Man this new DLC update has numerous bugs. Many that were reported on the PTS but ZOS for whatever reason still went live knowing about many of them. Now a massive load screen issue since the new DLC and the Housing Storage Chest issue that has caused players to lose a lot of gear oh and by the way the Storage Chest Issue Had Been Reported on the PTS.

Then the exploit issue that ZOS created with this buggy DLC and players are getting banned for something ZOS caused.

ZOS is on a roll. Real problem is how long will it take to fix this mess. With ZOS's track record on fixing things weeks or months most likely.

ZOS I fail to understand why you continue to release content on the live server with known issues. Every new DLC update the same ole story.

If I recall correctly you stated you had some fixes for the Load Screen issues in this new update. All I have seen is the load screen issue has gotten worse.

Do you people know what you are doing?

Can we also fix some very old and probably most annoying bugs: lightning staff bugs and invisible group members

At this point it should be quite embarrassing that these bugs are still around.

Whilst we're on the subject of bugs, does anyone else have an issue with split stack when in bank? I'm using a controller and the option is there for some things but not for others??

they might need improving release management,

but this is almost everywhere in software industry, you should rather praise them for fixing urgent issues/exploit immediately!

well yes, while it is good that they fixed the exploit fast; many bugs, major ones (like summon shade skill bug of nightblade for example) take them often weeks if not months to fix, which is not ok. things like these need a hotfix in a week or two max!

Its definitely a tradition, and in pretty much every game out there: new content comes out, unexpected bugs crop up. The game company tries to fix them, but they are on a time table; if they delay launch of promised new content they're incompetent boobs who dont know how to run a game...corporate moneymen see the huge wave of negative press and suddenly people are looking for jobs. Or....they push the content out as best they can, bugs show up and they scramble to fix them post launch....they are still accused of being incompetent boobs, but people with cognitive awareness know these things happen...so no bad press and people keep their jobs.

Hmmm. Wonder which YOU'D pick? I know my answer.

The only thing thats a constant are the mass waves of entitled, impatient kids screaming that they cant get what they want, right now, no matter what.

Fun fact. These days we've got both at the same time. ZOS was incompetent boobs because of delaying EU server start for 8+ hours long, and ZOS are incompetent boobs because of all these bugs and issues now.

The arguably worst bug this update is the storage crate issue. Disregarding the PTS bug reports about the crates eating inventory and moving it live anyway is shameful.

You notice how quickly they act when the players gain from their issues (homes sold for 1 crown in error, hugely unintended XP gains get patched out within minutes of being reported), but when the players stand to lose things it gets a shrug and "oh yeah, that's a known issue. We'll fix it in a future release".

I've been playing TES games for almost 15 years now, first the single player ones made by Bethesda - Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim - then for almost 2.5 years, Elder Scrolls Online. The former were so bug ridden and they took so long to fix them, the modders made unofficial patches for all of them, that were better than the official ones, and fixed many of the bugs that were overlooked, many of which were game-breaking ones. Probably the same "let 'em fix 'em themselves or work around 'em" mentality has carried over from Bethesda to Zenimax Online Studios. Unfortunately modders can't "fix 'em" now since they are server side, but they do make the game playable in other ways, primarily by adding essential functionality to the UI (unless you are on consoles, then RIP). I doubt anything will change now, if it hasn't changed in nearly two decades. Zenimax be Zenimax :)

well ok, BUT, there are other games, which are better in this regard, like I read from multiple people writting about WOW for example, that there were also issues like these - major bugs, but they got hotfixed pretty soon. But not like ZOS in months...

Here is the main problem... "scheduling"... ZOS works on a schedule, they follow the exact same schedule and will never delay or postpone DLC launches even when it means posting a buggy product. When something goes to PTS, we pretty much KNOW exactly when the DLC will release... it follows the same exact pattern and time-frame each time. I've never seen them say, "wait, this isn't ready for release, we're postponing launch until..." No, instead they continue their schedule, launch a buggy product, spend the next three months fixing it before the next buggy DLC is launched. Same thing every time.

My experience with Dragon Bones so far:

    - few hours of waiting for EU server to be up again
    - buddy deletes all his healer gear by throwing it into one of the new chests
    - all Nightbalde players on my TS are getting suicidal because assassins will isn't working properly any more
    - everyone is infuriated about the off balance changes
    - weapon swap is not properly working and skills don't come out until you set graphics to low
    - you for what ever reason can't hide the guild tabard with the new outfit system
    - quest in scalecaller peak is bugged and only works after a second completion

One must wonder what the multiple weeks of PTS are even good for. I can accept that from some indie title developed by a hand full students in their basement, but not from a full price game developed by a triple A studio and people that do this as a well paid full time job. The fact that many games have similar problems is not a excuse, it just goes to show how benevolent gamers as costumers are.

Which only illustrate how incompetent and unscrupulous ZoS is. 14 had the worst launch of any title I can think of - even more so then ESO. What did they do? Get a new guy in there to bring life to it and give the game proper direction. Then they brought the game down for several months and worked their asses off to build it back up from scratch apologizing for how crappy their previous game was.

After a few years they upgraded their servers, release content every 3 months (WHICH NEVER FOOKS ANYTHING UP) and have had 2 expansions - again, never breaking a single thing. The game hardly ever comes down and when it does its always back up very fast - when something is broken for a class, its fixed within days at the most. I played for years and years which is while I have come back to this game. I am simply burnt out - but already in a handfull of months I am getting fed up with the bugs and total apathy towards the community.

ZoS could learn a hell of a lot on managment and integrity from how bad 14 started out and how much effort they put into making it run like a well oiled machine. They went from absolute disaster to one of the best MMOs on the market with a lot of hard work based around making the game optomized what people wanted/asked for. ZoS biggest concerns seem to be based around finding a new way to nickle and dime people to death.
