Would you want a "class re-choose" token/option in the game?

I personally wouldn’t want a class rechoose token. I would like a one time alliance change token though, because my main I made before I joined a guild was daggerfall. And would like to change her to EP, so I can get achievements for pvp on it

You know what, instead of a class reassignment option is like to see them let us take on other classes on the same character(s). Instead of a crown store gimmick, work it into the game through a quest. Make us earn it. Make us master it. And then....

    Class fusion.

    This will never happen.

While it is highly unlikely Zos would add a token for changing classes, mostly for the reasons I have stated previously. If they do, you will pay (obviously), regardless if you think it is a gimmick or not to do it that way. Also, Zos has stated they want each class will have it's own distinct aspect so fusion of classes is a no go.

Defo, my main was maxed out on crafting, shards and pretty much all achievements a soloer can get, having to do all that again on my new warden is a pain, but at least its a fun class to play.

    Cheers
Sorry but why do you need to do all that again ?
Because new characters don't have them? That's the primary reason for wanting class change - to keep your existing content progress (questing, crafting, skyshards, etc) while being able to experience a different class from scratch.
Sorry but why does a new character have to have it all
Completionism. Having incomplete completion targets is a major turn off with regards to new character creation. If a completionist doesn't see themselves completing all the content again, they won't create a new character, regardless of how much they want to try a new class.

Sorry but never turned me off from trying a new class I'm on my 10th character just all seems a few lazy people can't be bothered to put some effort in for the reward and just want the easy route

Yes, out of all the MMO's I've played this one is the only one that doesn't do that.
Guild Wars, way back in 2005, allowed one to change their profession (on the fly) and have two at once.
Runes of Magic, also allowed class changes, and a primary / secondary setup as well.
RIFT, the best implementation of classes, allows up to three classes at once. (and has a great transmute feature).
All of these games allow one to change at any time, as many times as you want.

I wish ESO would do the same.
Enter Wayrest temple, "donate" to some game god, and your class could be changed to which ever you chose.
Templar to Nightblade [80000] or however they would figure out current skill points that would be refunded + base cost.
Your three class skill lines would change to level 0, (or if this is a change back, it would remember your previous level)
All points that were spent in the class would refund, and the new classes three skill lines would replace your old ones.
You could do this as many times as you want, as long as you have gold.
Of course, just like skill resets, there would be Crown store items that could do that too.

I play one toon because, yes I'd like to try other classes, but the thought of setting up all my base game settings (Gameplay, Camera, Interface, Nameplates, Social, Combat), all my add-on settings that aren't AccountWide, starting from scratch for my achievements, skill shards, equipment levels, crafting levels, and not getting any Champion points until I reach level 50, is just a huge turn off just to try a different class.

PS, Morphs need a single skill reset option, or just change the skill points to act like Champion Point refund.
Also Achievements need to be account wide, along with base game settings (Gameplay, Camera, Interface, Nameplates, Social, Combat).

One time change is quite strict, maybe there should be a cool down, or a temporary limit to how many times you can change it in a time span, that resets periodically.

Nah, one time change ensures people are just doing it for the new classes. If they choose not to use it on those classes, then thats on them. TES has always been about choice and consequence, but new classes werent usually introduced to TES games, so a 1 time change is more than enough IMO.

TES also never had classes affect end-game so much and you could have any skills and stats on any class. They only defined your initial amount of stats.

Also, this choice is not made in game, it's made outside of it. It's in character creations - BEFORE you actually start the game and BEFORE you know that turns out this or that class sucks at the level cap. And BEFORE any re-balancing and such. It's not like players should be responsible for developers' decisions to change everything thus changing how classes feel compared to other classes.

You arent going to get me to change my mind. I dont think people should be able to change classes at a whim because then we would get people constantly changing class based on the fotm class /build. a one time token guarantees that wouldnt happen.

You can have whatever opinion you want on whether people should be able to change classes. I'm arguing with with the part that is wrong - the part where you connect classes of other TES games and choice and consequence. TES games never ever punished you for choosing a class or even restricted you in ANY WAY. Don't care about changing your mind, but will call you out when you say some nonsense like that.

Sure, you are right, but that is a single player game. Different paramaters to take into account. A one time token PER introduction of a new class would guarantee no FOTM flip flopping, and wouldnt punish people for dedicating loads of time to one toon and wanting to change to a class that wasnt there in the beginning.

Id turn my nightblade into a warden in a heartbeat. That nb has been my main since eso early access, has all crafting skills maxed and most others too, but I was pushing for a nature based class since beta. Now that its here I just don't feel like having to start all over.

I just rolled a new warden (so I could learn the class) and once I got CP160, moved all my unused armor from my NB main. Only thing that sucked was buying bag space and mount training. Mount training really didn't bother me though since my Orc Warden ran at max mount speed anyway. I was pretty much 50 by the time I finished Varfendell and World quests.

HOW WERE YOU 50!? I did everything in vardenfell and was only 27 by the end! O.O

Impossible, neither lvl50 or lvl27. I got to lvl18 max without using xp scrolls from two fresh warden.

I admit i did some pvp too. The exp in vardenfell is just god awful, did ZoS ever justify why its so damned low?

Because it is a DLC like Wrothgar. How much exp is there in Wrothgar?

More than morrowind. With the same amount of pvp and dungeons as my toon that started off in vvardenfell , I am lvl 43 with my orc ice tank, and im not even done. With vvardenfell, i finished -everything- and got to 23. The exp amount is abysmal.

I wouldnt use this because I enjoy leveling new characters, bag space, skyshard, lorebooks and mount feeding included. ESO would never do this because it could theoretically cut down whatever metric the devs use to tell how much players are playing the game.

Other - would like the option but only if the class skills started back at 1 for that character and needed to be leveled. This would allow people to keep their quest/skyshard/crafting progress while discouraging people who just want to chase FOTM builds. It'd also help for people who've spent crowns on things that are locked to specific characters (like exclusive crown crafting motifs or purchased mount leveling) but feel stuck with them since deleting them means deleting purchases made with real world money.

I made an Orc simply to challenge myself to make a good-looking one and I'd say I succeeded. I had to choose a class at that time and since I didn't have a DK yet, I made her a DK. I never got into leveling her but I did increase her Alchemy and Blacksmithing skills for daily writs. Now that the Warden has been release however I would love to be able to turn her into a frosty warden tank without losing the craft progress.

Lol no way. Its easy to level up from 3 to 50. Once you hit level 50 the champion points you will hit your max Champion point matter of fact you can still spend your Champion points when you create a new character t h u s making it a lot easier to level up. I don't see why people always want things handed to them. Or to pay for things.

it's a little grind to level up your Guild and to get all the skills to max out your trees but that comes along with making a new character
