Doshira Not killable

I did this with DK Tank build (Sword/Shield), was taking me 2 regular attacks to kill each orb and I managed to do it. It's about the mechanics. Instead of a nerf they just need to make the area you fight her a little larger and make it so the orbs don't spawn inside walls.

I also noticed some slight bugging where the orbs wouldn't appear and she would just be healed back to full for no obvious reason. I died about I think 6 times before I managed to get a lucky one where it didn't bug and I killed her.

If you are having trouble perhaps try using food buffs and Quickslot Health Potions. :)

Please don't nerf her, its real easy once you think outside the box and realize what to do.

Im not sure they need to nerf her, but fix the little bugs that don't allow your attacks to damage the orbs. I was able to kill her easily after a fight or two and realizing what to do. But when I tried showing my brother how, the orbs on his game were invulnerable to attack so she just kept healing. We tried every type of weapon and tried leaving and re entering the instance. Nothing seems to work for him.

    This is so silly.

If you want to be a pure healer, you obviously have to know that Solo PvE is going to be harder. That's just common sense. Also, in Solo PvE, you should always have some kind of damage, aoe or otherwise. All other MMO's with healer classes give them the ability to kill enemies with spells.

You have the ability to respec so when you hit higher content or play PvP you can move to a role more suited to pure healing.

If you are building your character's abilities for end game content right now in early game, expect things to be incredibly hard, esp if you are playing solo where you don't have the mana or health pool to back it up.

Nerfing her isn't needed. Currently, the bugs are what's keeping me from killing her. There are little "gaps" in the timing where I simply cannot attack, despite having near full health, magika and stamina. Then there's the unhittable orbs bug, where I can swing and swing at an orb but never hit it...after destroying the other three orbs. This unkillable orb always makes it to Doshia, healing her fully...and this starts the dance all over again.

I was a DK with two hander, spiked armor, molten weapons, earthen fist AND silver bolts and still couldn't DPS enough to take her out. There's something wrong with the encounter.

It's a solo only encounter is what's wrong with it. Bad design choice, imnsho. (That's In My Not So Humble Opinon, in case you were wondering)
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

I think it's stupid for an MMO to have forced solo missions like this. Why can't it be a choice, many other games have done so. Solo people can play solo and enjoy the challenge that they want, and those who play duo (like I do) can do it together, etc. These missions can be scaled, many other MMO's do this. It doesn't have to be dummied down for those who want the solo challenge. Why can't we all have a choice?

When can you even face Doshia? I'm a level 17 templar and haven't had to fight her yet. Where do you get the quest? I'm currently on a level 15 Fighter's Guild quest in Grahtwood.

It may help you to learn your class options better. I couldnt beat Doshia the first time so I modified my strategy. Now as a dragon knight I learned I have to use abilities that knock her down. During that point I can kill the orbs and/or damage her a lot. I am fairly sure if you looked at your skills you could find a way to beat her.

Also remember to dodge (double tapping direction keys). Just not all the time only when you need to get out of the way of her spells.

Besides dodge you should figure out that you have to interrupt her. Figure out your interrupt spells/abilities.

Check your level and quest level. If you are too low. Level up and come back. If you are same level then perhaps look at your gear. Are you wearing gear 2+ levels back? Probably you should gear up before going back into the fight.

Above all do not give up.

Oh, and this is groupable right?

That's strange. I did all of the stuff with Merric and Aelif, but never encountered Doshia. I'm an AD Templar. Currently on the quest to meet the guild leader in Grahtwood.

My restro staff is my dps. I should not have to think outside the box. I should be able to play how I like. This is how I was advertised. This is how I want to play. If I can not play this way then I was misadvertised to. I want to play my game how I want to play it and ESO said we can do that. Hey you want to try and "think outside the box" great for you. However that is not the role I am playing.

If you are trying to kill Doisha as a "healer" or a "tank" then that is your problem. Put on a 2 hand sword or a destruction staff, kill her orbs, and you shouldn't have much problem. If you think you are going to be able to level in this game using only a resto staff or a 1h and shield, you are only going to make things hard on yourself. You get weapon swap at 15, until then, use a dps weapon, and at 15 you can slot your tank or healer weapons as your second set. Problem solved.

I did this as a 'tank' build using the Dragonknight Standard Ultimate ability. It will both drop her health and destroy the orbs at the same time, just keep her standing in it.
Nova (Templar) and Storm Atronach (Sorcerer) should also work,

A- BARELY have enough time to kill all the orbs as a healer class.
B- When I do have time to DPS the boss I can not do enough damage.
C- Sometimes all the orbs are not even gone and it summons yet more orbs.

Clearly this boss was not well thought out. It needs to summon the orbs at every percent of missing health to make it remotely killable to all classes/specs. Not every xyz seconds.

This is not enjoyable it can not kill me and I can not kill it. I have never played an MMO where I can not progress through it because the boss on a solo mission could not be killed.

Negative. I killed her very easily with a resto staff. L2playyercharacter.

I have to say, just for the record, I really like getting my butt kicked at low levels. I'm not being sarcastic. I like that this is a challenge. I like when I have to go level up some more to beat a boss. I don't want easy kills and fast progress.

I really like your perspective. Challenges should be more widely accepted imo.

During beta my first go at Doshia was with a lvl 7 NB, and it was painful, to say the least. The sense of accomplishment of figuring out how to beat here was fantastic. Once the mechanics of the fight are grasped she is very easy to beat.

For the OP. You can play however you want to play. But, do not expect to be able to accomplish everything in ESO if you are not flexible. Doshia is part of the Fighter Guild quest line, so having to use DPS makes a good deal of sense. If you want to RP a healer then perhaps just focus on the mage guild. If you want to complete and earn everything then you probably need to adapt a little. Complaining on forums about difficulty in the game is just going to get you flamed.

Not sure why this quest, and the Gutsripper one, aren't doable as a group. This is an MMO we're playing here, not a Massively Single-Player Online game.

Are you a Templar and do you have any of the dps class skills unlocked?

Templar yes but I am heals only no DPS skills. I want to play as a healer. The game should not hinder this. It should compliment my choices. If I can only defeat the boss in one skill set then this means that the game is broken as it is advertised that you can play how you want to play. If I can not play how I want and progress through the game (within reason) Then this is clearly outside of what was advertised and the scope of the vision they painted for us.

If you kill the first set of orbs right away Doshia only has a sliver of health. A couple light sword or melee swings and she's dead. The problem occurs if she is allowed to absorb orbs then it becomes a full on epic battle.

No not really Kill the orbs they only take 1 hit period and widdle her health down, Heal yourself. Kill the next set of orbs, Widdle her down... Heal yourself. It may take a long while, but you can do it pure healing stats.

Awesome but uhm there is no stairs. There also is no platform she is in the back of a cave. I had a spelling Error it is really called Doshia.

Somehow I think without the stairs and platform it will not work..

The layout of the tomb she's in depends on your faction. In DC, she's in a small room with a hallway leading to her. Be wary: I pushed her through the wall of that hallway with destro-staff 1. The stairs are AD. Havn't seen her on EP yet.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. We're checking it out on our end. She is supposed to be difficult, but not to the point of frustration. Also, please be sure to keep discussion civil and on-topic. We just want you beating Doshira, not each other. ;)

The fight is absolutely all-right... on some specs. Others have a hard time due to lack of spammable AOE that's big enough to reliably kil the orbs that approach her from behind and that you can't shoot at because the soft-lock directs your arrows to her instead.

If the fight is unbalanced, it's because other specs have it easy. On my Sorcerer I used morphed destro staff 2 (for size) to kill the bubbles easily and reliably. The storm atronarch tanked her at the beginning, followed by the imp so I could stay back and avoid the three-pronged fan of ice or what it may be. Easiest fight ever. The damn three trash mobs at the top of the stair (AD) were harder than her!

So you see, it's all about your build / spec. On some, Doshia is a pushover. On others she's a showstopper.

Seriously did anyone watch the video I posted... He beats Doshia at level 6 with white crafted gear, a crafted bow, and only 1 skill.... let me say that again 1 SKILL

This fight isn't hard... it is about mechanics. If you can't figure this out you might want to get better at playing. Seriously not trying to be rude and I know that last sentence comes off that way, but I mean come on....

She has a frontal cone... you have 2 options
    1) Either don't stand in it... (I know crazy concept, don't stand in the bad stuff) 2) Interrupt the cast ( Should have learned how to do this on 2nd skeleton in tutorial)

Other than that KILL THE ORBS... they are 1 shot easy to kill... if you kill them you get full health she gets none.... Again in the video he is almost dead, like 55 health left... kills the orbs and is full health

Gutsripper is so easy it's not even funny. DPS from a distance run up the stairs and jump off the ledge when he get's close then keep shooting from a distance and run back up the stairs to the left side platform again and keep jumping off til dead. KITE KITE KITE!

Thank you for your comment but the thing is that at level 9 you only have a finite amount of ability points. You CAN slot other weapons yes but you will have no skills in said weapon.

My combo has worked great up till this point and I have no need or desire to change it. Then this happens and what I am left with is no choices or no way to change. I am stuck as is. Even if I took the time to level my weapon skill it ouwld not change the fact that I literally get no benefit from it skill wise to replace my restro staff.

By the time I got there I had the 6 Skyshards from the starter Island and 7 of the Auridon Skyshards (4 from public dungeons and 3 above ground in route to that quest) which gave me 4 more Skill points above the ones from leveling and doing specific quests. You should definitely have more skill points than just what is need to fill the Healing class tree.

Also you have to have some sort of damaging ability in order to level as high as you did, how else would you have killed the quests mobs? Kill orbs, Widdle down Doshia's Health and Heal as needed. Don't rush just do not let her absorb orbs. The orbs only take one hit to kill.

It is really hard, and I was mad about it each time I lost, I eventually had to go level and then come back at level 14, even then as a dedicated healer with a bow it was hard. I was able to beat her after a few more tries. Even though it took me forever I really like how the game makes you stop and take time on things. The game should be like that instead of mindlessly plowing through everything.

I made a pure crafting character in the beta. I got so frustrated, but I did kill her (in her incarnation where there are stairs so you can kite her).
There were other frustratingly hard fights - many of them - but that was a choice I made, as a crafting character. If I couldn't kill level 7 things even at twice their level, that was MY CHOICE. It was my choice to come back later, at a higher level, rather than divert from my choice of a crafting-only character.
    - It was challenging. No, it was more than challenging - it was massively frustrating. But that was OK.

I use the first dawn's light (or whatever that line is called) skill as my main dps skill. The rest are all heals. Investing in a damage glyph for your weapon to add a damage aspect is helpful even to a healer as well. With the proper magika regen gear and health/stamina pieces as well, you'll still be able to heal efficiently and still kill things like Doshia. I consider myself a dedicated healer simply because in a group the majority of what i do is heal. Though at times I launch my fire skill or use my passive I invested in to heal an ally at the end of a strong attack. Just because you are a dedicated healer doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to defend yourself properly and efficiently. You'd be surprised at what one skill can do to help get a mob down faster. And it's fairly cost-effective as magika consumption goes. Hope this helps!
