Banker and Merchant assistant cost too much - READ the OP before you comment

I disagree with the OP on this. The 10k Crowns I spent on the 2 of them is probably the best investment for 7 months of my ESO+ crowns. There's nothing wrong with something convenient like the Banker and the Merchant costing that many crowns, in my opinion. I see it more as a reward for subbing to ESO than anything.

they made a huge difference in my gameplay once I finally got them...

if you juggle a lot of characters (i'm at 10), they're pretty essential...

Yep, definitely worth the cost if you play this game long-term for a lot of hours and/or run multiple characters. They're a HUGE time-saver when you're questing or in dungeons and don't want to leave your party. I've also found them especially useful when doing dolemen runs as items add up quickly in your inventory and it's great to offload the ones you want to sell to the Merchant and ones you want to save to decon later (if leveling craft skills on a character) with Banker.

I bought the banker for ESO+ free crowns.

Huge QoL improvement.

Not really too expensive though.. when you compare to other things in the crown store.

They are well worth the money if only for convenience sake. Call them when you are out plus you can set them in your houses.

Yeah, this - I think as well that the banker is overpriced, but then again, I am going to buy him a second time on the NA server, because I got to experience the ease of using him all the time with a bunch of characters on EU server. He is basically a necessity once you have experienced how pleasant your game will be by just having him.

Bought my banker and merchant not long after they came out and crowns were on sale. Best thing I’ve ever paid for in eso. I do agree on the smuggler, 35% is ridiculous. 10% wouldn’t be so bad.

I didn't see a need yet to buy the merchant - i would, if she could repair my stuff, but so, I just go to the next best wandering merchant and let him/her repair my stuff and sell off all those things, which are otherwise just cluttering my inventory. If the merchant could repair stuff, I would buy her, but so, no deal.

Yeah, simply don't buy it. If people buy it at that price, ZoS is profiting a lot. I have to agree though, it is not nearly close to being worth 5000 crowns... you'd have to have a lot of disposable income to spend that much on such an offer or be incredibly stupid imo.

Or be an ESO+ member who has some spare crowns to spend on those. Not everyone likes cosmetic fluff - well, I do - but a lot are more reasonable and buy things, which better their game play, instead.

Yes I felt the same, those times have passed. Not the price of the game is the real revenue for the companies, but what we spend on after buy the game

Finally I choosed I play usually without eso+ but bought banker + merchant. If you play on pc there are some addon to help with faster inventory + bank management.

But there are some options.

- You play without ESO+ and you refuse assistants and play as u can.
- You play with ESO+ not really need banker + merchant.
- You can buy banker+merchant, one-time only and account bound, and if you would like to stay in the game for years eso+ every month vs banker one-time only then banker much cheaper solutions.
- You play with ESO+ for 4 month and you can buy a banker, and more 4 month and you can buy merchant
- You can create a guild, and create 9 trial account and you will have +500 inventory (guild bank)
- You can buy banker + merchant for in-game gold. Find a guild mate or a friend who buy for you and gift it to you and you sent him/her gold. That is legal.

the cost is still a p*** take. Sure you can use on all accounts but it's still overpriced. Zen want you to accept buying ESO Plus all the time. This selling games as a service BS is not something we should support.

Oh my god. Who woke up this thread?! So many emails this morning!

If you have banked crowns or disposable cash, the banker/merchant are exceptionally useful and will offer better ROI than anything else in the crown store. If you don't have the crowns to spend, you can still function in game without them.

People gotta agree to disagree on this hurr thread, or we're gonna keep saying the same thing over and over again.

Actually, this one I agree with. I think they are priced way too high, almost as high as some of the medium homes which is ridiculous. They should be the price of a mount, at least 2K less.

It's about a 333 crown purchase per character at 5k crowns if you have all 15 chars, I think it was worth it

After your first mount, you're paying for cosmetics, not additional functionality. Unlocking the banker/merchant adds unique services to your account.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for lowering crown prices across the board. I just don't agree that a cosmetic reskin has the same value as the functionality these two offer.

One thing I have noticed in this discussion is they want the Merchant to repair armour. Why would you pay to have you armour repaired? I have so many Grand Repair Kits ( like 500+ and counting ).
Just asking the question.

When you say 2K Crowns or less, do you mean what it cost cash wise. If its what it cost cash wise I only paid 2500 Crowns for my Banker ( bought Crowns when they were 50% off ).

I use the entrance in Anvil (Gold Coast). There are no guards between the wayshrine and the entrance.

If you're an EasyTravel fan, all Gold Coast wayshrines are guard-free, so it's risk-free as long as you can find a port.

Leave the merchant and banker as is.

Do not change price.

Do not change functionality.

These Crown Store items were well far more than the 5k crown cost for each.

Ease of use - I have plenty repair kits as well, but it is easier to just press E and get it done.

I've found that both Tythis and Nuzhimeh are invaluable after getting them both and running around with them for several months. Since I'm the leader of one of my guilds, I've stuck them in my house; it's wonderfully convenient for my guildmates to be able to do basically everything in one location as long as they don't need to access the guild bank.

Repair kits are fairly easy to get if you do writs and pretty much everything else merchants sell is useless, so Nuzhimeh doesn't *need* any further functionality, though it'd be nice.

They're also amazing if you're running a dungeon and someone's inventory gets a little too full because they aren't on ESO+ or have less bag space.

I would love to customize them though. Would probably not be all that hard to implement either.
