I would rather know a price buy want i want and go on my merry way.
The crates are fine for free and rewards .

I like to spend my money on items I see that I want. Even just being a noob its easy to see you mostly only get unwanted stuff from crates. If its free I'll take it, thanks, but I'll not be paying for something I most likely won't get.
I don't respect a business ploy that preys on people who have gambling addictions ..and quite possibly even those who don't! lol

I don't want them gone...I want their trace of existence to be wiped from the mortal realm so that our future generations shall never witness the downfall of their ancestors...CROWN CRATES MUST BURN!

Surely, the massive profits of crown crates will be put to use to improve the game sometime soon now!

    wont it

Every time someone posts on here asking if the game is worth returning to, everyone points out how much the game has improved already  !

I'm not sure those improvements justify the amounts of money we've spent though..

    Don't spend any more then.

Why do people insist on ignoring the most obvious solutions to their concerns? "The game is literally unplayable" - then don't play it. "Crates are a waste of money" - then don't buy any. "This game has the worst combat system ever" - then play the game with the best combat system ever. "This game is too easy" - then play a more challenging one.

But make your own decision, and let everyone else make theirs!

Because that's ignoring the issue, not fixing the issue.

Some people still like ESO, believe it or not

Oh indeed, far more than the critics would suspect.

So this means everything is perfect yes? Your answer is to ignore every issue with the game instead of trying to fix it? Is it impossible to raise complaints on a forum and still get enjoyment out of the game in spite of the things you complain about?

You're putting words into my mouth.

You're the one who said it, not me lol

Yes I said those things, and stand by them. But nowhere did I say that everything is perfect. Nowhere did I say that problems should be ignored and not fixed.

Nothing in that prevents people from lobbying for improvements, but equally nothing in that indicates that I think the game is perfect or that I think any problems should be ignored. That's where you put words into my mouth.

I never said i had not stopped, i was just explain the money to fixing ratio is massively skewed, look at how many customers have issues with ESO and look how much revenue they make..

The complaint is not with me personally..

That kind of attitude does basically mean that people should never want something improved, because theyd just be whining about it

Yes because in my mind this system just promotes greed and when it comes to greed us customers always lose!!

I want to go back in time when we had game Devs that truly cared about its player-base!!

Yes, I want the Crown Crates gone. Why?

    1) I believe that most of the money that Crown Crates makes (above a certain level based on minimum expected sales) is not tied to the development of future story/zone content.

    2) I believe that the small portion of the money that is tied up in development costs could be covered by direct sales if such an option was available.

    3) They add nothing thematically or narratively to ESO in, and of, themselves. They are a mechanism that has been clumsily inserted and their only justification is their ability to generate cash outside the game.

    4) They do not reward ZOS for the production of high-quality content. Exactly the opposite. They reward ZOS for the most basic reskinning of existing models.

Voted no despite ever buying any. If they stopped selling them the free crates would also go and frankly the free ones with the same chance of a win of something not terrible is the only way I get stuff I do sub to eso plus but with the limited time sales never seem to have the crowns at the right time. Buying crates is daft.
Everything will be alright in the end, if its not alright its not the end.
