I see where you are coming from and agree that The Elder Scrolls Online should still feel like an Elder Scrolls game in the end. I don't want every mechanic from Souls/Borne be implemented here, just some adjustments to light and heavy attacks in terms of moveset and weight. In my opinion there should be more than 'right swing' and 'left swing'. Giving weapons an identity outside of skills is nothing I would consider bad or anti-TES. Dark Souls hits the nail when it comes to weapon weight - swinging a 1h sword looks and feels like swinging a 1h sword, swinging Greatsword looks and feels like swinging a Greatsword. "It just works" our lord and savior Godd Howard would say! Did you light attack with a Greatsword in this game? Not really fun to do and watch unfold - if you ask me. A lot of people also didn't look at The Elder Scrolls and said "Y'know I wish this franchise played more like an MMORPG with Skills, PvP and Trials" and here we are! Was it a bad decision? For some yes - we're still hated for "letting this game, which is not even TES stay alive" and "prevent the development of TES 6". We both probably love this game and disagree with those claims.
Global auction house.
As per the title and please no mention of flying mounts.
For example Guild Wars 1 had a neat feature where you could draw on the minimap to plan tactics with your group. This would work really well in difficult dungeons and Cyrodiil.
I would like to see a companion system added similar to SWTOR or Final Fantasy 11. Those always bring more depth to the characters and make solo play more interesting.
It would also enable the developers to make the landscape content more difficult because newer players could use companions to help them.
Skyrims mannekins to store and display my armour sets.
While I am at it how about some of the other features from Homestead:
Alchemy garden
Household Bard
Weapon Displays
Spouse and child
This person gets it. Take more form the Elder Scrolls series, make it stand out as an MMO with its own identity.
Not stuff with completely different aesthetics and purpose in gameplay.
None of the Elder Scroll games play like Dark Souls, why would you make the MMO version of Elder Scrolls play like a completely different franchise?
Make improvements and take lessons from Elder Scrolls.

Ehh, Elder Scrolls combat was always kinda subpar to be honest. Sometimes even horrible... Morrowind is one of my favorite games ever, but it's combat is just bad even for its time. Skyrim is slightly better in terms of combat, but it's basically a button masher with no strategy involved. It's not even realistic, especially sword and shield animations. It's just very bland and uninspired.
Yeah, combat is not the main focus of these games, but I still wish it would be more fun to play.

When in a group and everyone is looking at the map, make a way to mark a location so that everyone can see it at the same time. Describing things that don't exist on someone else's map and trying to coordinate would be so easy with a single pin drop or echo blip...
you mean like shift + left click?

This is why I think ESO is a step up in combat of Skyrim
When it comes to end game content strategy is definitely an element of gameplay.
And Button mashing is not a winning strategy.
You have to be aware of the build and the skills you have active, and you can't pause to eat 100 cheese wheels.
Way more fast paced and intense.
In comparison to the MMOs we have I think ESO has one of the best combat systems
