Vicente Valtiere, Dark Brotherhood, OblivionSpill some blood for me dear brother
I thought about the “adding MM and Auction addon functionality” option but decided that basically just turns guild traders into a global auction house.
Why beat around the bush? If they add that functionality to the game, they might as well just make it a global ah. It accomplishes the same thing.
You all know, who would reign the market then: Bots. ZOS does nothing to ban them in time. I once reported a CP 430 bot! Noone would be able to make good money via trading with a global AH.

I believe the current system could be decent. It would take some UI upgrades:
1. Text search is required. I should be able to find out if a trader has what I want without having to scroll through so many pages of similar but different items.
2. When I search for a blacksmithing motif, I should only see motifs that will let me learn how to make stuff at a smithy. I should not see motif pages for shields, bows or staves. The same goes for all other professions.
3. Although not my idea, but one I can agree with, I would like to see a toggle for hide known motif/recipe/design/etc.
If they were to implement the first, I would stop complaining about the others. I spend a lot of time interacting with the guild store system. More than is fun.

You must have a very different version of AGS and MM than the rest of us if you think they turn ESO’s traders into a global system

In its stead I think some type of a public trader would fit in without damaging the trading guilds private stalls. It would allow me as someone who will never be in a guild to sell/buy the odds and ends I generate/require through crafting and gathering. I would also like to see some type of global search built into the game as I am not big on add-ons and the like.

Updating the UI with MM and AGS features would certainly help.
In addition to this, I would love to see a higher fee for grabbing an empty trader. Make it at least 100k gold instead of the current 10k. Also, add a minimum stock. This means you could only hire a trader for your guild, if at least 1500 items (100 people all listing 15/30 or 50 people listing 30/30 items) are put in store.
I'm so sick of losing my overpriced bid to a one trick pony wallet warrior, who bids millions on a low frequent trader while having listed less than 50 items!
The system has to change, but a global AH is no option. That's for sure.

To me it is clear that, compared to other popular mmorpg, a much larger proportion of players in ESO complain of the current Guild Store system and only tolerate it, and also a much larger proportion of potential players decide to quit mainly because they can't tolerate this system. However, it seems that there is little chance we can get rid of it in the future. With that said, there is no harm to image a most satisfactory trading system in ESO. What's your opinion about this?
I want to stress again that this poll is solely about your preference, not about what ZOS "should" do or what we "should" expect. Please only make relevant comments, thanks in advance...

They allow for the efficient collection of data and give people an advantage over players who don’t use them. Anyone who is savvy enough can use that data to undercut the competition and ensure a larger volume of sales, also ensuring more income and guaranteed trader spots. Combine that information with TTC, and well, you’ve got normalization of pricing across the majority of traders and the exact same guilds in top trading spots week after week.
Of course, we could always cut the foreplay and implement a universal auction house - or ban the use of those addons. I’d be happy either way.
A huge trading city! Like dozens of traders in a single city.
