Is this Worm Cult style the same as the Fang Lair style? I hope not, since I was looking forward to farming that motif from the actual dungeon. Althoigh if the event drop is as common as Hollwjack/Skinchanger, that's fine too.

No. They look completely different. I want to say Fang Lair's motif is named after the dungeon. I've seen the name on a couple items, but that's via an addon, so it's possible the dev needed to fill in a name by hand. I think Scalecaller's is called Dragon Priest, or something like that.

You can preview what Worm Cult looks like in the collectibles UI right now.

Have we really crafted 1 item pr. 2 monster kills?

Let's say you're working on vAS hardmode. Might take you 10 hours worth of raiding to kill him for the first time. Let's say each player uses one potion per minute (to account for downtimes between pulls, breaks, etc.) for those 10 hours. That's 12*600 = 7200 crafted potions expended to kill one enemy. Sure, subsequent clears won't be as bad, but you gotta remember that some crafted items lifespans in the seconds.

Similarly, people in PvP might chug a couple of hundred crafted potions per night and not kill any monsters.

Or what about people who have characters who don't do combat and just farm writs? For writs that are not max level, that's around 30 crafted items per day every day on a character that doesn't kill anything.

By the docks in Daggerfall, Davon's Watch, and Vulkhel Guard, if it's the book I'm thinking of.

Me too! Ain't it grand! Well, if not for the associated aches and pains, BUT having more time free to play makes up for that, I think. And having the leisure to look at the crowds in a dungeon (For example) and say "Bugger this! I'll come back later." is really nice.

I swear to god if Worm cult is impossible to get I'm going to *** lose it.

I hope not as well. I'll be starting off with 90 crafting writ dailies (180 on the first day by doubling up). If they are still hard to find doing 90+ dailies every day then some people will have a seriously hard time acquiring them.

wow, awesome idea, I never thought to save the previous day's crafting dailies...hopefully, the quest turn-in time is what counts, and not the quest pick-up

just to add to this great idea...anyone who has any existing surveys saved up, use 'em now as prep work, so that you don't run out of mats during the event...

So... this is basically a crafter's event?

Any chance at all that the materials will include furniture crafting materials and maybe even recipes for cooking/furniture?

No but crafting writs are the easiest way to get the extra boxes.

Any non repeatable daily quest will give you extra boxes.

This includes the TG heists, DB sacraments, daily delve quests, daily WB quests and daily undaunted quests.

I was speaking about the rewards as they seem to be crafting-centric.

I assume ZOS will put up an official announcement soon, but in the meantime, the Announcement Article is up here: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/26349

The time: The anniversary event begins on Wednesday, April 4 at 10:00AM EDT and runs until Monday, April 16 at 10:00AM EDT.

The cake: When you complete “Ache for Cake" you'll receive the brand-new, three-tiered Anniversary Jubilee Cake. It'll be added to your Mementos within your Collectibles UI.

The quests: To help you identify what daily and weekly quests are available to you, we have also added the “Adventurer's Almanac, 2nd Edition" to the game. Upon reading it, if you have completed the Mages Guild quest line, the new book will be added to your Eidetic Memory and be accessible from your Journal at any time. You can find the book somewhere near Chef Donolon in each capital city. The book contains everything you need to know about the available weekly and daily quests, including their location, activity type, requirements, and recommended level of experience to complete.

The rewards: Throughout the event, any daily or weekly quest you complete will earn you an Anniversary Gift Box (in addition to their regular rewards). These reward boxes contain crafting materials (ore, ingredients, runes, etc.) and a single rare crafting item (Nirncrux, style items, motif pages, etc.) Note: Gift Boxes cannot be earned by completing infinitely repeatable quests. Rarer rewards include hard-to-get motif pages previously only available in Vvardenfell, the Horns of the Reach dungeons, and the Clockwork City. Even rarer, you could receive a motif page for the brand-new Worm Cult style, a look that can only be found in the Anniversary Gift Boxes!

Just how rare are they gonna make the new motif? Sounds like we only get this event for a CHANCE at it?

Probably painfully rare. i do not look forward to two weeks of "WTS Worm Cult Legs 1.5mil PST" messages flooding the zone chat. If ZOS understood how toxic these super rare drops make the community, how it sucks the enjoyment out of events like this with everyone trying to suck as much gold out as possible of other players, they'd ease up on the u;lra tight RNG chances, but they literally don't care how bad it is in-game, as long as people log on and pay their subs.

What about the fun for those of us that enjoy sucking gold out of other players? Gold vampires, if you will.

So people looking and expecting that rare worm cult motif. Please don't get your hopes up and then spam the forums crying and moaning how unfair ZOS is and how stupid the event was because you didn't get that ultra rare motif complete set or whatever it is else you will complain about. It's just an event you might get something cool or you might not each time you do daily. SO, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODS DO NOT EXPECT TO GET ANYTHING OR EVERYTHING YOU WANT!

If you don't get what you want shrug your shoulders and go on about your day. Remember you started this event with it costing you nothing and you will end the event it costing you nothing. Oh and also please do not complain about any guild merchant pricing flux due to event.

It costs plenty of mats for crafting, not to mention time.

if you're talking about amassing mats as well, for the crafting, that I could agree with, however, doing all 6 writs on a char, takes me less than 10 minutes, and even on 15 chars, that's less that 2 and a half hours, to pick up 90 gift boxes...fewer chars would be fewer boxes, but also less time spent as well...

PS: lotsa quick and easy gold & XP with the buff too, as a side benefit...for a level 50 char, gold will be between 3.5 and 4k per char..15 chars is about 50-60k...and the XP is roughly the same, around 4 to 4.5k per char under normal circumstances. Now, you add the 100% XP buff, and it's about 8-9k per. If you do them when your enlightenment has just renewed, it's about 35k, per char and that's only 10 minutes each. You'd actually run out of enlightenment before you did all 15 chars, but you'd get most of 'em in. Gold still stays the same tho', so IMHO, a pretty good and easy deal, with gift boxes on top of it...

Then, after you've gotten your fill, you could then start on the more time-consuming delves, pub dungeons & dolmens, for more boxes

    Some interesting facts
    • Highest unpaid bounty: 248,655,731 gold
    • Highest paid bounty: 362,324 gold
I wonder who decided to pay up. Also, something that doesn't really seem realistic is:
    • Total number of monsters killed: 15,881,472,493
    • Total number of items crafted: 7,415,834,454
Have we really crafted 1 item pr. 2 monster kills?

The biggest paid bounty isn't accurate I paid a 450k bounty off on my main two weeks ago.

I've gotten my writs down to about 5-6 minutes. So looking at less than an hour and a half, personally.

Not to mention poisons and potions. Whenever I make pots for myself, I make 2k-3k at a time for convenience sake. And I know a lot of people make thousands or tens of thousands of poisons at a time.

I suspect it'll be 15 through 57 that drop (probably excluding 29, 31, 42, 43, and 46). Last year, I don't remember 1-14 dropping at all, so it was just the motifs that actually drop as individual pages. Additionally, I don't think 37 can drop from the boxes, or at least it couldn't last year, even though the style stones could.
