THE ARMY OF MERIDIA MAIN QUEST BUGGED CANNOT PROGRESS

I play for a lot of reasons, but progression is in that list. I think progression is a big part of MMO gameplay.
That said, My issue isn't even about progression. I did not like the AD areas as much as the others. I wanted to get lost and explore ebonheart lands. Morrowind was my favorite ES game. The guild wanted to go AD and we did. No problem, it has a good story and whatever, and I can go to morrowind whenever I want and just live there, right?
Well, no, not til they fix this. I missed a few skyshards along the way, I will go do that. I know there is always Cyrodiil, and I love it, but my heart was set on going back through ebonherat/daggerfall as veteran (hopefully brutally challenging) lands. What are we to do when we need a break from Cyro?
Broken quests suck, but they happen. I get that. You will get them fixed. But broken quests that gate off 65%+ of the game's content? This should *NOT* be happening, and it should be the PRIORITY FIX right now.
Well said, I can't believe they wont bring the servers down for a few hours to fix this, and It's sad because in a few days if this bug still exists were going to have hundreds if not thousands of more people standing in the hollow city doing this.
" Wtf zos come fix this quest, ( one day later ) omfg zos if you don't fix this quest I'm out ( two days later ) i'm done with this game, uninstalling it right now" etc..

Xeries✭The only quest I have in my quest journal is "The Army Of Meridia" As i have completed every other quest in the western and eastern parts of Coldharbour. Including those you commented on.
/relouadui /relogging and abandoning does not help "Talk to the Groundskeeper"
The Groundskeeper is spawned intown and but cannot be interacted with by anyone. Thus she will not open the gates to the north, and we cannot progress.

I have neither in my quest journal, though I am pretty sure I completed both of them.
Like the commentor above, reloading doesn't do anything been this way for ~30 hours for me.

I had the Army of Meridia in my journal, but I abandoned it in an effort to fix it (someone told me it could work). So now I don't, I got an indicator saying she wants to give me a quest but I can't talk to her. With out being able to see previous completed quests, I can neither confirm nor deny this, I can say that I've completed all quests in Ch in this area.

I have no other quests in my journal, I've done everything. Doesn't work. I abandoned Army of Meridia to see if it would fix the quest, now I can't pick it up again because the npc is broken.
PLEASE reset the servers or the coldhabor instance or something so we can use the NPC

It doesn't sound like it's quite that simple. We're continuing to investigate--if there's a temporary solution we can provide to get people past the blocked point, we certainly will.

I have neither quest in my journal -- They were completed long before I went to talk to her. I have since abandoned the Army of Meridia quest because it was suggested that this had previously fixed a similar issue which was present in beta.
For other people -- DON'T do this; you won't be able to pick up the quest again, since it goes back to the same NPC which is broken from all interaction, with or without the quest.
Also: Going on 50 hours with this, now. FIFTY. FIFTY hours in which I have been unable to do pretty much anything of value or interest.Edited by galleyanub17_ESO on April 6, 2014 3:21PM0 -
A further note about abandoning, it also makes all the various vendors and such despawn and closes most of the buildings. So really don't do it. I went from being stuck on a quest in a decent city to beign stuck on a quest in an empty city.

She has a Quest Marker, but cannot be interacted with in any way. Hovering the reticle over her doesn't produce the usual "The Groundskeeper -- Press E to Speak" type dialog. She does NOTHING. Just stands there. Staring at me. Taunting me. Molag Bal has nothing on this chick; she is the world killer.0 -

Does the Groundskeeper have any prompt on her? She has the Quest marker over her head. Moving your mouse over her, displayed "Talk to the groundskeeper" on top of your screen, but nothing over the NPC, EG Health bar, Name etc.

as of now i just log in few times a day to find her still bugged and log off been waiting 2 1/2 days for a fix on this. like i said before my buddy finished this part 1 hour before i got there and he was able to move on to veteran content and i am stuck in limbo. could be as easy as a server reset.....0

hblix✭it's kind of depressing that they are asking such basic questions after more than 48 hours of this bug. Literally every player on this quest has this bug, can't you create a test character and see for yourself?0

komle✭it's an empty character load, she doesn't greet us when we walk near her, and she doesn't let us interact with her.
also if you try to hover over her, you won't see her hp bar ect, so its like an "illusion" just standing there empty for us.
Please fix this asap, +40 hours trying to complete this quest T_T0 -

And what might not be understood is that the people coming here to complain are a *VERY* small minority. Sit in Cold Harbour and you'll see a new person complaining about this every 5 minutes. For the past 50 hours.0 -

Initially she had a quest marker on her, but she hasn't been intractable, now ( at least for me ) the quest marker is gone and she can't be interacted with at all.
I do how ever want to thank you for communicating with us, I know that I personally feel a lot better knowing you guys are on the case, thank you again

Wouldn't it be easier to just have a DEV take a look at one of our accounts/characters and figure out what is going on?
This has been broken for days now and has completely blocked progression on a weekend.1
