Give an option to zero them out if you want for those who really want to hunt them again.
Though why must Lore Books be on a single account? What value does that add in the slightest? How does having those help me? I pick them up when I see them, but that is all. I have yet to find a reason to actively hunt all of them.
This basically boils down to those who want to grind more and those who want to enjoy the game more. And the grinders have won so far, unfortunately.
The grind on alts is what will likely ultimately drive me from the game. I am not there yet by any means, but I can see that on the horizon already, unfortunately.

I can see both sides of this. If you want to roll a new character, it is a pain to do a lot of the quests again. The tedium of some is numbing. That side makes me want to say yes, skyshards should be across all characters. Plus, I would go a step further and make new characters start at a CP 160 so I can outfit them with the gear my other guy collected. Why not, if the point is convenience.
But, the flip side is you do learn how to use different skills, see how the new class works, etc. And then there is the ZOS angle of wanting you to keep playing. And if you are going to create a new character, he/she is a new character, so they should be treated like one (even though the CP system says otherwise).
I thought I was adamantly against this until I posted this. I still don't know

How is it free if you already earned it once? Lol?

It's been said a million times before, but I'll agree again.
Remember when you had to grind to Vet 16 on each toon, plus skyshards, lorebooks, and you didn't have 150% xp pots?
And when Assault/Support took 10x longer to get for each character....
And we had to lick the road clean.
I mean the 1-50 grind isn't too bad. I dont mind levelling alts just so I can learn how they play. Recently my other fav game allows you to buy chracters at 70 percent level wise. I think it's good because at least you get levels to learn your class. Dlc skill lines could be account wide. Ill never do psyjic on alts ever it's just not happening.

Are you willing to share your skillpoint pool across all characters?DanteMR1995 wrote: »PLEASE DO THIS!!! SO ANNOYING TO DO THIS ON EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER...Narvuntien wrote: »No.

It really is not going to happen.
!. granting the huge amount of skill points all the sky shards grant to any ne lvl 1 character rolled is doubtful to interest Zos for what should be obvious reasons.
2. this one is much clearer, granting a fully leveled mage guild line to every lvl 1 character is 100% a bad idea. OMG, lol, below 50 cyrodiil would be no place for a new player when much of the field would have meteor on the first day the character is rolled. Not to mention some of the other skills and passives.
Why don't we just sell instantly maxed characters in the crown store. That would solve the issue you are facing. Win/win situation. We get it so easy it is boring and Zos makes some bank. 25k crowns each.

From the Zone Guide, you can press a button on the bottom of the screen to guide you to the location of your next uncompleted activity from the ordered list above (excluding Skyshards and Shalidor’s Library Books).

Zone Guide? Where is that?
The point is, is that ZoS is making it even harder for console users to find the stuff:FlopsyPrince wrote: »Reistr_the_Unbroken wrote: »ZoS must really hate console users:

On the PTS for now, but it will be on both PC and console as I understood the announcement so I'm not sure what point @Reistr_the_Unbroken is making.

If it doesnt affect you and the option is there for others why not?
The skyshards are linked to achievements and I feel achievements shouldn’t be account wide as it would bad for the game. I know there’s achievements linked to cp but you have to allocate them before you unlock the achievements and they’re generic. How would it work for skyshards? The skyshard achievements are specific and hunting them down is part of the fun.
Making achievements account wide or removing the achievements for skyshards would affect me hence why I said no thank you

Wouldn't affect you if when creating an alt you get the choice create a linked character or a new character
A linked character means they would share all the same achievements be at level 50 already and unlock a harder overland version playsble by all linked characters.
Caveat would be you must on the first character have all sky shards, all side quests all main quests and both guild quest lines completed Inc Caldwell's gold n silver
A new character is totally separate and functions as it does now

challenge we have in veteran content and pvp
exploration like skyshards are just not only time eating no skill thing but also time waster to many of us who have no time to repeat something like this, this is not challenge
