What makes you leave a guild?

Everytime I join a guild I feel good, but soon realize it's just a burden having to socialize while enjoying the game. People also tire me out really fast so I end up leaving just to avoid talking to people. Thankfully, most of this game can be done solo. Really only missing out on trials, so meh.

I've left guilds for a lot of reasons. Everything from the GM being MIA for over 2 months to being harassed. But most of the time. it's just that guild isn't doing anything for me and I see no point in sticking around.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

    1. Fees - I shouldn't be extorted for the privilege of being on a roster of folks who normally play solo anyway.

    2. Low Activity - No group events or low numbers of active folks on the roster means the guild is a waste of my 5 slots.

    3. Elitism - Refusing to accept fellow guild members in activities for superficial reasons such as class choice.

I kind of prefer inactive guilds,

    Things that make me leave:
Gossiping about other guilds in open guild chat
Mandatory fees-I will gladly donate every week without rules
    Guild chat
Requiring any participation from me at all lol

Aka, I am in mostly dead guilds, and like it that way.

Most guilds I've left was because of inactivity. I don't like leaving a guild but when there is nothing in guild chat for more than a couple of weeks then it is time.

I did leave one PvP guild because they decided to rank every member and limit their group size to 12 players. If a player higher ranked than someone in the group came along they would kick the lower ranked player and tell them to just follow along if they wanted to. I didn't like the idea of having to follow along like a beggar hoping someone dropped group so I could join and I really disliked the idea that someone who joined before I did might be kicked simply because I showed up. It wasn't fun running with the main group knowing others were waiting to get in. Add to that once in the 12 man group it seemed more time was spent discussing group dynamics than actually doing any PvP and it really wasn't fun any longer. Sure we could when we eventually got around to playing roll through groups much larger than ours but it wasn't fun so I left.

I've kept a slot open in case I find a PvP guild I want to join but for now I am having fun without a PvP guild. I have run with a couple of guilds joining them in discord and for now that works well for me.

    Recently left all my guilds.

First one: PvE/PvP Guild. Guild Leader was disrespectful.

Second one: Roleplaying guild, left because of drama with some other guy, and the guild leader treating me like an idiot.

I've only left 2 guilds since I started, both for guild fees. Put simply, ask me if I can help, and if I can, I'm glad to help. Tell me I MUST, and GFY. Really, haven't these people ever lived with a cat?

    I have left three guilds

1st the mandatory 5k a week, I was still learning was making about 2k a week myself with a few hours play a week and I couldn't sell anything cos I couldn't make the 5k buy in to sell ... It was counter intuitive to my needs

2nd was great guild but sadly it fragmented from the inside and just fell apart I returned to find the guild had disbanded , majority of us were in other guilds together so wasn't a major loss, but something special is EU ps4 shor died that day

3rd ... One of the best guilds I have ever been in, Danny the GM was great he helped new players through lots of content taught them how to set gear and skill points and did trials training events ... My issue was Danny was 14 and the rest of the guild were similarly aged, I was 41 at the time ... It was hard to socialise with such a young crowd so I left , but if your mid teens I would highly recommend Nightmare guild on ps4 if Danny is still running it

    1. Drama:
Extended Drama from members will have me muting them and if nothing is done about it over time I'll just move on.

    2. Abusive Guild Leaders:
Guild Leaders that openly berate and judge others. Typically these are guys that have unbridled egos and when the group fails / wipes they start blaming everyone but themselves. (This seems to be my experience with roughly 80-90% of the PvP guilds I've every been in.)

    3. Micro-managers:
When guild leadership starts mandating certain builds and play styles I know it's time for me to move on.

    4. Inactivity
If the Teamspeak / Discord activity is not consistent and inactive or guild activity in general is just not happening deleting the guild is only a matter of time.

The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

    Reasons I left a guild:
    1. Weekly fee and/or required number of sales (with little flexibility)
    2. People in the guild stopped logging online
    3. When asking for help/questions guild, no one responds (ever) or responses were "l2p" or 'git gud'
    4. There were 'cliques' within the guild

Mostly the first two reasons though.

in a trade guild your gonna have to get use to the weekly fee part cause no fee no trader

First guild it was the weekly selling or donations to the guild you had to do. Didn't leave but was kicked for not logging on, which was fine. IRL needed to be dealt with.

Second guild I tried...it was the weekly lottery. Got in-game mail and a guild message saying 'if any purple motif drops for you that you don't need, please donate to the guild for the lottery.' when the anniversary event was going. However during the lottery, the same people won time each week. Sorry but 125 active guildies and the same 5 get prizes each week? Finding out they were friends of the guild master irl cemented the /gquit.

One social guild I am an officer for often had the same few people win the raffles. Thing is where most members were buying one or two tickets these people were buying 100 or more. Most of the time when they won they kicked the winnings back into the guild anyway and they became door prizes for attending the meeting. You can't always assume something shady is going on. That isn't to say you were wrong, just another perspective.

Inactivity. 500 people trade guilds means nothing if you guys don't actually sell or buy things.

Guild masters not being able to enforce order.
Seriously one guy was picking up fights with everyone since a whole hour because he wanted to sell something for twice it's price which the mm showed and was annoyed how it didn't worked but yet keep justifying it against everyone in chat and it happened it a freaking rawl'kha trade guild. When i suggested that it's pointless and they just end the discussion, an actual officier basicly told me to shut up ( i was quiet during the whole conversation ) and told me to simpy block said person. Problem is...said guy was picking up fights with every guild member.
Left that guild on the next day because it was not the first time that the officers and guild master didn't cared about anything except securing the guild trader every week.
Even craglorn guilds are more pleasant than that mess.
