Do you want crown crates gone?

Do you want the crown store to go back to where they used to showcase a larger amount of items and sell everything for a set amount of crowns? Would you be willing to pay 5000 crowns for an radiant apex mount instead of gambling your money and crowns to more than likely not getting the mount you want? I know I have personally spent over 60,000 crowns to get the cold fire atro wolf mount. Didn’t do much as get a single apex mount much less a radiant one. Thus I did not buy the new crown crates this time around. Should everything in crown crates go back to being for sale with crowns only? Let me know your thoughts. Only way to make a change is to get enough people to voice their opinions

But you could buy 5500 crown bundle and not get said elk and still pay the same amount in the end just to get enough gems to unlock the mount

Everything from the crates should be sold for crowns, and crates should just be a statistically cheaper way of getting all the items, if you want all of them and not a specific one.

I just wish crown crates got rid of the consumables and instead had more fun costumes and even house items. Things i would actually want and not just discard upon sight.

Seriously. It used to be in the first seasons, you would get like 3 costumes per crate or fun cosmetic items. Now its the freaking soul gems and useless potions. Like what am i even supposed to do with those? Its a ripoff. I have normal gems from game, like 4k of them in my bank.

WHY would i ever want a crown soul gem? Will it resurrect the entire raid upon a wipe? No? ok then, get that thing out of my sight : <

I don't care for rare crate drops and if ZOS can make money this way, it affects me only in a good way like they can afford to put discounts on stuff I care about.

Because I get free crates every now and then (so far 10) = free fun stuff i would otherwise not have had. Stuff I would not have spend real money for as I find the crown store prices rather high/rarely worth it. So direct sales would not have been better for me.

I do not believe the items would have been made if not to generate revenue. So it would not be without crates we would have had them available to be earned in game/gotten for gold.

That said I am not easily persuaded to gamble (putting it lightly), so I do not have buyers remorse nor spend more money then I should with these kind of things. So they are not predatory for me personally.

I wondered about that as well...and the setting to choose which to use. There's no difference that I am aware of unless I've missed something.

all I can say is I spent 60,000 crowns on the flame atro mounts trying to get a particular radiant mount and didn’t even get an apex mount. I had to settle on the normal flame wolf with gems. I think a compromise is put a higher price for crowns on the direct buying and keep the crown crates if you want to gamble and maybe get something you want and spend your gems if you didn’t

If I bought the radiant mount with crowns I’d be more inclined to possibly buy crates to see what my luck brings me but at least I got the one thing I wanted first and can then spend the rest of my crowns on junk

Not a good idea. As much as I dislike them, they are a source of income to keep the game going. If the game doesn't make enough, I'd imagine they would shut it down and focus on more profitable ventures.

I have no interest in crown crates, but if other people like them then I don't have a problem with that. I have no interest in PvP either, but I don't lobby to get rid of it. Each to his own.

Yep. I'd prefer a less cynical approach to the company making money. AKA just put things up for sale in the store, rather than hiding them behind a gambling mechanic.

Imagine it applied to other areas of life. See a nice new pair of jeans in a high-street store? Only to then find out the only way to get them is to spend your hard-earned cash on a bunch of lucky-dip grab bags, where you might get the jeans, or you might instead get a rubbish pair of socks and a lollipop.

'Tis all moot anyway - the crates aren't going anywhere. They are $$$$, which is all that matters in this world, after all.

Personally, I'd spend more money if I could just buy many of the mounts in the crates flat out - for example I'd probably buy at least two of the frostcaller ones if they were like 4k and probably one of the super apex ones even if it were a couple K more. But obviously enough people spend more money the gambling way, so I don't think it matters.

Edit: I would like to be able to cash anything into gems, even if it was something I didn't have. Really tired of getting old costumes, mounts and pets that I didn't want when they were in the crown store the first time or weird mounts I just don't like - like personally getting camels is meh for me.

Yes, crown crates have to go. It's the worst model of microtransaction added in game. (All these lies from them make me laugh, do you remember when they said fews years ago, "we do not plan to add rng based loot boxes, do not harm policy, everything will be buyable with gem, ect..")
We can dream much as we want about the removal of crown crates, but Zos will never do it, because they are earning a lot of money with it. So the only thing left we can do is avoid to buying this crap.

I have nothing against crown crates but the addition of radiant apex mounts puts of buying them.

I got the attro senche from first crate season because i know i could buy it if not lucky with the cards.
Would love getting the new cat but its so unlikely to get it that its not worth to even try..
