Yes, and it was removed for a reason!
And they also had 3 campaigns back then for cp, not just 1.

They still have 3 Cp campaigns, you know?

This is faction-pvp game, not free-pvp. If you do not like this - go play some asian MMO. For my opinion returning of faction lock was a great idea.

That post is not going to end well for your argument. Just saying.

What argument? I was pointing out a fact, and there is no arguing a fact... 30days cp, 7days cp, and IC cp. 3 Cp campaigns. Fact.

So, is the issue people are having because they can't switch up factions on a dime when their side is losing and hop onboard the win train on the faction that is dominating?
I haven't really experience a whole lot in this game, I've been pve'ing for achievement unlocks and what pvp I did do was from level 10-22 no cp and that was in bg's and it was pretty brutal.
Thanks

Right now on PS4 NA Vivec there are 2 days left in the campaign where AD is ahead.
EP is in second place and want to make a push, but lo and behold a large number of EP have jumped over to AD to enjoy winning side rewards so there is not enough EP population to push.
The fact that its sunday afternoon and none of the alliances are at full population (PC EU), when normally you have to queue to get in, says it all - Faction lock is turning players away from the game

This is really the dividing line between those who like faction locking and those who don't.
I could not possibly care less about which faction wins a campaign.
I just like to PvP sometimes, and I sometimes I need AP, and sometimes I want to farm Transmutes. But I've played this game since beta and never once have I cared or even really noticed which faction actually won the campaign.
So for me, faction locking is just a hindrance. Makes it much harder to farm Transmutes. Makes it harder to swap around in order to get the best short-term experience. Makes it harder to "play how I want" because now I can't really play CP PvP on all of my characters and get any rewards out of it.
And I would guess that the majority of the playerbase doesn't really care who wins a given campaign, either.
However, the people who take PvP seriously and spend most of their time in Cyrodiil probably do care. And I think it's good that ZOS made a change that caters to the people who take the content seriously. That said, I think the current system needs some tweaks. An additional 30-day campaign would be great so that everyone can have all of their characters homed in a full campaign, or perhaps there's some other compromise that would let the serious PvPers have the experience they want without unduly hindering everyone else.

You people do know, there is a almost always empty unlocked campaign right? Why not play there with each other, and leave the faction lock PvPers alone?
It seems that the players who don't like faction locked campaigns are the minority here.

Playing an empty no-CP 7-day campaign accomplishes literally none of the objectives that I listed above. What a horrible "solution".

How are you screwed though?
Choose an Alliance to play characters in the Alliance-locked campaigns.
For the off-Alliance characters, choose the 7-day campaign that is not faction locked.
Everybody wins.
I prefer no-CP.
No winning for me, huh?

so the whole game is one tamriel, where you do dungeons and *** with anyone you want.
but now all of the sudden, they think hey, lets just make every alliance seperate again?
just no, we should be able to play where you want whenever you want.
its fine if you can only get emp on 1 faction, or only get scoring on 1, but i play the game for pvp, not points.
Posted before and I'll post it again. I have 3 main PvP toons that were created before or during morrowind chapter. Years old now. Before faction locks were a thing. One on each faction. I'm now screwed out of those 2 characters. There's a couple others that I'll dabble on from time to time but whatever on those. Either do what that one fella said about making a 30 day non locked and see what the community decides they like best or make it so I can at least faction lock my account so I can play every toon on that faction. I mean, I own any race/alliance already
Shor.
