Disagree. Even in pve, your set should never do more damage than your skills. Before the last set “balance” patch when most prof sets were nerfed, 3 of the 4 highest damage “skills” in my combat reports for vet trials were my set procs.
I argued then, and still feel now, that this was equally inappropriate for pve and pvp and that the nerfs were the right step.
Unfortunately they undid all of that effort by introducing Zaan and Sload. You really wear this set in PvE? 853 dps, uncrittable, unbuffable?

I wasn’t bashing PvPers. I was bashing the need to nerf PvE because of PvP. I get it, I saw the picture on the OP. It’s broken in PvP. But, only fix it in PvP. No need to involve PvE in something that’s broken in PvP.
Based on the picture, it looked like the damage stacked from multiple sources and was calculated together on the death chart. If they prevented it from stacking on player characters, that would probably resolve the issue.

Perwulf✭✭✭✭✭This is probably just bug in tooltip or an exploit that other players have discovered. I play PvP a lot both CP and non-CP and still haven't stumbled at those multiple sload procs. Also fyi I also use sload set because it synergies well with my current build but it can easily be out-healed by good players, same goes on my end. I was one of those players saying Sload's is fine in the last couple of days... Seeing as it never ever has done much harm to me... Until recently.
Me saying this... was me never encountering what I'm about to share here... This is absolutely ridiculous and completely gamebreaking in Battlegrounds.
Not only that but this has completely destroyed PVP as it is. Nowadays everyone just runs the same proc set, over and over and over and there is absolutely no room for skill or even variety.
This right here has officialy, today, made me want to stop playing. Simply because there is nothing fun in this, there is nothing interesting, nothing new. It's all get a different set and hope Sload's doesn't proc. Actually... This has now become a game of... who procs what first, wins first.
Any of you care to tell me how would you play in a situation like this? Even as a max health recovery tank I can't see you surviving this. It's NOT JUST Sload. Keep in mind that players get to attack you at the same time as this keeps ticking. My sincere apologies again for ever daring to say that this set was just fine and that you can build around it.
EDIT: On another note, while in this situation multiple opponents use this set. I have more than a 100 times seen this proc over 3 times in a row from just one person. It's the fact that all incoming damage procs this, direct, aoe, dot, anything. This can literally proc 2 times from a single light attack and a single dot. Not to mention it's supposed to be 10%, yet it procs like if it was 50% due to all the effects that can stack up, that activate it.
ZOS, some words on this would be nice.

Just because there hasn’t been a lot of YouTube min/maxers proclaiming the greatness of Sloads in leaderboard trial runs doesn’t mean it’s not worth tinkering with as a crafted set. I’m sure there’s a way to squeeze it into a decent build. Not quite as good as Viper’s, but it’s free and fairly consistent unmitigated damage.

How would this be any different? You'd have the exact same results anyway. Magicka set or not... What, you actually naively believe that people would give up so much free unmitigated damage for a bunch of underperforming stamina attributes? Get out...
Even if Magicka only users used it in your perfect world, you'd still be dying from every MagSorc, MagBlade or what have you in the exact same fashion.
Magicka builds don't have bleeds and all the other overpowered mechanics Stamina has. I don't mind fighting Magicka builds with Sload's because they can't damage me any faster than I can damage them. At least it's a fair fight! Stamina builds, on the other hand, simply do more damage in less time. Sload's just exacerbates the existing imbalance between Stamina and Magicka.

✭You get killed a lot in PvP from flavor of the month. I got killed by the same guy like 4-5 times today. Maybe it was his amazing skills. Or maybe it was his OP equipment.
Or maybe it was the fact I was just soloing resources and my 90% purple setup isn't being conducive to being 1vXed by honor guard plus burst PvP builds. Especially when I'm alttabbed. I really don't care.
Judging by the screen, a lot of people attacked you while you had shields up or something. Doesn't seem remarkable. If i played a vampire and 6 people hit me with Sunderflame, I wouldn't expect to win.
There are really only 2 debatable things about Sload, and one of them isn't even Sload specific:
1. ZOS should clarify if it's intended that oblivion damage isn't affected by battle spirit (as I understand is the case).
2. It probably should not pull people out of stealth.
Most importantly: the incessant 'I got killed by X it needs to be nerfed into the ground' PvP whining significantly hurts the game. Yes some things probably need adjusting. Thing is nerfing things as a pacifier to crybabies (no offense) only makes crybabies cry about something else 2 days later, nerf zaan nerf ravager nerf hundings nerf pots nerf 2h nerf venom arrow. And we end up with a giant pile of useless equipment.
One perhaps overlooked issue with this is that it's the top players that can afford to gild out new sets all the time when things get nerfed. Thus widening the PvP gap that already makes PvP mostly unplayable for, I'd say most, ESO players.0 -

same here, when i use purge it removes the sloads D.O.T.
the only time i have a problem is when a group of people hitting me with it but, that has nothing to do with sloads, thats what normaly happens when a group attacks me, i die.2 -

Make it so that PvE gear can't be worn in PvP.
Everyone gets the same gear, like in GW2. Honestly, most of the problems I'm seeing are coming from how ESO has some archaic, vanilla-WoW era ideas which just don't stand up to scrutiny versus modern MMO design. They should also balance skills separately for PvP and PvE, too.
If they did this, all complaint threads like these would go away.1 -
