Maintenance for the week of April 6:

ZOS, what do your customers need to do to get you to FIX something?

It's very simple what you can do and everyone already knows the answer:

    - Stop logging in
    - Stop spending money on crowns
    - Cancel your ESO+ subscription

When the money stops flowing in and their board sees a dip in profits, the dev team will be yelled at to fix the issues customers are complaining about so the company execs can go back to lining their pockets. ZoS is a business - the best way to pressure a business into action is to endanger their profits. As long as continue ignoring what I've posted above, you are essentially telling ZoS that ESO is a satisfactory product with negligible issues.

Already doing that. Playing Tera atm. Will be back when ZOS gets their act together.

    You mean Zo$?

Yes, they have been working on it.

I want things fixed and perfect just like everyone else. This game has evolved so much over the years. They’ve delivered on many things already.

So, without shouting, without hyperbole, without insults to anyone, what is the real solution here?
The real solution is better quality control. Cyrodiil has always had quirks, but in the past 10 months ZOS has released two updates that each caused console players to have to force-close their application on a regular basis because of Infinite Load Screens (November 2017) and Permanent Freezes (June 2018)

If I were a betting man, I would say these are related. The November issue was due to, if I recall, underlying asset loading issues (From Bethesda's Twitter account November 16th 2017). So they rolled the changes back - but that fix took them weeks to deploy.

They probably took another shot at it with Update 18 and this time, it feels like if assets don't load, the client freezes. Permanently. Only way out, again, is to force-close and relaunch the whole game.

The solution, respectfully, is thorough testing. That would have prevented the November issue, and may well have prevented this one too.

I don't agree to this. Many of us have invested years into this game, and losing the craft bag is a blow which cannot be easily rectified. I have thousands of items I cannot manage without the craft bag, and the bank (which also gets hit with a 50% loss) is impossible to deal with if we cancel ESO+.

ZoS new precisely how their craft bag could be monetized and deliberately kept the game's management system horrendously low to push toward more subscribers. It's 100% accurate to say the only benefit to ESO+ is the craft bag.

Every DLC released offers even more junk players have to store.

I truly feel sorry for new players to this game who must manage what to get rid of even if it can't be used at this second.

This isn't as simple as saying "Stop paying!", nor should we have to resort to this threat to "force" changes to the game we'd like.

No game is perfect, and while ESO does have its problems, it's not like the developers aren't actually trying to work on them.

I'd go so far as to say I'm firmly believing ESO 2.0 is in the works, since the original game literally locked the developers into a corner they cannot work with anymore.

However, they still need to manage the existing game. The patch before this, which released the hell of FPS drops, freezes, and for some, game crashes, shows they are improving the game.

It just feels like an eternity has gone by for these fixes.

I won't cancel my sub for these hiccups.

I will, however, if this ridiculous crap to stop treating me like a whale doesn't end.

I think we are past white knighting time

    Its been years of complain

Zo$ has made outstanding crowns cost increases (expensive pets, outfit costs, housing prices)
    Less discount on crown sales
Increase of foreign currency crown cost (up to 100%]
    Is looking for monetizer position

    At the same time:

Lag is worst with every update, performance is the same as lag
Every major update a few of my guildmates need to reinstall the game due to the bad installation system
Many game breaking bugs are reported on PTS yet are not taken into account when updates goes live (anyone remembers the storage chest ?)
    Proc sets reign in cyrodill
Cant have more than 30-40 people at one place in cyrodill or the lag is surreal
    Bg Matchmaking is a mess
    Game freezes quite often
Steam players cant login and have lots of disconnections
Invisible players bug is still here
    Bots are still here
People going in opponents keep through exploits are still here

But they are “looking into it” ... for years

Not being able to deposit additional junk for awhile seems pretty minor in a game that’s barely playable anyways.

    Clearly you aren't a hoarder.

I was already getting frustrated with inventory management at launch when I was going alt to alt and bouncing emails to find places to stick stuff. It was frustrating, even with the inventory insight addon because re-logging sucks. But if I wasn't a hoarder, I would agree that crafting bags really aren't necessary. At launch, I just had alts craft consumables and kept consumable mats on the alts. When I wanted to craft gear, i transferred mats to my main, who was also my motif learner.

But there has been an explosion in consumable mats since launch and some of my stacks are in the thousands.

    It's not funny.
    It's really bad actually.
We do really need updates, even if you're having 0 issues.
Because that's the problem here, players having 0 problems (or so they say) and players defining the game "unplayable".
Which means that this game has issues, major issues.
I don't think all those people decided to team up and bash zos just because they felt like it.
And it's no coincidence all these topics came out right after summerset.
You can defend them as much as you want, but it's obvious that zos is having really hard time with eso, and at least for now, they have no idea how to solve those problems (because if they had, nothing would be easier than stick a post on top of the forum saying " working on fixes, these will go live on x date"
These (new) problems are a month old now, and nothing has been fixed.

I agree and believe that they are desperately working on it and if they had a fix the game would be fixed. But I too could be "working" on it. I could be also "working" on building a space ship. Unfortunately, when someone doesn't have the knowledge or ability to fix(or build) something, saying that "they're working on it" really isn't much of a consolation. Zos has allowed so many broken things to exist indefinitely I think it's very understandable for people to think that Zos lack the capability to fix things even tho they are desperately trying.

I'm not switching a 1000+ cp account with All dungeon achievements done, many trial achievements and millions upon millions in gold and crafting materials. I'd sooner quit the game than re-grind all that. The game isn't THAT good. Maybe if I had some sort of guarantee that I would be free from issues on PS but I really can't get that.

Now if ZoS want's to do the right thing and offer to transfer my account then we can have the discussion. But like I said there are Xbox players that swear they aren't having issues either with some PS players that are. I think its just a total crap-shoot when you play on console.

I've not even received this month's eso plus crowns ffs :s
(yes I know I posted this in another thread already)

try filing a support ticket. This is one issue a support ticket will actually solve most of the time. Crowns have a habit of being late for Xbox ESO subs. Just one of the many issues I've created a thread about months ago that was completely ignored by the powers that be.

Yeah I posted a support ticket earlier but auto reply said the office was closed for the day lol

    Rip lol

    Easy there, killer.

They’re working on it. This is more complex than most of you armchair MMO/IT specialists realize.

They've been "working on it" for years, that's what you white knights don't seem to get

Yes, they have been working on it.

Did you ever stop to think that with three unique platforms and limited staff...these issues may take some time?

I want things fixed and perfect just like everyone else. This game has evolved so much over the years. They’ve delivered on many things already.

Let’s give them some credit and let them work their magic.

Communication would be nice! How about they tell us they don’t know what the problem is instead of telling us last week they would be fixing it?

Probably because we really don't need an update every 3 seconds and people are just impatient. It's funny, I have 0 lag, 0 difficulties on Xbox One X right now. Everyone screams and yells as ZOS and while they certainly are not the best, they know a lot more than the "armchair IT people" do.

Person is lucky enough to not have any of the game-crippling issues that others who have Xbox One X and ESO on a SSD have and instead of counting their blessings they feel the need to come in here and insult us for wanting a product that we PAID REAL MONEY FOR and a game that many of us SUBSCRIBE TO A PREMIUM SUB TIER for, to function without crashing us to the Xbox dashboard. Classic ESO message boards right here. The entitlement of not having crashes or freezes is real.

I hate to say it, but switching from Xbox one to PS4 was a smart move for me.

After three, yes three Xbox Ones. I got sick of it.

That may be. I think the issues are amplified more if you have sub par internet as well. I run with a few people on PS4 that have these issues, more so than others.

One runs on a Satellite ISP and the other on a mobile hotspot.

I have a fast, hard wired cable connection. No huge issues at all.
