Ya know it’s funny cause I had this other thread ... and they coulda sworn this wasn’t the case....
I mean if kyne is just a bunch of rerollers why not offer a feature where we can all queue in battle de leveled on our mains, so we can enjoy too but will attain AP on our mains
What if they introduced a PvP campaign with low powered gear templates?
I do like the idea of a vet server with no monster sets. The weapon ults you deal with in kyne, and now that I think about it, you even see monster sets in kyne

Counterpoint: the thread is really long and pretty uninteresting.

I'm a complete idiot so none of this makes any sense to me.

I'm gonna wager that whoever told you that hasn't really played in Kyne and is just sharing their assumptions as though it is fact. I mean sure, there are probably more new/inexperienced players in Kyne than in other campaigns, but I honestly doubt that there are significantly more. I haven't spent very much time in other campaigns, but in my brief experience I ran into just as many bad players as I typically do in Kyne. There are a lot of experienced players who play in Kyne regularly, and the campaign has a very dedicated, passionate community (the fact that this is the longest thread on the forums with over 10,000 comments should attest to that). While there are surely people who come to Kyne looking to bully new players, there are also tons of people coming to Kyne looking for challenging fights from the other Kyne regulars and experienced PVPers.
One of the reasons a lot of people prefer playing in Kyne is how difficult it is to actually get top-level gear. Because you out-level your gear as you level up in Kyne, it is incredibly wasteful and inefficient to upgrade gear to gold, as well as to farm things such as monster sets or even dungeon sets. This creates more parity as the gap between the best gear and the worst gear is lower than in other campaigns.
Another unique factor of Kyne is that since you can't play past level 50, you won't be able to unlock every skill, and need to decide which skills are most important rather than just throwing all the best skills on your bar. For instance, getting a MagSorc with Hardened Ward, Streak, and Mines is damn near impossible since those are some of the last skills unlocked in each skill line. If you want a stam build with both Rally and Reverberating Bash, you're not going to be able to spend a lot of time PVPing, as you'll be a pretty high level by the time you unlock both of those skills. Forget about running Poison Injection, as you would need to sacrifice leveling other, more important skills, in order to unlock it. These are only a few examples, but you can look at any class and see instances where you won't be able to unlock all the skills you want, and this ultimately lowers the overall power level of pretty much any build relative to level-capped builds in other campaigns.
In allowing max-level characters to queue into Kyne, you're basically removing two of the largest factors that makes Kyne feel more balanced than other campaigns. If you allow "de-leveled" characters to queue into Kyne at level 48 or whatever wearing golded meta sets with every skill unlocked, you're basically defeating the entire purpose of playing in Kyne.
So yesterday was interesting. I looked around at one point and realized that a GoNB emperor on DC was defending his last keep with: the squat squad, Syphers ww zerg and a small group of PUGz of Daggerfall against an EP group consisting of Shades, Kazi, Raci, Lytis, Regal Imp, Raknosh, Datthaw, Havoc and myself. It was bizarro kyne and it was so much fun.

People who grind weapon ults early, on one shot builds, who only get into Kyne when they are about level 30-35? Yeah, more than a few. Been guilty of that myself a few times. Also a part of why some have a hard time leaving the non vet campaigns, you lose a lot of power merely because of the fact that most of the people you encounter already have a definite build figured out.
This was discussed a few pages back. It’s kind of funny how some people prepare to enter Kyne - when a lot of us will enter at level 10. I had no idea how to play Warden when I entered at level 10 and have adjusted my build while I figured it out in Kyne. Spent a couple hours searching for the right sets to craft, and tested a lot of different set ups. Found one I liked and am now level 41. Didn’t read a guide, didn’t gold out my gear, didn’t level up skill lines yo unlock ultimates - I just played and had fun, and adjusted my build when I felt it needed improvement.
Just a guess but I would say 75% re-roll several times and maybe 25% or so have been primarily in Kyne since BwB was introduced. Again just a guess. Depending on what somebody considers "New player" to be ( 6 months or less ? ) seasoned pros outnumber "new" people 3 to 1. Again it's mainly because Kyne offers the best, most balanced PvP in the game. My opinion of course.
Edit: The 25% or so that don't re-roll are typically the ones who decide PvP is not for them after getting their asses stomped in Kyne.
Alot of us do.
Huh that’s funny some guy told me that kyne is only full of new players.... and no one does this and it’s a campaign for all the new pvpers.... how long have a lot of you folks been doing this ? For science of course...
What percentage of the kyne population does this you say?
I like to see the things certain people from this thread write in other threads. Really makes me scratch my head. Makes me wonder if they understand that ALL of us have access to other threads. Pretty funny.

See - I pretty much only solo and 1vX these days, but I really can't empathize with that anti-zerg perspective. The game was marketed on zerging. The whole point of me soloing is to challenge myself (and that most of my friends in game and irl play during prime time and I can't). I don't pick fights with Drac or other similar and I try to kite a lot to spread groups out - target selection is important. When I get chased by a half raid (which happens all the time), I know I'm probably going to only come out of it with a couple kills if any at all. I don't cry about it. I don't want mechanics that give small groups equal footing because I want to be disadvantaged. If you're not satisfied by the game then don't play it - plenty of other stuff to do.
