IS there any chance we could get a Way shrine Furnishing?

I know right now we can use port to teamate or just pay to port out of your home..but if you just pop into your house for a quick trip to storage or to craft or for whatever reason the wayshrine cost goes all the way up and you need to wait for the price to drop...
Sure you can exit your house and run to a wayshrine, but wouldn't it be nice to avoid that extra load screen and just go where you want? Besides there are many cool wayshrine models in this game, each race has there own and there are the simple dungeon ones too...lots of options and a funtional purpose. I can see these being either something you use writ vouchers for or even a straight from crown store option too...
Ummm stuff… about stuff…or something.

I'd prefer an account upgrade that makes teleporting from your house completely free. I am really picky with aesthetics and if they only offer one type of racial wayshrine I'm not gonna bother buying one

Well.... if you have all the free inn rooms.... you can for instance port around all of them until you figure out which one's closest to the wayshrine (I *think* it's the one in Ebonheart - not positive though so don't quote me!) So you'd just need to port from whatever your main house is to that inn room, then run to the wayshrine....

I think that would be lovely, but that might be too much of a convenience for them to want to do as it cuts out a gold sink they put in and I know that even the most penny-pinching of players will occasionally recall to a wayshrine for gold if they are not feeling like trekking to the nearest wayshrine to do it free. If they did this all we'd have to ever do is pop home to get to a wayshrine for free...but since we can already do that by teleporting to a friend or a guildie, maybe they will consider it. It's not like we don't already have other ways to skip paying wayshrine fees. Also wayshrines can be very pretty...like a glowing gazebo. I would certainly make one the center of a garden or two!

I can get behind this too, but i wish there was a way to share it with any guests you might have as well.
As far as the aesthetics i can agree i would want input and a choice, it would be way out of place if the only option was say the coldharbor deadric skull options. The basic dungeon is a nice blue brazier but that may not fit every theme either...

I can see making a simple one writ purchasable and putting all the racials in the crown store so you can at least pick

You know, the load screen thing is one of the least obtrusive and shortest I can remember. I use them to get coffee, water, wine, or whatever. Sometimes I'm loaded in before I get back with cup or glass.

    WoW and RIFT were worse.

It varies by the individual, though. I have really short and painless load screens as a general rule, they only get long-ish on holidays or when the servers are otherwise really packed and even then my load time is nothing compared to some others. I have a friend whose load screens are at least three times as long as mine--I notice because I am continually waiting for her to catch up to me when we duo. We have comparable computer systems, she just has a worse ISP than I do and since they are allowed to have local monopolies in our country there is nothing she can do about that. So you can never know how long someone else's load screen is going to be.

Personally, I like the idea of a wayshrine for your home that, when used, simply takes you to the nearest regular wayshrine.

Like, say, if you have Mistveil Manor and you use the home 'shrine, it takes you to the normal 'shrine in Riften and from there you can port to wherever you need to go.

Wayshrines in houses can't come soon enough :'( Currently I have to decide if it's worth porting to home and going through additional loading screen and wasting time to run to a wayshrine after I'm done, or better to port to some overland place which offers same services but which is conveniently located near a wayshrine.

I would be happy with any look of the wayshrine at my houses, but we have many different options so it would be shame not to offer all the variety :)

How about a sub perk that allows use to place wayshirines in the 'right' places, rather than 5 mins run from anywhere useful, as well as inside houses

I think this is a great idea, although if it were implemented, I suspect it would be limited to only certain sizes of houses. Hopefully not only the large (expensive) ones.

As it is now, though, if you have more than one house, you effectively gain a free private teleport network. So... buying more houses is what expands this network, and some of the houses are quite close to public wayshrines. There are apartments in larger cities all over the place. The system in place already encourages buying more housing units... so adding private wayshrines might cannibalize that to some degree.

I feel like a wayshrine furnishing item would make a great collectible item from a DLC. The DLC's/chapters usually give a furnishing collectible and this would be useful.

Perhaps have it be one way like Eyevea.

Actually, I don’t think so. If I have a wayshrine at my home, I want it to act as any other wayshrine in the open world, not where I have to take an extra step to get from point a to point b.

As much as I'd love this and writ boards, I feel like giving too much convenience would render the regular towns rather dead.

I know damn well that given the chance, id do all my daily chores in the comfort of my own Orbservatory Prior.

It would be nice, and probably very popular. That said, I wish they would lose the stupid wayshrines and implement a proper Elder Scrolls style poi-based fast travel system. The gold costs of the current system are negligible for anyone who plays regularly and/or joins a guild. It reeks of MMO cheese, from a design perspective.

Considering how much crowns or gold ZOS would decide on for this option... it would be cheaper just to pay the port to wayshrine price than to add the wayshrine for free porting to your residence.

Off price increase cooldown timer is 146 gold to port anywhere... it's not like it's exhorbitant or anything.

    It would be nice though.

I use Mournoth keep to port out of my primary residence. I guess two loading screens is as good as it gets. From home to old dump (Mournoth), our the gates to Wayshrine. I’d love an in home wayshrine

I would like this or the first post suggestion.
I would like the first post suggestion more because I really would like to place a cool looking blue flame wayshrine in my home, but I would also like it as a collectible furnishing(like the mounts and Precursor target dummy) that can have a copy in every home from one unlock/purchase. That would be ideal.

That actually may be a good thing considering how the performance of the game in populated areas keeps decreasing and aging computers don't help while some players do play on less powerful machines.
There would still be reason to go to populated areas, especially considering the writ turn-in locations are only in those cities.

So all it saves you is the riding time from your home to that closest wayshrine and not the often much longer load screen time exiting the house?
That doesn't solve any problem or make it more convenient.

It would be nice if they just used the phasing technology, that changes which instance of an area each player sees, to make houses actually in the zone they are located in so each player still gets their own customizable space but there is no loading screen going in or out.
But that would be much harder.
