I’m... stupefied by the things ZOS does without thinking things through.
A hardened ward shield nerf? Really? You’re basically forcing every sorcerer to shield stack now, and killing the builds of the few of us who only ran hardened ward. Revert that. It’s not needed.
Empower grants 40% to light attacks... I can’t wait to get in game and put on queens elegance and light people up with 20K+ empowered overload shots. Again. Not a smart change at all, they seriously need to rework overload before doing this.
Swap the damage between overload heavy attacks and light attacks. Problem solved.
I read the shield change as a buff to the other morph, with hardened staying the same.
Me2, there is no shield nerf... Read again

This would make sustain on magicka sorcs even more difficult because ranged DDs barely block attacks.
Even with Witchmothers mag sorcs struggle to sustain their rotation. Mag NBs can sustain with blue food and pull more dps. This way its getting real simple for ranged builds, mag NB or GTFO...
The change to Lightning Flood is cute but whats the point if sorcs cannot sustain it?
This passive change is complete garbage if not reverted. Sustain is freaking horrible for Sorcs. I can’t remember the last time I wore an actual damage set in PVP. It’s all max resource resource and sustain sets now, just to be able to play the game.
Kindly stop trying to make us all tanks Eric. Thanks. We’re wizards. We want to cast spells. We don’t ever use block as a ranged DD, we use shields instead. Why would we ever block except when someone uses an ultimate on us?
I just watched Shimmer's video and it appears they are changing the Persistence passive in this way while attaching the 20% duration buff it provided to Dark Magic skills to the skills themselves.
So unless I missed something, Unholy Knowledge stays the same. Was worried there for a moment.
@ToRelax @Minalan are you mixing up persistance + unholy knowledge in your argument?
Loosing the cost reduction would be pretty huge - loosing the extra duration fairly irrelevant.

1. They took the duration increase off of persistence, and added those to all of the dark magic skills instead.
2. They made Persistence into a passive that grants the cost reduction bonus after blocking. It’s for tanking builds, but ranged Sorcs can still use it to shield up cheap - if you get caught with shields down for a second you can block cast them back up.
All of the Sorc buffs are really PVE, tanking centric, or extremely situational to use. All we asked for is a frags buff, we didn’t get one. Now everyone else in Cyro is getting buffs to healing and defense.
Our class isn’t going to be in any better shape.

Tbh, I think this passive might actually be pretty useful in tight situations along with the passive damage shield from the Psijic line.
Of course, everyone buying the chapter seems to be getting the latter as well... which is just bad, if it works like described in PvP.

I haven't seen anything on Psijic passives. What is this passive damage shield?

Using what cc skill exactly on a mag warden?

He's using destro stun I think. You don't need swords with the animal DMG done percentages, so destro gives you the greatest benefit; especially since force pulse is faster than birds and is 10% penetration with the stun giving adot.
