Why don't zos just auto add the skill points on login....for those with max chars etc....
To me that is the wrong attitude. You basically want something for nothing. What bothers me is I won't be able to do the content. I personally could care less if I get a skill point or not but I want to experience the new content contained in the tutorial.
So roll a new character - or do you really want a veteran character to run through each and every tutorial? That makes no sense.
So... With every chapter released my main character will lack more and more skill points...
That's not fair, ZOS. Is this really such a big problem that you can't fix it with simple patch? @ZOS_GinaBruno

No, it's just one single skill point.

its a beta, we have to leave feedback to prevent it from happening, I swear you "its just one single skillpoint" crowd are toxic. Telling us to reroll characters with many motifs learned and over 20k achievement points and other insane methods to get what we should have access to in the first place

I was replying to a poster who thought you got 1 point for summerset and 1 point for morrowind.
They thought each new chapter gave a new skill point.
It has nothing to do with what you posted.

I haven't really paid attention to new quests for existing characters, but are we sure there isn't something similar coming from the other side?
If there isn't, then I agree, that's an oversight and one that needs correcting. Yes, its ONLY one skillpoint...now two counting somerset. Or did Clockwork have one to? Then we are up to 3. I don't think clockwork has one, but I've only ventured there to get shards, haven't done the quests yet.
Him. I just started a toon with my GF some days ago and we are 30 now.
She ran the tutorial and I didn’t, does that mean she has one more skill point than me ?

Morrowind's tutorial gives you a skillpoint if you do or skip it, as long as you owned morrowind when you created your character you'll own it
If this is a serious problem, and it's a big if in my view, then the answer is that whichever tutorial a character first completes should give a skill point, and no other subsequent tutorial should do so. It's absurd to propose that veteran characters should run around doing duplicate tutorials just because they're missing one skill point. It shouldn't be about a Morrowind character getting a skill point in Vvardenfell and then another one in Coldharbour, while a pre-Morrowind character only had one in Coldharbour, it should be about the Morrowind character only getting one in Vvardenfell and not getting another one in Coldharbour. Similar considerations will apply in respect of Summerset.
Unfortunately, resolving things that way may satisfy the completionists who currently feel hard done by but will deprive everyone else of an extra skill point!
I can't believe it's been a year and nothing has been done about this. But they’re doing it again, locking existing characters out of an intro quest in DLC that we’ve paid for... I'm not rolling a new character every time a dlc comes out, if that’s what they expect then just go ahead and wipe the whole damn server every year.
How about letting me play the content that I’ve paid for (morrowind and summerset intros) on my main character that does all the questing.
Edited to be more constructive...
... is still bugged a year later
