    Hey

Another crash from the loading screen.

Sure the time between crashes has increased, but the client is no more stable than it was in October.

Every time I log in I have to reset the permissions that allow this godawful abortion of a client to actually work. Every time.

How is it possible for ZOS to mess up their client EVERY TIME they ‘update’ it?

How is it possible for them NOT TO QA IT?

Who let this garbage out of the door?

This is an old issue that first occurred from the macOs update to Mojave:

You fix it on the mac side. This will explain it:

Yeah I figured it has to do with accessibility settings. so I've tried that a HALF A DOZEN TIMES ALREADY. So what the HELL do I do now?!

There seems to be something repeatable here. When I do the Riverhold Quest thing, every time I enter the townhouse, the game crashed when it had been running for a while. After the crash, it survived. That was reproducible.

I get about one to two crashes a day, often in graphics intense areas, like fighting a boss or something. VERY embarrassing, but the quality of the Mac client was *** for a long time now.

And we're back to the good old daze of regular crashes every 20 minutes or so

It seems that the only thing that has undergone any kind of upgrade is the support website, which now no longer gives you ticket numbers but replies with the cheery FU message

"Please note that this feedback will be provided to the development team and you will not receive a direct response."

At this point I'm not sure why I even bother reporting this to ZOS, it happens so frequently it must be part of their game design.

Even less optimism that anyone will get bothered to do anything about this.

So, to be clear, you need to reconfirm the Zenimax Online Studios Launcher under the Apple>Security & Privacy> Accessibility screen

(NOT the other Accessibility panel which enables accessibility panels).

I figured it out, thanks. Interesting thing is, I had to deselect the game. And only re select the launcher for it to work.

I'm crashing every 20 or so minutes. Tried the usual Accessibility dance that I do after every update and that didn't work. So tried the above poster's recommend to deselect the game and reselect only the launcher. That didn't help either. So very annoying...guess I'll put in a ticket.

And back to this crashing every hour or so bull.

Doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing, just total crash to the desktop.

They seem to have replaced the previous launcher with the one from pre-Murkmire, cut and pasted the same bugs, so we're essentially back to where we were back in September

Just the kind of service we have always had from ZOS

Sorry to hear about that. It doesn't even make sense why it works for me. But it does. I do have to unselect, and re-select that option every time I open the launcher. otherwise it still does camera spin. This doesn't do anything for the game crashing though sorry.

so... the reauthorization that I described is not to prevent crashing. It is to correct the camera spinning. Crashing is something else.

The issue e I am referring to is the camera spinning every time we open the game after the Elsweyr patch. It is related to Mac MojaveOs and happened last Fall after Mojave update and ZOS corrected it.

Now, the camera spinning is happening again and you MUST reauthorize the launcher in the Sys Pref>Security> Accessibility panel as I showed in my post.

****EDIT: I previously had to reauthorize both launcher and the ESO game, but you ONLY need to reauthorize the Game Launcher****

    Crashing is a separate issue.

This is correct. However I have to ONLY re-select the launcher. Re-selecting the ESO game itself actually kept the camera spin in game for me

    Crashing is a separate issue.
I'm crashing every 20 or so minutes. Tried the usual Accessibility dance that I do after every update and that didn't work. So tried the above poster's recommend to deselect the game and reselect only the launcher. That didn't help either. So very annoying...guess I'll put in a ticket.

This is correct. However I have to ONLY re-select the launcher. Re-selecting the ESO game itself actually kept the camera spin in game for me

Game requires force quit each and every time to sign off, this of course necessitates redoing the privacy settings in the system files, each time I load the game or the "endless spinning" problem occurs with each character.
Random crashes after about 2 hours of play time is still present, as is lag when running across cyrodial.
Things have improved but major problems still exist.

I crash every time I accidentally switch from fullscreen to windowed and back using CMD+F quickly twice.

ZoS, do you need more concrete proof that besides tweaking up the code base, you have to tweak the .app package in tandem and bring it to 2019?

Are you waiting for macOS Catalina to launch and make the game even more of a frustration to spring into action?

As for the communication part on your end.. you either negotiate NDAs badly (if there are any), or you just flat out don't consider it a worthy investment of your time to set expectations to the community for mistakes you've generated.

Tbh for this very reasons I am glad that this other big company is going to show something in 2 months. Having alternative is a good idea really...

Since the elswyr DLC update, my MacBook pro 2015 has experienced a lot of crashes. Prior to this, crash was very seldom. It crashes to the desktop. A reload of the ESO app then brings me back to the character screen.

This is funny. When I close the ESO app, i get the spinning ball forever. But yet when it crashes I go straight to the desktop? Can you combine the two and stop them so when I close the app it goes to the desktop?

Please. Also stop the spinning mouse requiring accessibility permissions?

And then when I update to Catalina, will there be a 64 bit launcher or will I have to find a new game? ZOS has know about the 32 bit "laugher" problem for over a year.
