People whine about everything. But it's not all players but a handful. Just don't reply/react to it. I don't put people on ignore unless they trashtalk about my mom.

They worst thing though is if you die and one of your own alliance members teabags you. Yes, i wrote down your name. No more res from me for you.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I'm not the teabagger kind of guy, I rarely "corpse watch", and only when it's actually really a strategy I "zerg down" solo players (i.e. they are heading towards a crucial keep fight, or go after a scroll etc.). If someone in my group is 1vX'ed by enemies, I do snipe stack them before they kill my allies and go for me, yes I do. After all - it's supposed to be war, not a dueling tournament. I respect people who seem to be doing "their thing", I have pulled out of "helping" allies when they just stopped and started watching. I'm ok with that.

It's like as soon as you don't have time or possibility to do really thought through skill rotations, you start ti think "Oh, is this guy crying his eyes out now? Maybe I should have let him win?". This problem got way worse since I started to main a Nightblade. I really doesn't matter what you do as a NB, people are pissed off. I've had crap thrown in my direction for all kinds of kills.

Nightblades aside - all you hate messengers: What is a "legit kill"? How are we allowed to kill you before you are about to start discussions about how you are killed? It's getting tiresome, I really don't want to block messages just because some might act like this.

Only time I get a little frustrated from a death when I'm solo is when my death recap includes 2 meteor and an eye of the storm. That point I'm thinking REALLY was that necessary.

Last week, I was hit by two Meteor (and a oils and what not) when I ran through a keep door, I blocked the first - but didn't realize there was another incoming, so of course I died. Had to share that experience in area chat because of "LOL", and had the answer "You should block", and then I got to know that I was a useless player who needed to "L2P" and should hang around the Northern Gate instead - I must be the only one who ever died from Meteor, apparently! I took it the guy was salty in general, and had to let it out... ;-D

salt usually comes from several types of things and certain types of people;

Salty deaths from abilities/classes;

- Fight me without stuns!
- Fight me without being on a broken class (usually targeted at sorc players)
- Fight me without ganking from stealth scrub!

It kinda goes on from there but you get the picture. The first one being the primary of the current campaigns as its pretty much a CC meta atm.

The types of people;

- Ego, usually from people who think they're better than they actually are.
- Frustrated people, those who are tired of lag and the same old things killing them, usually stuns or in many cases due to the abundance of sorcs in the game "implosion" or "mage wrath explosion", other things too though.
- People who put too much stock in 1v1 fights (they're basically just ego trips nothing more).
- People who hate zergs spamming the usual purge and other things.

Like the first list, it goes on. Those are the primary things ive noticed though.

Too be honest if they get salty at you just be nice too them, they're expecting you too respond and *** them off more. They dont expect kindness.

Ive also noticed a vast majority of people who end up whispering enemies tend too whisper some rage filled crap towards them and then block them so you can't respond too their rage. A clear sign that they can dish it but cannot take it whatsoever. Kinda amusing actually.

You are not allowed to kill anyone whilst using any of the following:

Snipe or any morphs therein, unless in Melee range of the target, because the target probably spent a lot of time & energy golding out their farmed melee build gear and you make them look silly in front of their pals/stream or made them use horse simulator from BRK to Roe Farm tower again.

Any other bow skills, again unless in Melee range of the target and even then you are not allowed kill any other Melee target with your bow.

If you are not in Melee range with your bow, you are zerg surfing (from the back), hiding on a wall, hiding in sneak, firing out of melee range (you coward how dare you).

Or..you main a bow, unless your empowered snipes hits squishies for <300 dmg.

I'm just unsure why I keep getting so many teabags. No let me rephrase. Why do I get so many Teabags from DC? Is it because my heals are to Strong, Solo Wise? Why did AD stop teabag me? Is EP going to start teabaging me? Is paying for $299 to much for a Router?

(Please note, talking about my server/ campaign and platform I play on.)

If their weapon is sheathed and they are waiting around for a good fight it's really rude to kill them... And then you cry for your friends to save you and 8 people run them over and ruin their night just because you wanted to attack someone who was being rather passive

It's rude (but allowed I guess) too run over 1 person with 10+ people

Congrats if you kill me 1v1 but if you are a Warden then plz just uninstall the game IDC if you are Kodi or just some zergling

It is pretty scummy to run Mark on a stamblade unless you are a sniper

If someone is AFK Bash them to death (yes, bash) so that when they comeback and see the recap they can't complain

Please don't be that person who sprints across the map to save their friend from a 1vXr, if you happen to be rather close that is different

Don't kill me with stupid undodgable/block-able BS

Don't be a permablocker who tries to burst people down with Ult and a bit of fallow-through (though this is being adjusted next patch)

Using most kinds of poisons (They just need to be bloody removed)

Rule of thumb: If it doesn't have a lot of counter play... Don't be that !@#$%^& idiot and use it (This includes 90% of a Warden's tool kit)

It might be understandable in SOME situations if you get a hate tell (like if your group is obnoxious and abusive, and unnecessarily thirsty) but it is uncalled for to send a hate tell if you are the person who beast the other person...like telling your defeated opponent you are trash or your group is trash. I came across this recently...I cannot believe it. Bad sportsmanship is a thing.

These unsportsmanlike players must never have played little league sports as a kid (or maybe they still are kids). Isn't this one of the first things you learn?

web1_ell2-1.jpg

Never understood why people take a game so personally. (Or these forums, for that matter.)

Having done a stint of coaching for youth football in the past, I can tell you that "unsportsmanlike conduct" is prevalent even in the little leagues (mostly from the adults, but kids are not immune)

I told about this in another thread already, but felt it could fit in here too. A guy who usually plays on an AD toon sat in EP area chat, slandering people all over, and criticizing what people did etc. I got called out too, as a bad player and yada yada... Thing is, game was really unbalanced at that moment (AD was even standing outside below the northern gate, killing people who tried to get back to battle).
So, a few guys who usually play AD or DC got onto their EP accounts to kind of "make Cyrodiil great again". Thing is, one of these guys was a guy I've been fighting a lot, a good player - and the two of us even had this mutual "teabag procedure" when we fought. He answered that AD guy (in German): "... he is far better than you ever will be, in fact - none is worse than you, so back to the zerg with you!". That felt pretty good, he sure ain't a friend of mine, but he seems to be able of spotting a true jerk when he see them. :-D

I love salt. It spices things up. Outside glade I ran into a group of like 12ish who made really short work of me alone. Meh. I expect that. But then someone whose name I don't know proceeded to teabag my hole riddled corpse for an extended period of time. That really hurt my feelings, so I was like "Why would you teabag me?" To which he responded "Git Gud, Nerd!" ....... OK......., came back and there was like 4-5 other DC around and we made very short work of them, and I made sure I killed him. And I asked "Gud enough?"..... And he went off on a tirade that was epic, reserved for the salt hall of fame. Brought a tear to my eye, maybe it was dust. I might have felt kinda bad for them......... Generally I'm a nice guy or try to be. But for them, I made an exception. If it had been any of the good groups or a name I recognized, I'd have accepted my defeat and move on.

I don´t get what ppl find hilarious about this. These ppl have been doing that since 1.6 days every time you encounter them.

When i say regularly i don´t mean a couple of times. I mean every time you encounter them over a period of two and a half years by now.
I usually instaqueue guest campaign when they notice me.

But yeah. Hilarious.
Yeah, as an isolated incident, it is really funny. Like I said, your relationship with this group was not clear to me.

It's difficult for me to relate to what you're describing. I tend to think I've stepped on a lot of toes on PC/NA and get chased and focused on a bit, but I haven't heard of anything quite like this before.

So this group who you don't really know anything about will spend a majority of their time chasing you and figuring out where you are so they can chase you some more? There's no history between you and them other than them trying to zerg you down every chance they get? It gets so bad that you have to leave the campaign?

This happened to me recently in ic pc/na shor. I had gone in first w/o any tel var to check the waters and got had this ep 12 man+ chase me all over ic for an hour, some members of that group sending me tells asking me where i am now. No other dc around and i dont believe in a call to arms.
So i left.
Came back later and ganked two ad fighting a boss, killed one, was having a nice fight with the other when a large dc group rolled him. I apologized for the grouo (not the gank as i feel thats par for the course in ic) and left ic again bc there was no reason for them to trounce that poor ad and it triggered me.

Yes. it's like you are supposed to let them have a chance to kill you just because they didn't see it coming, or were helplessly crawling around on the ground like a drunkard as you brutally executed them. People take this too seriously. I mean, the other day I show up on another character, on which I might kill them even easier in the open field, or on a character that basically kills nothing at all. Just because they perhaps could "1v1" me successfully on that toon, doesn't change the fact I still kill them so many times they actually take their time to message me! ;-)
