Dungeon Finder not working!!!

    well people last year were really angry for a very long time, were promised compensation with, were still trying to figure out how to do it, but its complicated. well okay, patience I thought, after a while they just stopped communicating about it.     I'm not even interested in the Random Dungeon Finder Event. All I would like to do is to be able to continue exploring Tamriel without being bumped off the (EU) server every 15 minute! But I doubt whether this issue is going to be fixed any time soon as it will require Bethesda/ZOS to actually invest real money in upgrading the servers to match the demand from players, instead, they are more interested in duping people into paying for ESO Plus to make even more money. And this doesn't even take into account the complete balls-up they've made with the Mac OS client!
    When the system comes back, I'm migrating all the crafting bag items back into and spread amongst the individual characters, then I can cancel the ESO Plus subbed wait to see if they'll begin to fix the issues which are more important than the Dungeon Finder Event fix!. I would recommend other ESO Plus subscribers to do the same, and let's see if the economic pressure will prompt Bethesda/ZOS to start giving a better service.

    Was paying for ESO+ for nearly a year. Thats done for. Same mistakes over and over again. Every event, there is something broken, every patch there is something broken. You just taking money from your customers and refuse to make some investments into server infrastructure. Thats so so greedy and I hope people will see it and you lost lots of subscribers cuz of it. Thats the only thing that could change something, otherwise you will f**** up with your customers again and again.

    Kinda loosing my faith on TES VI after all that controversy that is happening lately.

    Just out of curiosity, why is the Xbox server being taken down for maintenance if we aren't having a problem with activity finder?

    It doesn't seem to work that well for me neither.

    I do get into dungeons from time to time (after a very long wait) but then it either crashes or I'm forced to leave the queue as I can't enter.

    Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

    Gotta admit, the time for this is absurd. 8:00 pm here in Melbourne Australia, which means no time to do the event at all for me. But like always, we have to take it cause we're ignored down here.

    It seems to point to a central coding issue where resources (registers/counts/global variables) are not released when a dungeon is completed and/or the group is not disbanded. So if everyone leaves the group and logs out after completing a dungeon it may help. ;0)) Changing the way generic resources are processed would be an enormous task with the probability of numerous butterfly effects causing more serious problems elsewhere in the game. I will be very surprised (but equally pleased) if they fix this.

    Doesn't Zos have to pay to push patches through consoles? Most of the time we just have to wait until the next patch (unless the crown store is bugged) since this isn't crown store related why the rush( I know, "rush" is funny for a years long issue)and what's making Zos come out of pocket? Are they actually trying to help us or was there some major exploit I didn't hear about.

    I haven't had too many problems with the random group finder. Two times it has booted me and given me the 15 minute cooldown. Frequently it juggles the group but it usually forms one. Faster after it places you into the front of the que. The groupings mostly seem reasonably balanced. I get into the occasional "slogfest". It seems more prone to instability when it is busy.

    again a tactical masterpiece, congratulation. in any case, it is much cheaper to play dubious useless updates and or patchdinger, especially on weekends, just to keep a lot of players from continuing to play teso, hoping to get a grip on the performance issues rather than installing the correct hardware in the so called megaservers to be able to withstand players in order to guarantee a smooth gaming pleasure possibly.respect

    Guys, you should stop complaining, complaining has never worked with Zos, they just don't care! We had the same problem with dungon finder last year during the same event and nothing changed after a year. Problems are not getting solved; since september many italian players and other random players can't update the game because of the highly broken launcher and to "solve" it I must repair the launcher after EVERY patch. This problem and other problems will never be solved so stop complaining and try to not buy every single thing they throw at us, this is the only form of protest we have to make them change the way they work and start hearing us too.

    While that might be true, pinging her may give her ammo to take back to the decision makers. Let's face it, nice or not, she's not one of the major decision makers. Heck, for all I know, she doesn't even talk to the decision makers... she may talk to a manager who talks to the decision makers.

    I report to a director who reports to the VP who reports to the CEO... that's alot of whisper down the alley to get an issue looked at. She may be in the same boat. The more data you can push up the chain of command (especially in easy to read graphic format like charts and graphs) the more likelihood the person who makes the decisions actually sees it and/or understands it.

    Seems like EU are suffering more than most again, Work all week and look forward to playing ESO at the weekend and what happens...Maintenance. Might start looking for a more reliable game, there must be something out there.

    The odds are good that not only will things not be fixed, but they could possibly be worse, too. If they use the same sledgehammer method they use for balancing combat, rather than fine tuning, then it's very possible they could create new issues.... that might require some Sunday downtime as well.

    Let's pray for a miracle!

    I've honestly given up on this event altogether. I don't care enough about motifs and mounts to subject myself to this insanity.

    Just hoping now that the maintenance doesn't break the steam login so I can actually play this afternoon.

    Though what is strange, in majority of IT-related corporations, reaction on complains of thousands of subscribers/customers will be almost immediate (i.e. hardware expansion, patches etc), but in gaming industry we are like 3rd class citizens. And if balance changes is not so clear thing, overloaded servers are really obvious issue. They just need to buy new servers, optimize their connections, that's all - but most probably ZOS management thinks that this will not pay off soon, so we are stuck with this "maintenance".

    tg;dr (Too German; didn't read): If ZoS had just used proper server hardware in the first place, that would have been MUCH better than what has actually transpired.
