Would You Like to See NMA Updated To Give Imperfected Maelstrom Weapons

Pretty straight forward, would you like to see nma offer a variant of its current weapons available from the normal version of the trial. There are alot of classes that straight up require these weapons from vma. Giving a watered down version would help out players that arnt experienced with vma have more complete build like nas does with the asylum weapons or ncr does with its version of gear.

After that's taken care of, I'd be fine with slightly lesser versions for normal.4 -

You dont have to earn the imperfected versions of asylum or cloudrest, if you want to maximize your build you do by getting the perfect form but why should vma different when it is arguably more required for a wider variety of builds?2 -

well, i may be a "noob", or one of them "git gud" players, but in no way i feel embarrassed because i am unable to complete the vMA. frankly, i find it (vMA) too time consuming and above all way too frustrating to be bothered trying. there is too much randomness (poison flowers spawning right at my feet all the time, especially when under i'm under the shield and that Argonian death-metal singer is having a laugh), too many one-shot mechanics, stuff like that takes all my pleasure from the game away. when you add the "i pressed the light attack and then i meant to either shield or heal yet the game decided to do a heavy attack for me and thus i died" bug (or whatever that is)... um, thank you but no, thank you. everything else in the game can be completed without the vMA weapons, i do not mean to push for any leaderboards, so the gear that i have is sufficient for me..
and yes, i know about all those guides on YT (managed to get to the last vMA stage thanks to one of them, can't complete it, too noob-is, i guess), and yes, there are people who run it naked and stuff, but kudos to them, i am still not embarrassed. have fun, people

That might be the most elegant solution. I'm a huge fan of the newest form of perfected gear in Cloudrest. You get the base items, even from normal and you get a slight boost from perfected. The items are all functionally the same (unlike Asylum) and your bonus for the hardest content is a minor bonus and bragging rights.
My only fear would be that ZOS wouldn't make the change retroactive, making me go grind out vet again for the perfect versions when I put in hundreds of runs and have grown bored of the content already. Not a deal breaker at all, just a minor concern.

Back in the days before v16, DSA dropped v13 versions of the master weapons. There also wasn't as huge a disparity between v13 and v14 as there is now between cp150 and cp160. It was a system very similar to the standard/perfected type of weapons we have now.1 -

No. Back when DSA was v14, nDSA dropped v13 Master Weapons and vDSA dropped v14 ones. I still have my very first Master weapon--a v13 resto from normal--sitting in my box of souvenirs.
I like the current system introduced in AS and CR of making gear accessible to all (which is also consistent with how gearing has worked pretty much everywhere else since One Tamriel) but making BiS Perfected variants that are locked behind vet HM and leaderboards. vMA doesn't have a HM in a traditional sense--the closest analogue is if the player refuses to touch sigils.
So the current weapons will be considered imperfect, make them drop in normal so that they are accessible to everyone. And then bring back the old stat bonuses in the form of perfected weapons that drop only from vet "HM" (sigil-free, no saves, and maybe even with an imposed time limit) and from leaderboards.
The general player base will get access to this gear (which is a good thing), the endgame players will get their stat bonuses back, and it'll give them a reason to go back to vMA and re-run it for the new perfected weapons (and thanks to transmutation, the grind would be nothing like what it was back when weapon drops weren't even guaranteed). And if you don't want to rerun it, well, your existing weapons don't change, so you don't lose anything. ✭✭YesYes, on the condition that they actually make it harder. nMA and vMA are so different in levels of difficulty that they might as well just give you a map of the arena and your skill points for reading it. nMA should at least be a stepping stone on the path to a vMA clear.

Why? nAS and nCR are easy and do virtually nothing to prepare players for vAS HM and vCR HM.Nma is hilariously easy and doesn't really warrant a special reward, but if it means less terrible dps when I do pug dungeons, then I'm all for it.
nCR is hilariously easy, yet people can get Siroria and Relequen from there. nCoA1 is hilariously easy, yet people can get Burning Spellweave from there.

✭✭✭OtherI find a lot of the vDSA weapons better and you are allowed four people to do that~ Maybe allow more people to do the vMA at the same time, at least two to increase drop rate. Hopefully, killing two birds with one stone, so we don't need to wait on a token anymore that never came~
But normal weapons, yeah sure, sounds okie~ If keeps newer players interested in all the content then I am all for it~ 2 -
