What makes you leave a guild?

Mandatory sales figure/fees and the guldmaster then repeatedly failing to secure a trader (or one with enough traffic to meet said targets)

For me in this game it boils down to trading, if a guild is constantly losing the trader or just doesn't have any sale activity, floods inbox with stuff and whines about fees etc. I'm OUT! I need to sell stuff!!! Screw raffles and fees etc. I wish selling stuff efficiently wasn't just larger guilds in ESO. They need to make it easier and quicker to sell things for everyone.

did leave a guild last night trader guild have to say they were very social , but just dislike you have to sell so much or be kicked , in most guilds most dont even bother to help , can understand everyone doing thier thing , its a mmo after all .

so in general its the weekly fee , or donation , raffle .

some players asking for help in a quest ,kill a world boss or a daily pledge , can you make me set armour , food etc .

only in 4 guilds now 1 social 3 trader , and them traders are now getting to the point fee or go .

so well done to the person who set up this wonderfull guild trader system , perhaps we can ask englands goverment to get that wonderfull person a knighthood .

do think with the system we have all smaller guilds with say 50 members can have a trader , out of the way in the starting areas , with limited slots to sell and a set fee to get it .

When I have left guilds it's because the community there wasn't one I meshed well with. I've also left some in order to free up space for guilds I would be more active with. I also tend to leave trade guilds if I am not trading with them often enough (it's rude to take a place if you're not doing enough business).

I divide guilds into three categories, so that my criteria depends on that:

• Trading: I gladly pay a weekly fee but I do expect a trader in a main city or, at worst in a secondary spot such as Daggerfall or Craglorn. I usually wait for the new traders then I pay my fees, so that I can decide whether to pay or not (I am paying for a service, in th eend). If a trading guild fails to win a good trader (or any trader at all) for a couple of weeks I leave.
• Trials: I do expect many trials during the week. Many normals. Several veteran. Progression runs each week. I don't mind if sometimes there is no spot for me, but I want the guild to be active. I expect crystals farm runs on the weekend. I enjoy hosting both normal and veteran trials myself. I leave if there is no activity. I don't expect any trader.
• Casual/Social: I am there mainly for the people. I don't expect neither a trader nor veteran trials. I do expect people to be friendly and help each other, questing for fun, helping each other getting a monster mask. I leave if the guild essentially dies.

In all cases I do expect people to respect others. I leave if the guild masters allow people to freely insult others.

I often find myself preferring to stay guildless as opposed to joining guilds, either because I don't jell with guilds well, or I just don't want to feel like I have a bunch of unnecessary responsibilities piled on top of me.

This is a case for Roleplaying guilds. I have left guilds because of a conflict of interest, lack of communication/open events/ideas getting shot down, that or people just being a bit... Odd.

One noteworthy reason for me leaving a guild would be my annoyance with some big guild leader not taking the time to do an official recruitment thing with me, and when I tried getting his attention, he barked at me and punched me. Then had one of his lapdogs restrain me (Who also ignored any of my stomping at her feet), only to end with them both leaving me in the dust.

I hear that guild fell apart at the end, and that makes me feel happy.

I leave when the "everything offends me" people join and the white knights that back them up. I like to chill have fun and play with silly people not watch everything I say all the time. These people think they help a guild by making it a safe place for people and report everything to GM but in reality they make a fun guild boring and annoying.

When you come back to the game after some months breaks and the people you used to play with every day will no longer bother to answer your greetings or questions in guild chat or when guild members think so highly of themselves that they think other members of the guild are no longer deserving of carrying the guild tag around in the world of Nirn.

1. Guild chat that is annoying/offensive (racist, e-peening, elitist, disdainful of newbies, that sort of thing)
2. Losing trader frequently (obviously only in a trade guild)
3. A high number of "you need to make this for me because I'm your guildmate and hurry up whilst you're at it. Oh and no mats, no payment)
4. A guild that goes in a direction that is different from how it was when I joined. Like evolving into a raiding guild or PvP guild. That's fine but not my thing. Best to leave a slot for those for whom it is important.

1.) Compulsory weekly fee's - I have no issue donating part of what I sell voluntarily but if access is going to be withdrawn etc. I'd rather find somewhere else.

2.) Lack of a guild trader and No organised trial runs - Not all 5 of my guilds have guild traders, 1 in particular doesn't tend to get very good ones but consistently runs successful trials which makes it worth sticking around for. Good community too!

3.) Poor guild trader - Having a GT out in the middle of nowhere with little foot traffic is pointless and doesn't suggest its a guild worth sticking around in.

4.) Shite community - I've been in guilds which are 'noob' guilds, I.e the GM doesn't kick folk who quit so theres like 300+ people and no-one talks or attempts to answer questions or participate in pledges.

5.) A better one comes along. Loyalty is overrated :P Seriously though, if a guild isn't active enough, guild trader is poor and its just all round meh I'd rather find somewhere better.

I'm leaving guilds when guildchat is too active sometimes, because i'm feeling extremely tired with all these social interactions quite fast.
I don't like at all when I'm in a guild, because I'm perceveing it like a restriction, a lack of liberty with the rules from the guild, so after fews weeks I'm leaving.
I left some guild, because they're not doing at all what they said in their announce for recruitment.
I'm a free spirit, and I enjoy playing solo mainly and being guildless. (hence, also avoiding players critizing me for being factionless in pvp).
I left guilds for avoid dramas, toxic peoples, and all uncessary rules and restrictions.
And sometimes I'm not really a diplomat.

I left one guild because we went different directions. I liked the people and still do. When another guild showed up that I wanted to join, I dropped the guild I was least active in. That was them.

Joined a few bigger trial guilds. They all have really guys A teams. Board leaders even. But everything that isn’t an A team is just an inner guild pug. I can pug via Craglorn and free up a guild slot if that’s how it is. So I did.

Trade guilds that have constant chat traffic. It’s usually toxic as hell too. I have a pvp guild, a PVE guild and guild for friends. I can’t follow anything in those guilds because a trading guild is loaded with trash talking kids in constant peepee measuring contests. That’s why I left Spicy Burito.

Let's see. Drama, rudeness, cliquiness and awkwardness are the usual reasons. Guilds exist to enhance my enjoyment of the game, being it to help me to make money, provide compatible activities, allow me to participate in insightful conversation or just be a hub to hang out with my friends. If a guild isn't working for me then I leave. Plain and simple.

I haven't joined one yet, I'm pretty picky, but there are several factors that would influence my decision to leave a guild.

- Immaturity/Rudeness towards fellow members/new players
- Inactive leadership
- Unrealistic expectations, whether that be how often one can log on or mandatory fees. I'm a senior in college with a major that is project heavy and a minor in mathematics, I can't sign on everyday of the week for 4+ hours...
- Non-existent interaction, where even though lots of guildmates are online, virtually no one talks to each other over the course of several hours, consistently.
- Lack of Activities, while I might not be able to, or want to, join on weekly activities; having the option to join is always nice, plus they help alleviate the previous factor.

Basically, I look for an active, casual/social guild with friendly people, relaxed (if any) requirements, and regularly scheduled activities to partake in if desired. I also prefer guilds who's make-up is largely filled with older players, as they usually also have careers/jobs/college stuff to do so they are understanding that some days there are just not enough hours in a day to log on and play.

Was a member of a PvP guild that when I joined was a one alliance guild only. Supporting one alliance was important to me and my friends and went well for about a year then they changed to multiple alliance and we left. No real drama but PvPing in one alliance was important.

Yeah, it's pretty much the same with me. I've been in and out a lot of guilds, only a couple I've had any cause to say anything I didn't like about them, but the real reason though is because of the same thing you said. I'm a pretty shy person, so it takes a special circumstance for me to feel like I belong there, and it's pretty hard to find. I don't even know what it is I'm looking for, but I find it sometimes and I stay a long time in those guilds, even if I am still pretty much just a lurker in those too for the most part lol.

When social guild with helpful and friendly people in non pressure atmosphere isn't social, friendly, helpful and non pressure at all (except in their locked "circle" ofc).

I left a guild because they just keep updating their daily message and i am constantly getting spammed and ZOS can't be bothered to put in a setting to block that crap

Thank God I haven't join no guild yet. Never intent to, I have experience is better to ask for favors/help in something in chat and all can come and help and go away and in the process perhaps make true friends. Or casual ones.

Only reasons I have left have been fees or minimum sales. Also toxic chat - racism homophobia, elitism etc... no need for it al all.
