A tab lock-on target system in this game definitely wouldn't be fair to gamepad players, so no wonder they won't merge console and pc playerbases. That also explains a few things about differences in my dps and the dps the streamers and others get.

"I am pretty sure ESO requires aiming" - yes, it does, but only for start casting. In the most cases, after your cast begins (i.e. Heavy Attack) you can even turn in other direction - you still would end casting successfully and projectile still would hit the initial target

It works a little differently than that, but you misunderstood my meaning.
Have you not played other MMOs? Have you only played "action MMOs"?
I'm talking about true tab-lock-on that just cycles through enemies and you always target the single enemy you locked onto no matter what is around them. It's like tying a string to the enemy so that you can't miss.
Sometimes I miss that tab targeting gameplay, but other times I am glad it isn't there.

Yes ESO has that. On PC anyway. It gives that npc/player/monster a white outline and your attacks hit that only - excepting aoe/splash damage obviously.

No, it doesn't lock that way. You still have to put your crosshairs on the enemy. You can't just fire the complete opposite direction and have it hit that enemy while they are off screen even.
LoS is most broken in pvp, but it's bad in some places in pve too.
Everyone who pvp's knows you can run into a tower at a resource, and all the guards will kill you through the walls if you just stand there and do nothing. You can be shot through trees, rocks, walls, floors and even AFTER you go through a door.
Ya, LoS is broken in this game. ....not as broken as the pvp servers, but still pretty broken.

That is ALSO TRUE! But I can also tab and hit what I tabbed to.
No - you cannot be faced away - and why would you!!? Why are we even talking about shooting something facing away from it in this thread? Pool Muddier!!

Because that is what is "tab targeting" in every other game that actually has that. You tab to select a target and then you can turn around and fire backwards without being able to see and still hit the target.
You should not have posted "tab target" without knowing what it really means in MMO games.
I swear that targeting issue that was around in the PTS is even worse on live...Literally sometimes you cannot touch a person or heal them. Resto staff heavy and lightning heavies still broken. Channel damage also mysteriously gets truncated sometimes. It's to the point where I honestly wouldn't slot any channel in PvP and instead use a ranged weapon.

And, for sure, there is no Tab targeting like in the classic MMOs. But player can highlight target with Tab, and this would help him to find it faster in the pack of enemies and (I believe) this highlighted target would have priority on being hit if there is several enemies nearby.
