I get back to the district he is in with the 2 DC that are attacking him and there is one other PUG AD that jumped in. So when I get there it is now 3v2 in our favor. There's lots of NPC's attacking at this point too. The two DC turn tail and try and escape, they don't stick together so I break off and chase a Stamden (I'm a StamSorc). We're both using speed pots but since I'm a StamSorc I'm able to conserve stamina by using streak. The Stamden finally stops to fight and I kill him. That's that. Or so I thought.
I get a whisper from the Stamden "Pathetic, like you did something AD zergling. 1v1 me." I'm thinking dude you jumped my buddy when it was a 1v2 and then it becomes a 3v2 and you turn tail and run. I chase you and it's a 1v1 and I killed you. Even if they didn't try and run and straight up fought, a 3v2 is hardly a zerg. Like wtf man?
ESO PVP isn't balanced. I think it would be nice if people could avoid using cheese.
I will rage whisper the following:
-cloak ninjas
-cheesy emps
-people using coldfire on me when I'm alone
-people who t-bag me after they've killed me with 3-to-1 (or more) odds
The cloak ninjas I especially don't understand. It's usually good players who've decided that their enjoyment of the game is more important that everyone else's enjoyment.
Conversely I will also whisper people to tell them "well played" or "fun fight" if I come across them and we have a good fight, no matter if I win or lose.
ESO PVP is just a game. I wish people could be more sportsmanlike about it.

That's one way of looking at it. But any means at your disposal? CE?you are the exact kind of person who should not pvp. my sportsmanship is giving you a chance to whinge as you like dead on the ground because you are not a good enough player to avoid it. i will use any and all means at my disposal to kill you.
why should your enjoyment of the game prevent me playing the game as intended? its not my fault you dont understand what pvp is.

Don't you know, if you're in a group your a zergling, duh. Idc if it's a group of two and the other guys logged off. Zerglings.
But its funny the guy probably think of himself as some 1vx guy. But they always cry when they get "zerged" however they pride themselves on being about to win those situations. The hypocrisy is amazing.

Over the past weekend, I've been in a group with around 6-10 (mostly) nightblades. A real well knitted group, while yellow and blue seems to have had "PVE zerg holiday event" or whatever. We avoided the well known tower farmers and eye-of-flamers as we saw them. Making a million AP in a couple of evenings of "mini zerging" really isn't a problem, and we didn't even see any rage whispers! LOL You can't really play objective that way now, but killing a crap zerg from behind etc. works very well. Then wait for massive defense ticks before moving on.
Point is, the zerg rules now. And it's just stupid to complain about "zergers", seems 90% of all players are in like maximum 2 locations at the same time.

Yeah, I don't understand people like you. But thank you for allowing me to whinge at you. If you play a NB I hope you don't find it annoying if I mark you and 5 of my friends chase you down. It's all fair, yeah?

Not CE, ok that's good. How about gap closing into keeps? Macroslice? Trollking? Earthgore destro trains? Multibox faction spying? I think there are things in the game you think are fair and things you think are not fair. This forum here is so we can discuss these opinions.not ce. other players, siege engines, guards, npcs, and all my characters abiltiies whether you think them fair or not. I may not like being chased down by 5 people but i dont go complaining about it. its part of the game and i accept that when i enter cyrodil. unlike some people.
you claim to not understand people trying to kill you in a player vs player zone? you really should not play pvp.
And what gives you the position to say somebody shouldn`t pvp or doesn`t understand pvp when they play the game in a different way then you do? Why would that even bother you?

Fair enough. But I think there's a lot of area where ZOS hasn't got around to fixing stuff yet or hasn't made an official statement because of their rather hands off approach. And I think it's up to the players to moderate themselves instead of exploiting that stuff, so we get an overall better experience in Cyrodiil. Yes, I know I'm in the minority here. Yes, I understand that a lot of people here think Cyrodiil is war but it's not. It's a game.Joy_Division wrote: »Really? You're going to lump together gear sets and legal abilities with stuff that ZoS has explicitly forbid?
You claim to be a sportsman, but all that really means is "play the way I think is sporting." What the heck is a "cloak ninja" anyway? Does that mean a NB using it's signature skill instead of getting melted because the class has no heal or inherent tankiness? That's going to get a rage whsiper from you? If I'm emperor, should I message you to get some sort of approval of what's "cheesy" and not cheesy?
Sheez. Just rez. It's not like there is a penalty for dying or you're going to miss out on a big time professional contract just for dying.

AND I know I'll get replies like "If you know it's just a game why would you get salty about it?" Well, these people I whisper in Cyrodiil have one of a few responses. Either they ignore me, that's fine. Or they say "I think what I'm doing is ok", which is also fine. Or they reply with something along the lines of "Ah delicious salty tears, I'll keep focusing you because I like making people upset, l2p git gud" - and that's not fine. These are the people I usually have a problem with because they are intentionally doing that crap to get a rise out of people.
I don't know. Maybe you all are right and I just should stop ESO pvp. I'll consider it.
Yeah, I suppose you're right. That's probably why half the posts in PVP Combat & Skills forum are just that.Joy_Division wrote: »Moderating is fine, but there are going to be different opinions what is OP, what is an exploit, etc., and that's just going to lead to arguments and making the PvP community even more salty.
I guess the main reason it frustrates me is that I feel like I get locked into a certain way of playing to counter particular builds. Especially if I get locked into something that's already too prevalent, like NB or heavy armour.Joy_Division wrote: »Just think it's so much easier just not to get worked over how other people play the game.
