My real first and middle name because I hate being called by nicknames. I played before under nicknames, but it didn't feel right to be called anything else than my real name, especially when we end up meeting in real life. My flatmate become friend with other PUBG players from our city, they call each other by their discord name, when I meet them, they introduced themselves with their real names. Was a bit strange because I was calling them by their real names, while they called each other by their Discord name because is how they were used to.

I have nothing against using nicknames, privacy is important, especially on the internet, is just my preference to be called by my real name. I'm glad that in ESO you can use your account name in chat, this way I'm finally detached from my characters and also there is less confusion, like in other game where we had a guild meeting and I was suggesting something, but no one knew that the one that was talking was me, an officer on a less known character, even that everyone agreed on my suggestion.

My main when I played on PC was named Aurielle Oranius (being a reference, of course, to Auri-El). She was... a magicka Imperial DK. Yeah, I didn’t know WTF I was doing. When I moved to PS4 on my first account, my main was a Breton Templar named Aurielle Lafleur. I started a second PS4 account, which has been my main account for about a year now, as I didn’t like the first PS4 account name I’d selected in a hurry and was dealing with harassment in another game besides. None of my current characters are named Aurielle, which was not really intended. I’ve thought about doing a name change on one of them for consistency’s sake, but it seems like a waste of Crowns when they all have perfectly cromulent names.

I just made something up that I thought sounded cool and hoped nobody else had.

Being Scottish, I've always ended up using Clansman in some form. Unfortunately, a lot of people seem to think I'm a "Klan" supporter, which Is a little different...

When I was first making a Minecraft account, "Alpheus" was already taken, so I just deadmau5 it up whenever I can't use the original.

Its my play style

When my husband and I first got together forever ago, we camped nearly every weekend at a very remote campground along Briggs Creek. That was our favorite spot for years until the surrounding area burned down. I use it as my username for pretty much everything.

I simply thought "I need a new name" and looked up some "guides" on how to create nicknames. The first part, Saph, comes from the gem Sapphire, and "ayla" is just there to make it sound feminine.

Of course, about a year later I found out that there is a character with the exact same name (a character I've seen before I created the name, actually), but because I remember well the process of creating it, I'm certain that I didn't plagiarize it.

Long long ago playing Tradewars on BBSs I usually played a good character and used the name Spaceman Spiff. I decided one game to play an evil character and Spaceman Spiff didn't sound evil. I decided I would use the name Kurgan from the Highlander movie. Unfortunately I was drunk at the time and have never been good at spelling so I ended up with kargen. I try to use the name kargen whenever I can in games. Sometimes kargen is taken so I throw on the 27 for account or user names.
Usually I will create a character named Cairgen to go along with the kargen user name.

Altough pubilus calls me Commander Little Fish in zone and I am oddly born under the pisces sign, I'm actually named after a song from my favorite album.

Since I started immersing myself in TES with Skyrim years ago, I loved the witch covens and hagravens. I'm a fan of witchcraft in almost all media, so I was super interested and super happy when I saw that ESO expanded on their role with the Beldama and Glenmoril Wyrds. I also just think the name sounds cool and mystical haha, I use it for a few different accounts, like my PSN.

I was Lethalla on the Assassin's Creed official forums... sort of female-assassin-y.
Which lead to a then-guildie nicknaming me Tally... when I then made a new PSN name I became TallyCat. Because I like cats. (And nothing to do with Metallica, as my husband thought.)
