The game title costs less ...in terms of crowns cost.

Now as ESO+ member for some time and you don't spent your 1500 /M in crowns in crates or other BS buy those. They worth it

Save your crowns from plus. Merchant is very handy.

I’m still waiting on a premium banker. I want guild store access.

if you're happy paying a monthly subscription regardless of the crown income. Not everyone wants to do that.

If you can’t afford it or choose not to afford.....then don’t buy one?

You want one, but at a price you set in your mind. :)

It's not a single assistant, its server wide so its 15 of the same assistant if you have all 15 slots

i havent bought any crowns, except with eso+ but you dont see me complaining about it, is it really hard to ignore those "items"?
  • mike_skleinub17_ESO
I'm going to get the banker at some point. I have 1700 crowns now and I would still need $40 to get the rest. While $40 is no big deal really right now, its a hard justification to make. I spent a couple hundred probably on a mobile game over the past 6 months or so and stopped playing, that many is gone obviously but I still enjoyed playing it and what I bought

As they say, you can't take it with you, but there are limits to how much I'm willing to blow on a hobby. Until I finally talk myself in to it.

To me the banker is far more worthwhile than the merchant. With the double bank from the sub I can all the loot off to decon later. so inconvenient having to go back to town.

The worst part about it is every merchant in the game can repair your armor, oh except for the one you paid money for.

Every banker in the game you can sell items to your guild store with, and you can pay your guild dues, oh except for the one you paid money for....

Even though I get Crowns with my sub, I still won't buy them. I agree they're expensive, but it's a price for QoL, and for some, is reasonable enough for a purchase.

I'll save my Crowns and take a Wayshrine. They're free to use.

No they are not. They are a luxury item. Thier is no need for them at all in the game. Such items should cost a premium. I would see them cost even more.

    are you on console?

What does being on console have to do with anything.........?

Because they pay for everything. Including online access, expensive games and mods. And then they say "thank you".

Uhm... I am on PC. I pay for my online access, expensive games and such. And I am grateful that someone made this nice game.

    Your point is...?

yeah, but you don't pay for "PC Gold" on top of your internet acess just to play online, I bet you too take full advantage of ridiculous Steam Sales and I'm pretty sure you'd get a free Nexus mod over a ridiculously priced CC mod.

The point is that console gamers often seem happy to throw their money at stuff that we get for free, stuff that people shouldn't have to pay for.

PC hardware is more expensive but a lot of things we get are better and either cheaper or free. We're not as wasteful with our cash so to have a PC gamer defend such high prices of relatively cheap to make conveniences is shocking to me.

Well this is just a bunch of silly nonsense. Not as wasteful? Why don't source that incredible assertion. This post literally made me laugh.

Factor in that all prices are 50% off due to crown sales and they aren't so bad.

If you don't want to pay for them why make a thread to complain about it... you can get a merchant in game. no idea how but there is an achievement for it.

I bought the banker for guild use.... by that I mean they can access their personal bank at my craft area.

If anything I would like to see the guild bank added to the banker. that would make him an absolute catch for 5k crowns.

5k crowns is about £30.00 English pounds... that is not really a lot.

I bought my Ebonheart Chateau for £71.00 quid. I didn't kick off because it was optional.

bottom line is, if you reduce the crown price of the two services you pretty much bounce and void any reason to use the community hubs within the main city. that alone makes the premium price non negotiable...

yes we would all love the crown items to be dirt cheap. I agree with you 100% but from a business view, its bad for business.

if you're happy to waste your money on ESO Plus month after month after month. I buy ESO Plus when I need Crowns for DLC.

There is something to be said for continuity perks, however... I have been a member of ESO+ since its inception and that has enabled me to try ALL of the DLC, then permanently purchase the ones I enjoyed most (IMO, the Blade of Woe mechanic from the DB DLC is the most satisfying way to off NPC's...) with the Crowns I've earned through ESO+...

nah Swtor had that little droid that you could also use to repair. You could purchase just for that character or pay a bit more for the full account which is now 26? characters, more if you purchased character slots. That droid was no where near the price of the merchant who incidentally CAN'T repair.

These are the last thing in the store that cost too much. There are houses that cost three times that. There are cosmetics like mounts similar in price. The assistants are great. Especially during this event. It would be horrible managing all the pre-crafted consumables and box loot without the banker.

I still haven't bought the merchant as it has been a while since I would have found it useful, but since I have already bought all character slots and have enough crowns for it, there isn't really anything else for me to spend the crowns on. Eventually I'll get the merchant.

Yea I felt they were a little expensive but I have them both and the convenience they provide are worth the crowns.
I also have ESO+ for the bag and bank space and DLC access. WIth the amount of time I spend a month playing,
~$15 per month is nothing. In fact it is cheap entertainment. It cost that much to go see a movie and thats only for 2 hours.

Banker was worth every penny of the $40 CAD I spent on the crown pack to get him.

I'm a relatively new player with a full roster of low-level toons - each of them have a backpack the size of a scrib's brain. I want to be able to enjoy PvE content without having to leave the delve every five minutes, teleport home, find a bank, then use a wayshrine to return to the delve and become encumbered all over again. I waste hours of my real life as a shameless Elder Scrolls hoarder, all for the glory of my Crafting toon, who naps in Vivec City waiting for materials to roll in.

With the banker, I can delve, dump, and continue. No log-out-log-in game, waiting for the next ESO+ trial for a taste of that sweet sweet crafting bag. One $40 purchase, and I'm set.

That said, I have some suggestions for ZOS to make some improvements:

    1. Allow us to at least re-name the guy, if not change his appearance/race/sex. One of my toons is a classic Nord racist and doesn't cotton to no dark elf glaring over his shoulders with his buggy red eyes. Shor's bones! But if he must look and sound as he does, can I at least re-name him as to make him my dunmer toon's friendly uncle Dalmir?
    2. Many have said it before, but access to the guild bank would be much appreciated. I can see why they didn't include the Guild Store, because it gives players who bought the banker instant access to pretty much everything in the game, provided they joined the right trading guild. ESO goes out of its way to avoid the pay-to-win model and I appreciate it, but the Guild Banks can't be exploited any more than the in-game mail system can.
    3. Good lord, this is over twice as expensive as the Dark Brotherhood DLC. I know I said the banker was worth it, but when I had to make that decision in the Crown Store, I died a little inside.

Hope this helps. If you're a new player, buying the banker will save you a lot of hassle in the middle of a dungeon, so I say it's worth it.

I understand your point of view. I whole heartedly disagree that the banker is actually worth that price, but I see where you're coming from.

I bought the game a month before it went f2p. One month's free subscription on purchase, f2p when the sub ran out. I admit I patted myself on the back a little for that.

The game cost £50 back then.
The DLC's are £15-20 each (with the cost of ESO+ to get the crowns to buy the DLC - this is an estimation).
I have all the zone DLC and a couple of the dungeon DLC's.

I'd say I've already spend £100-150 on the game already. All that on a single game. And if I want to put a banker and a trader in my Guildhall for my Guildies to make use of when they're in trouble with the law or just save some time it's gonna cost me about £60 on top of what I've already spent? No chance!

Now admittedly there is about 3 or 4 games worth of single-player content all together, but I've already spent enough and frankly I think the DLC costs too much. All the zone DLC is going to sell really well because all players that don't yet have zone DLC's will have people in game telling them they should buy it so eventually pretty much all players who still play the game will buy all the story DLC.

My point is that Zenimax is greedy. I have already suggested a cheaper, Guildhall-only version of assistants in this thread: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/426175/so-still-no-guildhall-functionality ...and the guildhall is all I actually want them for.
